We returned again this year for 7 nights from the 05/08/17 in a tent with electric hook-up at the Grange Holidays campsite in Flamborough. The site didn't disappoint once again. It is a very quiet, clean and well laid out site. The toilets, shower block and pot wash were spotless. It is a dog friendly site and is a short walk to the village, wildlife and nature attractions. The staff and owners are very friendly and welcoming. Will return again. Flamborough is a lovely location for a family holiday.

Recently returned from a week staying at the Grange in our motor home.
A very well run site, not too large and very peaceful, with spotless shower / toilet facilities, all pitches kept very neat and tidy and for anyone with dogs, the site is surrounded by walks suitable to let your dog run free.
It is just a five minute stroll across a public footpath to Flamborough village where there are four pubs, two chip shops and a great Co-op mini market. We ate at the Rose and Crown most nights where the food is brilliant value and the service from Jim was first class - the portions were usually too big for us !
At the Grange, Karl and Sue couldn't be more helpful so the location is perfect for anyone looking to explore Flamborough and the beautiful surrounding area.
We shall be back !

Stayed here just for one night. Had planned to join friends elsewhere but they refused us on account of our dog, so we were pleased to be accepted here as it meant we could join the friends for pub meal in Flamborough. We were given hard standing pitch. All pitches are laid out in 6 rows, not much space between them but as we were only there to sleep it wasn't a problem. You can see the pitch map on their website and even request your preferred spot. Minimal info given on check in. Well cut grass and neat hedges. Easy access to dog walk and took about 30 mins to walk to cliffs.
Clean facilities with the usual push button showers. Walkable into Flamborough.

The site is a peaceful, relaxing site but also friendly, a few sited tourers with friendly people, the owners are also very welcoming and always offer a free cuppa when in the office, the site is very well kept even in winter the grass is in great condition. Toilet block is new and kept clean at all times, showers are always hot and free, a great base to explore the beautiful surrounding areas and close to bridlington town with plenty of shops, although they have no play park for children the children that were there seemed to enjoy themselves, we'll be back many times I'm sure in the future

We stayed for 4 nights in a tent with electric hook-up at the Grange holidays campsite in Flamborough from the 13th to the 17th September 2016 wanting a peaceful holiday after the kids had gone back to school. This site didn't disappoint. It was very quiet, clean and well laid out. The toilets, shower block and pot wash were spotless. It is a dog friendly site and is a short walk to the village, wildlife and nature attractions. Good local pubs nearby. The staff and owners are very friendly and welcoming and would stay at this site again. Flamborough is a lovely location for a family holiday.
Kind Regards
Pete

Just got back from our first trip to The Grange, take no notice of the bad reviews from a couple of years back, it has new owners and the site is really good, good location, good toilet & shower block, some great walks directly off site, no need to walk on the roads, great for dogs, lovely village too, we, ll be going back.

This is a nice campsite :)
Good spacing between the tents but not much before the next row starts but not really a problem
Nice firm and flat ground and the pitch gets sun all day :) but be aware even though it can be baking hot in the day it gets cold when the sun goes down and it becomes quite chilly
Overnight it gets bitterly cold, yes even in August when its almost 30 during the day and we had to get thermals as we woke up around 2:00am and could not sleep as it was absolutely freezing
The facilities are nice, new and fresh and the showers are push for a minute of hot water but my advice is to keep the water running as after around 10 seconds when you press the button you get a blast of ice cold water then boiling hot (only a couple of seconds) then its fine and if you keep the water flowing the temperature remains just fine
There are three showers and three toilets in separate blocks but I did not have to wait or queue and managed to walk in every time
My wife had issues with the ladies washroom, the drainage is not as good and for a few nights the entire floor was flooded (take flip flops) and the ventilation was not up to the job so when it came to drying her hair my wife (and others) had to prop the door open
Unlike other campsites I have been to the shower units have a complete shower cubicle with door inside the individual unit so you can hang up your clothes etc without fear of then getting wet from overspray
The staff cleared the blockage midweek and the ladies was fine afterwards but I overhead the cleaners mention they have seen it worse which suggests this could happen again or maybe only in busy periods
The staff are helpful and very friendly and are only too happy to help
Locally in the village there are a few pubs which are all good. We tried the Rose and Crown which was out of this world and over the road is a brilliant coffee shop :)
Scarborough, Bridlington both have fantastic sandy beaches but are full of coin arcades and fast food shops (Scarborough has seven arcades n the front and the same amount of takeaway's
Whitby was similar but not so bad, Filey and Serwebey were free from all the typical tourist 'trash'
The campsite is quiet and peaceful, you get a couple of tents snoring but that cant be helped I suppose however nothing bad
On the downside there are no freezers to keep your ice packs chilled also no communinal power points so if you need your phone, tablet etc charged then you will need an electric hookup
However this is just a niggle but forewarned is forearmed

Great site nice pitches and modern toilet and shower block everyone very friendly. Got a bit of a sea mist which made it feel cooler though it was sunny. The surrounding area is lovely and had a trip to see the sea birds at RSPB Bempton Cliffs, great very noisy a bit smelly but a marvelous spectacle. Wanted to see a Puffin and we did see three amongst thousands and thousands of gannets fulmars kittiwakes guillemots and razor bills a bit like Where's Wally ? but still it is three more than I've ever seen before. Flamborough Village is about 15 mins walk away and I can honestly say it's the friendliest place I've ever been. Four pubs in village went in three as one is supposed to be more like a restaurant, The Ship where we ate on two nights and very good too, The Royal Dog and Duck is very sociable and busy at three o, clock in the afternoon, The Rose and Crown with all empty tables except one had a reserved sign on them in the afternoon on a weekday except for a small snug which was full with about eight people in and we were told we could not sit down in the empty lounge with a drink unless we ordered food. We drank up and left. Like most of the villagers who told us after, we wont bother with this pub again. Went to Bridlington on the bus from Flamborough on a Saturday the resort is lovely but pubs a bit boisterous probably better during the week depending on what you like.

Had a very pleasant stay here over the Halloween weekend. Owners are very pleasant and try to make everyone feel very welcome. The location of the site Very good easy to assess from main road but is a quite site, the only sound we heard was the fog horn off the coast ! No traffic noise. The toilet and shower blocks are very modern and very clean. The showers have good water pressure and plenty of hot water. The pitch was hard standing which we requested and we could park a car along side easily. We will definitely be making a return trip.

We have just returned home from a four day camping stay on The Grange in Flamborough. We actually had a three night stay three weeks ago too. We love this site. We did stay three years ago and we really enjoyed our stay then also. It has changed since new ownership and the showers, toilets and washing up facilities are even better than last time. Tent pitches are nicely spaced out and although its school holidays, not crowded at all. It's a very peaceful friendly site and the owners are very friendly and helpful. There is now little reception hut is open each day for a few hours. Even in the evening its peaceful very early with no rowdiness. It's so quiet by dusk that we were able to watch the barn owls hunting in the field next to us! We would highly recommend this site as it close to the village and local pubs. The Rose and Crown food was amazing! The owners make a point of saying they want us to enjoy ourselves and we heard this time and time again as we passed reception. Last time we stayed three years ago, I booked and paid over the phone and was given a barrier code. We came and pitched our tent, then went three days later without seeing any member of staff, we found that very strange, although we did enjoy our stay then. We will definitely be returning and hope to become regular customers. We even had local farmer sell us freshly laid eggs yesterday morning ! Lovely, ! Great place. Was sad to leave this morning !
