We loved this site. It is a traditional campsite. We arrived on a Monday without pre-booking (which the owner prefers) but he kindly let us on. I thought it was cheap for 2 adults in a small tent with hook up -£15. We thought the pitch sizes were good, the ground was level, a little hard but with an airbed, it was fine! The toilet blocks were clean but would benefit from a soap dispenser! The dryers were next door with the showers and they were lovely - hot and powerful.
We enjoyed the short walk, approximately 1/2 mile into Flamborough where we enjoyed a delicious pub lunch at The Royal Dog and Duck but there are 3 or 4 other nice pubs. If we had been staying longer, we would have tried the walk to Flamborough Head. If you enjoy peaceful, traditional campsites with clean facilities, I recommend this one and we hope to return very soon :-)

What a disapointment, could have been so good with just a little effort
The position of this site on the edge of the village is the best thing going for it. We booked in on the phone and were asked to pay in full. We were then given a code for the barrier and a pitch number to take with us. On arriving on site the pitches are all clearly marked and we just pitched up with no staff in evidence. In fact we never saw anyone from the site over the weekend we were there.
The roads on the site are crushed stone and some of the stone sizes are very large making walking difficult and driving with a small trailer was not that nice. The caravan pitches looked OK but they are close together. The tent field surface is poor with rough sparse grass cover and lots of lumps and bumps. There are few electric connection points and my 25m cable only just made the connection from pitch 84 to the only point half way along the row.
The toilet block is particularly poor. There is a strong smell of urine (all weekend) in the gents and the tiles in the shower cubicles had staining on the floors. In each of these there is a push button type shower with a very wide spray pattern head that managed to reach the cubicle door. None of the showers is fitted with a curtain to separate wet from dry or with a shelf to hold your kit whilst showering. The external doors to both the ladies and gents washrooms opens directly from the washing up area and campers are treated to a full view of anyone using the sinks for a wash. My wife insists that they must have been designed by a man! There is no soap, hand driers or hot water available in the toilets so hygiene is not great unless you go prepared!
We also found ourselves pitched next to an all male group of four who woke us up on both nights. I understand that this may not have been the direct fault of the campsite but they took the booking (and checked with me how my party was made up so must have known) and they did not appear to undertake any checks on the site. Whilst going to ask this group to be quite I also found a drunk male asleep on the grass at the rear of my tent.
To summarise the site is well positioned but the lack of visable managment means that there is little or no control of what occurs on the site and the facilities are very poor. The pitch fees are not that cheap for what is provided and I would suggest looking elsewhere.
Never again for us.

Myself and partner and another other couple stayed on this site for 2 nights.
I would recommend this site to other people visiting.
We had good pitches, near to horse field. Toilet/shower block was all in walking distance.
The toilets and showers was in very good condition - they could have been cleaner (I do not blame the site owners for this I blame other visitors for not cleaning up after them selves). Me and a friend visited the toilets on a morning and they was clean and tidy but as they day went on and more people used them(and didn't clean up after them selves) the more untidy the place looked. There is no cleaning products left but I made sure I run the shower for a few seconds after I used it and rinsed any sink out after use and used tissue to wipe around the sink (if I could do this I don't see why other visitors couldn't!) There was sometimes toothpaste left in the sink and make up spilt around the sink areas! I just felt a little sorry for the owners as you could see they tried there best to keep up but with lazy visitors on a fully booked site it was getting an impossible task. I would recommend a dry place to get changed as the shower does wet all the shower room and I found it difficult to get changed into clean dry clothes.
We never had to wait long for a shower or to use the toilet and there was always running hot water.
We are definitely going to use this site again - I will be taking some cleaning wipes with me for the sinks!
I liked that the owners left you to it, could easily find our pitch and had no problems with our neighbours (maybe the sheep in the field behind us did get a little annoying when we was trying to sleep) We are young and lively and went out into Bridlington drinking but made sure we respected other campers and kept noise down. We did stay on site the first night and had a BBQ which was fun.
The owners was really helpful when we asked them for taxi numbers, I think he was a little worried when he seen us arriving with us being young but we respected the sites respect your neighbours policy and loved that we could go to sleep and have a lie in without lots of noise.
We do not have children but we did take a football and played cricket close to our tents so I am sure children could amuse them selves if they camped near the horse field. We never went to any other area of the site so couldn't comment on these areas for children.

