We have just spent a long weekend at this campsite and had a lovely time. Pitches were a generous size and had the added bonus of a water tap. The toilet block was lovely and clean and showers were always hot whatever time of day or night you chose to use them.
Nice little clubhouse that serves food and an outdoor pool which our children spent nearly 3 hours in so it couldn't have been that cold! It also has a small play park to keep the kids amused.
Security guard patrolled the site which made you feel safe.
Whitstable and Herne bay just a short car ride away and worth a vist.
Only negatives are the constant sound of cars zooming past on the nearby A road and our pitch had quite a lot of potholes and was a little uneven. But even that said we had a lovely time.

Arrived at site to a warm welcome, we had a large Level pitch with with its own fresh water tap, waste water and tv point although tv not used,
The toilet and showers were very clean and tidy in fact I would say probably the best we have had so far in over 20 years of caravanning,
The small friendly clubhouse offers quality food at good prices 2 x mains for £12 and was lovely,
All the grounds were kept very nice and tidy, there is a small outside swimming pool which looks nice but we did not use it as the weather was awful. The site also has a well kept playground, football pitch and tennis court.
The only downside to this site is there is no shop but 2 super stores near by.
I must say all in all I think this is in the top 5 sites we have visited in over 20 years of touring, well done to all the staff we will be back

Super site. Large pitches with privacy. Every one with power and a tap. Spotlessly warm & spacious toilet block. Only blip was the roar of traffic from the Thanet Way nearby.
Great for touring the region. We came for the Open Golf & Canterbury nearby. Nothing was within walking distance though.
The seashore is over an hours walk away and Whitstable ( for Champayne, Oysters & great shopping! ) is a couple of miles down the road.
We got chatting to a couple who camp in Kent regularly and they said it was the best site in this neck of the woods.
Certainly the best one in the Whitstable area

Primarily static vans, but space for about 20 tents. Lovely campsite area is set away from vans in its own field. Each tent gets its own hedged off bay with dedicated water & electricity.
Toilets are exceptionally clean and new, and although there are only 2 showers per gender, the block is dedicated to the tents area so I never queued for a shower.
Site is nicely & neatly grassy with a gravel road. Swimming pool is nice, staff very helpful. No on site shop but major tesco 1 mile away. Beach is a little far to walk - about 25 mins, and Whitstable itself is driving distance, but has a large car park near the sea front.
Don't miss Whitstable harbour for fresh seafood and dining, and the great little weekend market.
This campsite makes a perfect base, albeit a bit close to the A299 - road noise is constant but not a deal breaker.
The site itself is just great - not the cheapest, but worth the money. Highly recommended !

Stayed there with Caravan in June we found Park very clean although There are no rubbish bins on pitches we had to take to main bin at site entrance
The shower/toilet block very good
Shower block cleaning was fist thing in morning would have been better to clean much latter,
good size pitches. Very noisy as there is a main
Road behind site.
Had no problem getting in main gate which is quite narrow
one word of warning on leaving the site if you have a long caravan you might find it a very tight turn when you pass the shower block as there is a concrete boulder on one side the corner and a large flower box the other side

Just home from a 4 day stay, there were 6 adults and 7 children in our group,
First view of the campsite very clean, staff very friendly and there if needed,
Toilets/showers very clean, could do with more showers only 2 there, having said this they are free and this is a bonus. Liked the lay out of the site, and the fact that each hook up had its own water tap, a simple thing but its those things that make it better.
Children's play area/ football pitch small therefore areas for children to play limited, would like to see something going on for children during the day. Did have raffle and egg hunt etc. This weekend as it was Easter this was good.
Would also like to see on site shop for basics.Swimming pool £2.00 per child and I didn't see a lifeguard. Beach too far to walk for little ones. So we would have to go outside for entertainment for the children during the day but this is added expense

Location: Poor; convenient for Whitstable and the coast but the constant noise of a very busy A-road was just too much for me.
Facilities: Excellent; it’s mainly static caravans and has the facilities to match, way more than I expect or make use of when I go camping. It even has a swimming pool and bar.
Value: Fair; a little overpriced compared to most campsites, but then it does have the facilities to match.
Service: Good; the staff are friendly with the feeling of a family run business.
Overall: Fair; the great facilities and good service just don’t make up for the poor location with its constant loud road noise. I don’t expect to be returning, shame really.

Spent a weekend at the site with one other family. Site very clean, staff very helpful. We only paid for one night, the other night was free.
I felt a couple of things were lacking, however. There are 40+ pitches and some statics, but no shop, not even for basics. There is a Spar within about a 5 minute walk. Whitstable with its antique shops and Seasalter with its lovely windswept beach were both within a very short drive of the site.
I was very disappointed with the pitch. Our friends had a better, more level one, but the ground on both pitches was very lumpy and uneven that you could feel beneath our friends' groundsheet and carpet.
The washblock was very clean, but if the site had been full there would not have been enough facilities for everyone. Also, it was cleaned at 9 am both mornings, just at the time when people want to use them.
We would go back, but only for a weekend.

We visited in August 2010 and had a great time. The site is efficiently run by the owners who are extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble and everything is done with a smile.
The site is spotless. It has a quality and nicely equipped play area for children. There is a brand new club house which offers excellent quiz/bingo nights in a comfortable and friendly bar. There is fantastic new swimming pool and poolside area which our children loved. Overnight security is present just in case, again, in a pleasant easy-going way. The whole place is very dog friendly but in fact there are not that many dogs around.
There are shops nearby including a very high quality and comprehensively stocked Spar about ten minutes walk from the site, Tesco and Sainsbury's are a short drive away. The whole place is peaceful yet quietly active. It's a very pleasant walk along the seafront to Whitstable. Couldn't recommend it too highly. I wish all camping were like this!

Have just returned from a very pleasant week long stay at Homing Park. Staff were very friendly and helpful and maintained a visible presence throughout. Nothing threatening or overbearing, but enough for everyone to know that they were there if needed.
The site itself was nice and clean and the shower/toilet blocks were cleaned daily (Twice a day on weekends I think).
There is also plenty to do in the local area including Howletts zoo, Canterbury, etc. I can't comment on the other facilities (Swimming pool, clubhouse, etc) as didn't use them in our time there although they seemed to be popular with the other campers.
The only area for improvement I could see is that there are only 2 showers each for the men and ladies, and the shower drainage left a bit to be desired (So don't leave your shoes on the floor of the changing area!). That said though I don't remember ever having to wait too long to use the shower, and the lack of showers did mean that when you did get in the shower, the water pressure was good. I think it's the first camp site I've used where the showers are stronger than my own!
Would certainly return.
