Excellent site all round. Toilets/washrooms always clean. Unfortunately due to and injury received by one our party, outside of the site, we had to leave early.
The wardens on the site at that time Yvonne @ Lawrence were the nicest people we could have wished to meet and the help they gave to angela (broken leg) and her husband was first class.
They were so helpful, generous of their time, that we plan to meet up with them again next year but under better circumstances.

The site is easy to find and easy access, the pitches are large and flat and the site is well screened with trees and shrubs. The walk into Ayr along the river takes about 15 minutes and the beaches are another 10 minutes further on.
There is no dog walk, but the road to the site has large grassy areas and leads to a nice walk down through gardens to the river. The toilets and showers are very clean, but the showers could do with an update, the water flow is very poor and the heat control can be very erratic, there are only 4 and even in April there were queues in the mornings, yet there were 6 privacy cubicles all stood empty, surely they could convert some to showers?
The wardens were friendly and helpful with a good knowledge of the local area. We would certainly go back again due to the location.

Never having used this site before we decided this time to take the caravan and picked Craigie as a location for visiting family. We really enjoyed our 4 nights at this lovely site which is deceptively peaceful, being within the town of Ayr.
Toilet block is very clean and the site in general is very well kept. The shop offers a selection of useful items. Water and bins all seem to be well situated and not a trek away. We didn't have a problem with TV reception in the area we pitched, which was not on the outside fence, but across the road.
Ayr itself has a beach, plenty of eating places and a variety of shops, but for something a little different, travel through to Prestwick for unusual shops. Culzean Castle and Burns Cottage are just two of the many options to visit in the surrounding area.
Would highly recommend a visit to Craigie Gardens. We will be back.

Spent October week here, excellent site all round. Just an advisory, surrounded by tall fully matured trees, and sight of Astra satellite limited to pitches in central area of site. For TV addicts be advised. Otherwise excellent site nice walks etc. Site was full in October week

We stayed at Craggie Gardens in August for 3 nights. The site is well kept and the toilets and showers are kept clean. The wardens are very friendly and gave us advice on where to go and what to see in the area so we could make the most of our stay. They even told us where the best eating places where and where the dog friendly pubs were. It is walking distance to Ayr along the riverside path. The beach at Ayr is a golden sandy beach and there are play areas along the front for those with children. The National Trust Culzean Castle is a short drive away and is well worth a visit. We would definitely visit again.

Would definitely recommend this site, lovely walks along the river and within walking distance of Ayr which is a nice town with plenty of good shops to visit.
A short drive away is Rabbie Burns's cottage which is well worth a visit.
Ayr also has a beautiful beach with miles of lovely golden sand.
The site wardens are very friendly and really go the extra mile to be helpful to everyone.
There is a small play park for children, and the shower block and toilets are spotless.

Fantastic site, clean and well maintained. Pitches are well laid out and the staff are very helpful and pleasant. The toilet blocks are clean and well looked after plus you don't have to travel far to reach other facilities like water and bins. There is a small play park on site which kept the young one amused, she found it a great meeting place to meet new friends
Ayr is a short walk away with plenty of shops, ten pin bowling, swimming pool, beach, large park and amusements.
My only complaint is because I had not renewed my Caravan Club membership, I was charged an extra £10 per night on top of the normal fee. This in my opinion amounts to daylight robbery, it is being treated this way that puts me off renewing my membership and makes it unlikely that I will use this site again which is a shame.

We had a pleasant weekend at this caravan club site. It is in a more built up area than we would normally choose, but it was peaceful enough. It is possible to walk or cycle into Ayr along the river and as it is next to the uni campus at the weekend this was very quiet.
The loos and showers were nice and clean with plenty of hot water. There is a small children’s play area but I did not see a large grass area for ballgames etc.
Lots of leaflets in the info hut, but strangely none for Glasgow. As it is less than an hour away by road or train, I would expect some visitors would want to visit the city’s many galleries, museums and shops. There is a huge Tesco very close by which also had a fuel station.
Overall a nice site, particularly if you want to be able to walk to shops, pubs and the beach.

On arrival we found the staff to be friendly and helpful, the site was always clean and well maintained during our mid week stay. The site is situated next to the university within 15-20 minutes walk along the river from the town centre and beach. The toilet block was always clean and tidy as we're all the hard standing pitches.