Flat pitches, but very poor grass. The roads are made out of very large lumps of crushed lime stone, making it extremely difficult to walk on.
The toilets didn't seem to be cleaned very often at all. The ladies was of poor cleanliness but the mens smell was revolting!
The noise some evenings was annoying, especially at 1-2am. For once it was caused by older people on the site not young people like ourselves that usually get the blame! It was like being in a working mens club!
Such a waste of something that could be made so nice.

Just returned from a couple of nights. Nice site with good secure check-in service. The emphasis seems to be on caravans with some late night odd karaoke from vanners coming from the clubhouse! Not much for children but luckily some campers left after our first night which did create some space on the field to kick a ball about without fear of annoying anyone. New hot showers are spotless and free - we never had to queue once. Great base from which to explore Bridlington, Scarborough and Filey.

A Great Site, very welcoming owner, very helpful, site was our first time 'vanning for over 2 years and used it as a practice for our bigger hols. Everything was a dream, clean shower/toilet blocks, plenty hot water, wash-up area and chemical disposal points were kept spotless always, rained heavy one night but ground was still usable next day so well drained too. Very well set out site with some separation using trees/bushes. Would probably benefit from some sort of play area as the kids struggle to keep themselves occupied at times, no gripes at all just BIG recommendation for the site & its owners. We will definitely return as its within 30mins of home !

The owner was very friendly, and the site spacious and uncrowded when we went, even though it was a weekend. We were very helpfully told (as we have a 3-year-old) that there were some big groups in the far field and that we could pitch wherever we liked in the big field. This was a great help!
The facilities are very clean, and showers hot, powerful and free. Children have to amuse themselves, or each other, as there is no playground and everything is a drive away - cliffs, beaches. Even the village is a fair walk away, for kids. Mind you, if you want somewhere with lots going on, head for the bright lights of Thornwick Bay!
We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay here and would come back.

Great campsite owner was really nice chap with lots of cats, camping ground was nice and even. Next to a field with lots of horses, was very near the showers which were immaculate all of the time. Going back again in a couple of weeks enjoyed it so much. It was a bit far to walk to Brid and flamborough but a quick enough drive. I think maybe there trying to angle towards a more family oriented place as they turned away a few groups before us even though they weren't full.

Nice quiet location, close enough to Bridlington and Flamboro'. Mostly dedicated to caravans but with some space for tents.
The facilities seem as new as other people have commented, however, when the site is busy (or with bad weather) they can get messy pretty soon and you might have to queue.
The campsite is level enough and not very bumpy, hence, it is convenient for groups. However, if you are looking for a separate family area, where you can go and be at peace with the small ones, this might not be the best place (largely due to noisy neighbours).
A plus point is that they allow dogs (which no other site in the area do) and there is a small track to take the pet for a walk in the morning / evening.
Good campsite for adults in tents and caravans, not so much for small children.

I last stayed here in 2007 and cannot believe the improvements to this site having just been back in May 2009
The new toilet and shower facilities are superb nice and clean, hot Water plentiful all day ! washing up stations are spacious and sheltered. The new owners are very welcoming and accomodating I'm not sure how many children they have but there seemed to be quite a few and the ones I spoke to were both helpful and polite the price for a Trailer tent with 2 adults and Electric hook-up was £12 per night this I feel was very reasonable with the added new facilities. A great little spot for nipping into Filey & Brid. Good little co op down the road in Flamborough with cashpoint, All in all great little site and the week we stayed luckily was red hot however I think this was more good luck than judgement.
IMPROVEMENTS:
Needs something for the kids now the big field is split for caravans as they used to play in the middle and the hardcore near the toilets/shower block needs compacting or surfacing
Other than that great place nice people will definitely stay here again
