We found the site very clean and he staff were very friendly. Local to various attractions. The showers and toilets were clean and of high standard and the camp is quiet at night so is good for small children. The pool can get busy but is ok to cool down in the hotter weather. The food in the clubhouse is good and reasonably well priced and the bar is good too. Not much entertainment on this site so teens would be bored. Overall a happy holiday and we would recommend this site to any one who asked.

We have been to this site before and were looking forward to staying here again. We arrived just after the bank holiday weekend and the site was nice and quiet but it filled up again by the following weekend. Even when the site is full up it doesn't feel like you are blocked in as the pitches are so big. The site is close to Thanet Way but we don't really notice the noise, in fact its lovely to be close to a main road which gives access to so much of Kent. We were disappointed that the playground has been removed as we have 2 boys who are much too big for the current play area, it would probably suit under 5's. We did use the football pitch a few times and thought it was great. We wanted to use the tennis court but it was £3 to hire for an hour and you had to have your own rackets and balls, we thought for £3 they could have had some equipment to hire out. I only saw it used a couple of times while we were there.
The local area is lovely, the road along the seafront at Seasalter is wonderful, lots of little houses and open countryside. Whitstable, Herne Bay and Canterbury are only a short journey away. We also visited Reculver where it was really windy. Our favourite place in the area is Wildwood near Herne Bay which has a collection of British wildlife in a beautiful woodland setting.
The site will not allow any commercial vehicles on the touring area.
The only other problem we had was when we left there were 3 caravans waiting to go out and they did not open the massive front gates for us and we all had to squeeze through the tight smaller front gates and turn sharply onto the road outside.
Having said that Homing Park is a lovely site and I would recommend it.

Stayed for 8 nights over half term in May, arrivals was fast and easy and they were more than happy to let us on our pitch early as it was unoccupied at the time of our arrival, the site was busy but immaculate and very quiet at night. The beach is a good half hour walk away and longer if you are going into Whitstable, the fish market is wonderful with fresh fish every day. The town has everything you would need including Tesco's, Sainsbburys and lots of small local shops. The beach at beach at Tankerton is stoney but lovely and there are places where you can take dogs on if you have them.
The kids enjoyed the tennis courts and although you pay £3 the owners are happy to leave you with the key if no one else has booked it out. Additionally the swimming pool is ok for the children although at times they said it felt cold.
Canterbury is 9 miles away and Margate, Broadstairs, Hearn Bay are all within an easy drive of one another although Margate leaves a lot to be desired!
Two extremely minor issues, I believe it would be nice to have a mop in the shower rooms so people can clean up after themselves and also in busy periods the toilets were always out of paper first thing in the morning and at the weekends even in the evenings. These are I know very minor but if put right would make the park near to perfect, the toilets were lovely with lots and lots of hot water, we all loved the showers as you do not have to keep pressing a button which lasts for 10 seconds so that made a refreshing and very pleasant change.
Although there is a main road near by the noise did not bother us much at all. A lovely 8 days and we would definitely go back superb

Family of 4 stayed last weekend of September in a 2005 Montana 6. First time campers with second hand tent. Lovely weather during the day but very very cold at night, also a constant hum of road noise all night as the site is only about 200 metres from the Thanet Way.
The site has well laid out pitches with water, electric and TV aerial socket on all pitches, we were put on pitch 10 which slightly sloped backwards, the only downside I would say is that the ground is uneven there are lump and bumps everywhere this may be down to being the end of the season but the pitch opposite us had a crack the size of my foot and ran the width of the pitch.
The toilet and shower block was great, hot water all day and night. They consisted of 2 toilets, 2 lockable wash basin cubicles, a free standing basin and 2 shower cubicles also lockable.
The washing up facilities were also very good with 2 sinks and very hot water.
The playground on site was ok would suit under 5s really and the football play area was quite a walk from the touring area but seemed ok.
The owners of the site were very helpful and lent me a spanner to undo the gas bottle from the cooker and also when our peg puller broke they lent us a spare. There is a clubhouse and swimming pool on site but did not use either.
Didn't really explore the surrounding area as we have family in Whitstable and as I said earlier we were first time campers and just wanted somewhere to try out the camping life but with a back of family near by.
We would return without doubt, mainly due the facilities.

