Very nice site. Fully serviced pitches which were great. Didn't use toilet block as was busy so used caravan. Nice area handy for Faversham, whitstable and Canterbury. Nice walk to beach. Pool wasn't open but looked nice would be a great site in the summer. Had a roast in club house which was great. Will be returning.

We only stayed at the site for 2 nights and will be returning next year for longer. The pitches were level and not at all cramped. They are all fairly close to the toilet and shower block, which was clean and in good condition. The site manager was helpful and gave us information about the surrounding area. You pay a small amount to use the pool area, which looked inviting but we didn't use. There is a club house, which we didn't use but would be useful if the weather wasn't good. Our pitch looked across a field with horses in it. There is a mainroad nearby. You can hear some noise from it. We camped in a Dandy folding camper, which would give you similar noise levels to a tent and we didn't have any problems getting to sleep, so we didn't think it was a problem.
The best thing about the site is it's location. You can walk to the pebble beach in about 15 minutes (we were told) or drive part way. There was a nice walk over the railway line and past a golf course to the pebble beach then a lovely walk past beach huts and groynes into Whitstable. We had fish and chips on the seafront as the sun set. Our kids are 4 and 6 and loved the beach, even though it was pebbles rather than sand, We drove to Broadstairs (about 35 minutes), which has an attractive sandy beach and town.
We are looking forward to spending more time there next year.

Stayed on this site for 2 nights on our first camping trip as a family (2 adults & 3 boys under 9)
On arrival we were given a map and directed to our pitch which was allocated right next to the toilet and shower blocks. These were very clean and well maintained and although it was peak period, no queuing for showers.
We had electric hook up and a tap which we shared with the pitch next door.
Pitches were fairly close together although some are segregated by bushes and hedges.
There are around 40 touring pitches and a lot of these were taken with caravans. The site has a strict size policy so if you have a large tent, check in advance.
On site swimming pool is outdoor and solar heated so very cold but bearable enough to splash around in for an hour or so!
Nice fenced off dog walking area so you can let your hounds off the lead (although we have a cavalier King Charles Spaniel and she could get under the gate!)
Did have some noise from a large group near us that went on until 2am but my Husband and 3 young sons were not affected, so just me and the dog lay awake listening to them! to be fair I didn't mention it to the warden so can't comment on how they would have dealt with it. To be honest if my kids are asleep, I'm not too bothered about people having a laugh. If, on the other hand, they are woken there would be hell to pay!
We didn't notice the road noise although we live on a main road so we are quite used to it. Large Tesco about 5 minutes drive and the seaside town of Whitstable about 10 minutes drive.
All in all a good first time experience for our family.

Booked this site to coincide with the oyster festival which is in Whitstable just a couple of miles from the site. When we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly lady who told us where everything was, our pitch was good and had water, electric and grey water waste, the touring section is not to big and was occupied evenly with tents, tourers and motor homes, the site appeared to be full which did lead to some queuing for the showers. We really enjoyed this site as it was not to big & overbearing but it did have most of the amenities, the club and pool were very good, our granddaughter loved the pool and the club served reasonably priced basic food. There is no shop on site but there is a large Tesco just a couple of miles away. The road noise was a bit of a pain but it did not spoil our enjoyment. If you do not have children it would be advisable to avoid school holidays as it does get crowded, but this is a nice clean site with everything you need on a small scale and we would definitely go back.

A lovely site!
Very friendly welcome, the whole park is spotlessly clean, showers are great! Although had to wait at times as only 2 in each although there is a separate family shower, little club is nice and not rip off prices for hot food and drink, outdoor pool looked fab although didn't use it, where else can you keep the kids entertained for £1-30 for the whole day!
Each pitch has its own EHU and water tap so saves having to keep walking and carrying heavy water bottles.
The only negativity we could find was that a little site shop would be useful.
Will definitely return!

Before I list the reasons why this site is not for me/us I would like to point out that this is a nice site, well kept with nice flowers everywhere, hedge lined pitches with ample space for caravan, car, awning & fence, polite friendly staff, everything seems tidy well maintained and clean. Having been to many camping and caravan club sites I was keen to try out this independent site which had the majority of good reviews (and so it should as mentioned above). Firstly I found the other campers were not as friendly as I would normally find on a club site and a couple of groups played loud music until late plus another group of campers had a small dog which barked for most of the night and kept us awake. Also the road noise is constant and rather annoying, I am use to quiet when away and so this was off putting. The lane which leads to the site is extremely narrow and as such I did not feel I could take the dog off site as I usually would when away, there is no other way to leave the site - it is completely enclosed and has no walks leading away from site. The site does have an enclosed dog area but this is not large and so I found myself walking the dog round the site which seemed a little strange because then he is toileting between static caravans and people's garden areas (always cleaned up mind!). The touring site was only half full and the toilets and showers never seemed too busy but with only 2 toilets and 2 showers in the mens I could understand how this could be too few as another review has already mentioned plus the showers do seem to send water all over the place and largely into the changing area and toilet next door. Overall this is a good site but these niggles are enough for me to favour other locations more.

Like many other reviews the road noise of the A299 is mentioned. Yes you can hear it but only if you are listening for it, otherwise it just blends in as a minor background noise.
That aside my family and I cannot recommend this site highly enough.
We stayed the first weekend in September just before the end of the school holidays. The pitch was serviced with water and electricity and was very spacious and flat, protected by hedgerows, which gave a degree of privacy. Plenty of room for a nice size camp and the car.
Toilet and washroom facilities were A1, constant hot water and kept nice and clean. Family facilities if required at no extra charge.
From the kids point of view they enjoyed the football pitch, play area and swimming pool.
This is a nice small sized site probably best suited for a long weekend or a week and a good base for the surrounding coastal areas and places such as Canterbury.
Great management, very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended, definitely will be returning. Thanks.

This site has good facilities as mentioned in previous reviews. The only thing it lacks is a on site shop which would benefit it enormously.
There is a spar and similar shops at the end of Church Lane but I wouldn't recommend walking to them as the very narrow lane is used as a cut through and is only wide enough for one vehicle. This I think should have a one way system in place.
Tescos is a five minute drive away.
There is a restaurant on site serving food from 9AM to 9PM. This also doubles as the entertainment/ Bar room which in my opinion is way to small for the size of the camp. Entertainment was laid on but we got there a little late and it was standing room only, so we opted for wine a beer in the Awning.
There is a constant road noise which would put me off if I was in a tent but was just bearable in the caravan. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Just returned from 1 nights stay at this site and will have already booked a longer stay.
Lovely well kept site with nice fully serviced pitches & a newish facility block which although only had 2 toilet & shower cubicles this seemed like it would be enough for the 43 touring/camping pitches.
There is a clubhouse on site with a friendly bar that also serves food at reasonable prices & attached to the clubhouse is a lovely outdoor swimming pool & sun terrace, although the pool is relatively small it looked great for the kids on a nice day. The swimming pool is charged at £1.20 per person but that is for the full day.
Whitstable town is just 5 minutes drive away, 10 minutes to Canterbury & the seaside towns of Thanet are also close by.
Lovely site, well maintained & we can't wait to spend longer there.

We have visited this site a few times now and in fact after half term (and being the last on the site before it closed) we have booked again for Easter.
We love the 'luxury' of own waste and water.
The site is well run with friendly staff. We have not used the pool but friends children have and they loved it.
We always love visiting Whitstable which is a short drive. There is a large Tesco nearby. Whilst the main road is nearby, we have never found the noise an issue.
We would recommend this site, and look forward to our next visit.
