A pleasant campsite with everything you need. We camped and found an array of useful facilities. Showers with nice warm water and basins outside the shower cubicles for grooming including plug sockets for hair drying etc. Outside the toilet and shower facilities two large sinks with draining boards for washing -up ( lovely hot water) around the corner an outside tap with hose for cleaning anything from dirty wellies, dog paws, mucky tent ground sheets etc. Waste toilet outside for portable toilet waste disposal.
All Clean facilities. A row of trees around the site make way for hanging a temporary washing line.
During our stay we found a mixture of caravans and tents and a variable residency of families with children, Regulars in caravans. Single Ramblers. Overall fairly quiet at night with no loud parties or fires. People generally went out at night and came back to sleep.
The nearest beach Flamborough houses some of Britains most stunning views with cliffs and mysterious looking trees and a light house the glistens in the distance at night from the campsite. The wildlife is abundant Deer sightings, badgers and foxes as well as free range chickens walking around. Although no sign of any wildlife around the campsite at night. Just a gentle sound of an owl somewhere in the trees. Many places to visit all the way along the coast. Would definitely visit The Grange again AA++

We stayed for two nights as a family of four with two small children. We arrived in very wet weather conditions but managed to get the tent up fine. The facilities are very basic but reasonably clean. Please note you do have to bring your own soap as there isnt any in the toilet block or shower block.
We booked over the phone as everyone else and got the code for the gate and pitch number. The owners were very friendly and even helped us with directions when we rang when we got lost! They also helped us with a weather report when I rang a couple of hours before we set off, as the weather was that bad we were undecided whether to go or not!
The site is located in a lovely place with nice views of the surrounding fields and a field with horses in which our children loved to go see.
There is a nice walk to flamborough village through the back of the fields, was a bit of a struggle with the buggy as the field was that saturated. It is only ten minute walk, when you come out of the field you cross the road and go down another short track with a large gate, you are then at the rose and crown pub which is very nice and if you go down the side of the rose and crown there is a small children's playground and playing field.
If you turn right at the rose and crown and carry on up the road the small village has fish and chips shops, tea rooms, mini supermarket, newsagent and pubs such as the ship, the royal dog and duck which has lovely food and lots of variety.
Also the Sea Birds which the food is very nice too and the staff there are lovely, one of them even offered to drive us back to the camp site as the weather was very wet.
It also has a lovely peaceful lawned beer garden at the back. I would definitely return again to this site, it is a lovely peaceful set campsite, very basic but great routes and walks to flamborough and flamborough head, perfect for a quiet weekend away.

We have been to this site quite a lot and previously it has been run down. However, it is much nicer now and personally find the new owners approachable. The site is much improved by having new showers, as before I followed a rat in the shower, previously. The whole family will help if you have any queiries and all the family are involved in running the business, which makes a nice change, last year we made several visits to the site. The village is plentiful of public houses and has a play ares for the children, and we have even applied to the local club to become members. The site is only a few miles of Bridlington or the other way is Filey and Scarborough. Nobody should be bored when visiting as there is enough of things to do from just relaxing or visiting other places of interest.

Don't understand some of the negative views on here but each to their own I suppose. As with everyone else, paid over the phone, given gate code etc, etc. Yes, pegs can be difficult to get in but not always. Toilets were clean and loads of hot water both in showers and in wash up area. You won't really see the owners but if you want anything the office is through the caravan storage area and they are really approachable and help anyway possible. A 5 minute walk into Flamborough, take a torch at night though, and a couple of great pubs, (personally I think The Ship is awful), a good fish and chip shop and a small Coop. Prices reasonable for this traditional style, no frills site. No play areas or anything but there are play facilities in the village. Would I return? Yes.

Me and my husband visited this site last 4 years ago, and it has changed a lot. Last time we came we drove down a nice driveway and through the farm, which was really nice. But this time the enterance has moved down the road behind some Factory units.
Upon arriving we typed the pin into the barrier and went to our designated pitch.
Stayed at this site for 4 nights. It is close to the village of Flamborough which has all the shops you need. Good pub grub near by! There is a footpath leading most of the way to the village from the site.
The showers were an improvement on our last stay, and were kept clean and tidy.
On our second morning there was a funny plasticy smell coming from the factory units beside the site, though this didn't bother us too much as we were going into Bridlington for the day.
This site used to have a friendly touch, but that has now gone. We shall not be returning to this site.

When we booked we were given the barrier code and paid in full for the 3 nights. When we got there we just went through the barrier and found our pitch.
We never saw the owners all the time we were there. It is a basic site but OK for the price. The shower/toilet block were basic but OK. The showers were actually quite big but the water sprayed everywhere and no dry area.
It is a 10 minute walk to the village of Flamborough which is quite a nice village with local shops and pubs.
The Flamborough Gala was on whilst we were there so it was nice to wander around the stalls.
We went in both pubs but ate at the Dog and Duck. The meals were really nice and good value. It was really busy.
The site is a 45 minute walk up to Flamborough Heads.

Just got back from 2 nights here, had a good time, the weather wasn't too great but didn't stop us. The site is relatively flat, bit difficult getting pegs in in places but wasn't too bad.
The toilet and shower facilities were clean andin pretty good condition. Cost us £26 for 2 adults for 2 nights, rang up to book and paid over the phone, was given a pitch number and the barrier code over the phone so just had to turn up and pitch up.
All in all a pleasant site, not far from Brid, Filey or Flamborough and not too far from Scarborough,
I'd definitely stop here again.

I can’t understand the negative comments for this site.
Book in on the phone, reasonably priced, and you are given a code for the barrier and a pitch number.
The camping pitches are clearly marked, flat and spacious. There was even a picnic table at the end of ours (and a few of the others).
The toilets and showers were clean with hot water and hand sanitizer in the ladies.
It is one of the quietest sites (regarding noise) I’ve stayed.
The site is just out of the village of Flamborough by the side of a farm, there’s a nice walk round the edge of the fields into the village, and this is shorter than going by the road.
In Flamborough there is a small, though well stocked, co-op. We saw 3 pubs all within a short walk of each other. The Royal Dog and Duck does a lovely pint of Theakstons Old Peculiar, would recommend
A longer walk to Flamborough Head is well worth it. Many sea birds nest at the cliffs.
Bempton Cliffs RSPB site is only a few miles away.
If you enjoy peaceful, traditional campsites with clean facilities, I recommend this one

This is a very basic site with just one toilet block that wasn't heated. It was basically just a field with electric boxes in it. There is a security barrier with a electronic code needed to enter. As everything was prepaid over the phone, When we were also given the barrier code, we never actually saw the site owners.
The site is just out of the village by the side of a farm, there's a nice dog walk round the edge of the fields. Also if you carry on walking you end up in the village, which is shorter than going by the road, but in January it was very sludgy so we only went that way once(its not that much longer by the road)
The site is only lit from the road to the barrier so it gets very dark the further you are from the entrance so have a torch handy.
In Flamboro there is a small co-op which sells all you will need (but there are more as you go into Brid). There are 4 pubs all within a short walk of each other and all bar one were quite lively. There is also a very nice Kebab/pizza takeaway(I can recommend the Kofte kebab)

My hubby and I have just returned, after spending two nights at the Grange in Flamborough. After many years of staying at Thornwick bay, I was apprehensive about staying here. But,did we make the right choice? Lovely spacious pitches and very clean shower blocks. Lovely short cut through the field walkpath into the village took about ten minutes if that! First time camping for my hubby and we both loved it and will definitely will be returning. The pubs in the village good too.!