This is a fairly large site , however most of it is occupied by static caravans. The camping area has well marked pitches with water and electric hook up on all off them. There is a very nice toilet/shower block M & F (only two showers and toilets in each) plus a family area with one WC, Shower 2 sinks and a baby changing drop down table. As there was a rally on during our visit we found that the toilets were sometimes blocked and I believe this is because of lack of loo roll, so people use the blue paper towels instead. There is an outdoor swimming pool, and a clubhouse, the swimming pool is unheated so you need to use it on the hotter days. The club house is in need of some attention as it has seen better days, but staff are friendly and I think you could stay all night if you wanted! The tennis court was £3 PH and you could play longer if no one else had booked after you. Very friendly staff and a good all round site. Londis shop about 1 mile or Tescos abot 2 miles Despite the slight toilet problem we would definitely return here. 8/10

Homing Park is a lovely site, each pitch has its own electric, water and tv aerial connection. The toilet block is very modern, the site was full, so there was abit of waiting at times, as there are only two showers (in the ladies), but it was quite rare to wait too long. The main playground has been taken away, there is now only a toddlers (up to age 6ish) play area, we were a bit disappointed with this as the website shows it as still there. Also the pool charges are not mentioned on the website, adults have to pay even if they are not swimming, (as the pool is rarely heated there was no way I was going in)and as no under 18's are allowed in the pool without an adult you are tied, it works out about £4 a day extra for two adults and two children. The bins around the pool were also very rarely emptied so by the end of our stay which was lucky for us, very hot, there were lots of wasps appearing!
There is no shop on site, unless you want sweets or icecreams, but our dog enjoyed his morning stroll about 15 mins down the road to Londis for a paper, so that wasn't a problem. There is also a massive Tesco's 5/10 mins up the road in the car.
All in all we had a great stay, and would visit again but the main let down for us was the very cold swimming pool with hardly any sunbeds and the very dated club, both of which are not actually run by the site owners themselves.

Almost immediately after turning off the main road, we arrived at site. Entrance faces a new housing estate, which was a little off putting. The massive side gates were shut, so turning into the entrance gates was a bit tight.
The site was like a ghost town when we arrived, the pitches are very spacious & marked out well. All with electric, waste drainage & tv ariel. By the evening the site started to fill up. Although you are next to the main road, you cant really notice the noise from the traffic.
Although they advertise being 3/4 mile from the beach, it's more like 1.5 miles. You can walk it, but if you have children, please keep hold of them at all times, as the road is a single lane, with 2 way traffic, and not the ideal lane to walk down.
There's a local shop about 7 minutes walk away, also down the same road, with a nice little pub further on. If going into whitstable, its only 5 minutes in the car. The harbour is a lovely place to look around & taste some of the seafood. The shops have a lovely atmosphere about them. Dont be fooled, by thinking the harbour is the only place to visit, because its the main town. There are other lovely places to visit, just try & keep on the coast & your'll find them.
The toilet & shower block was excellent, very clean. Probably the best we have seen so far. The showers were good, not much different from your own one at home. They also have mirrors in the shower cubicle. The only thing missing from the pitch is, that they have no waste bins. They are situated at the front entrance. There is also no dog walking area, which can be a problem if you like your dog to have a run off the lead. There are also dog waste bins around the static site, but not on the touring pitches!
Visited the club house on the second evening. Stayed for one very quick drink. It's in very much need of a major re-fit. It is also independantly run, which I think is not a good idea, as the standards are not to the level of the park. I know the clubhouse is old, but this is old & ramshackled. They allowed dog's in there, & the staff were not concerned with any of the behaviour. You could not distinguish between the staff & guests.
Would love to go back to this site, as it's only about an 1.2 hours from thurrock, so makes an ideal weekender site, but would steer clear of the clubhouse until its been refurbished! (clubhouse was full of drunken revellers, dog's running all over the dance floor, drinks being spilt all over the dance floor, & young children & adults dragging young puppies around by the lead, literally!) I thought I was in tilbury docks!
Having a dog of my own, who we greatly adore, I do believe there are places dogs should not be allowed, & a clubhouse at night being one of them! They also ask you to pick up your dog waste, which having my own dog & being a dog lover, we have no problem with. It's a shame that the people that run the clubhouse with the little white poodle, dont abide by the same rules.
Went away with no children, by the friday evening, there were plently of kids about. It would make an ideal site to visit for the weekend, to just relax & chill, letting the kids play.
Would visit this site again. We also found another little good site by exploring the little coastal towns. We had a lovely relaxing weekend here visiting all the local towns. By the way, the local chippy, 2 minutes down the main road, is lovely!

This site has excellant pitches and an excellant toilet block. We have given review previously, about the site and the staff, Mick, Yve and Dan, and the facilities - we thought they were excellant, so we went back for another visit, to check if they were as good as we thought.
Surprise surprise THEY WERE.
Looking forward to many more visits in the future.

A quick two day visit to trial our new trailer tent. We live quite close by and have always overlooked this site as being too close to bother with. This was a mistake. We all thought the site was great. It was extremely clean & tidy (the showers/loos were exceptional). We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful receptionist. The pool is cheap to use albeit a little chilly and the club house is dated but we understand is soon to be invested in. This wholly uncommercialised site should be viewed as a little gem and is certainly amongst our favourites.
