We have been to this Caravan site several times in the last couple of years, which speaks for itself ! Sue and Kelly the wardens do a great job keeping it clean and tidy, they are very friendly and helpful. Although I use my own facilities in the caravan I have been to the toilet and shower block and it is lovely and clean. Lovely and peaceful. They welcome dogs, although must be kept on a lead for obvious reasons! There is a play area for children.
We have just taken on a seasonal pitch here because we like it so much!

Just returned from another 6 day visit to this excellent site.
This was a last minute decision to book for a short break. Phoned Two hours before leaving home to check availability and was told by Sandra to turn up and a pitch would be sorted for us. On arrival we received a friendly greeting from Sandra and the site wardens and allocated our pitch. The pitch was large and level overlooking the main lake. Enjoyed a couple of days fishing on the well kept lakes during our stay. The site is clean and tidy, the toilets and showers are spotless a credit to Sandra and her team. Visited Arbuckles diner on Sunday evening for a meal (only 5 min drive from the site) good food and excellent service. Will certainly return to this site in fact booked for Easter 2016 before we left. Thanks to Sandra and the site wardens for making this a great stay.

Stayed for another week at this delightful site for a second time this year. We will be back again in October. It makes a change to be made welcome. The toilet block is clean and the water is hot. The shop has all the basics and if you need more Sandra is more than willing to get them. I think that we are a bit old for the play area but it looked alright. The town of Downham Market is a short drive away and has all the usual places.

We stayed here having come across it when working at a nearby windmill. We usually use Caravan Club sites so were interested to try somewhere new. What a pleasant surprise! A lovely site and incredibly helpful warden. We were given the most beautiful pitch looking out onto a fishing lake which was perfect for our two night stay. We didn't use the washroom facilities but they looked very nice. Due to work we were slightly late arriving but nevertheless received a very warm welcome from Sue. We were sorry that work also meant we had to limit or stay to the two nights so we will most definitely return later this year.

Been away for about six weeks and our last port of call was our favourite and our dogs when we arrive the lady who was in the shop treated us as if we have been friends for years so it make you feel so welcome. We have stayed in other campsites not to far from here but not enjoyed them as we do this one.
We don't really go off site we just relax that's what we call a great end to our holiday. As usual everywhere was clean and litter free the wardens come round and check to see if everything is alright,
Even if they are on days off they will help you if they can and they are always there if you need anything.
We will return later in the year hopefully great work lovely lakeside

We camped here in early August and the positives are a lovely flat well mown site for our tent; away from noisy roads; good showers; and a nice area to tour.
Negatives are you have to pay for everything - showers, electricity etc; long bumpy driveway in; noise rules not enforced (still noisy at 2am on a Saturday); kids playing ball by the tents; rubbish/recycling bins overflowing.
Don't think we will stay here again.

We where for the first time in this part of the country and we found this site by UKCampsite.co.uk . What a lovely place to stay! Super clean toilet blocks and showers at any time. Nice and friendly staff. Beautiful pitches with much place. We can recommend this campsite to everyone. We planned two days to stay, it became four!

This was my first visit to Lakeside, and certainly will not be my last. A lovely site, with woodland surrounding it, and fishing lakes. The showers and toilets were spotlessly clean, and there was also a washing machine and tumble dryer. It is very close to the shops in Downham Market, and there is also a small shop, and a pub in the village. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a small shop on site, and newspapers are available on request

Having been to this site before and liked it we returned this Easter for a break and I have to say it was even better than before the toilets and showers were spotlessly clean and regularly checked, the washing up and laundry area facilities have been updated. The shop was fully stocked with lots of goodies should you need anything, and the wardens were extremely helpful in showing us our pitch and getting us settled in ie TV signal and wifi. We like the fact that there are lots of pitches with lake views to soak up the scenery and the site feels safe and secure away from traffic which is reassuring if you have children like we do who like to make the most of the very well equipped children's play area. Lovely site to just chill and relax and get away from it all and also lots to do in the area should you choose. Will be returning soon.

Back again and what a change for the better it was great before but now with the lakes made bigger the facility block now has two washing up sinks and a lot larger and in a couple of weeks new washing machine and dryer the grass is so manicured and no mess as all cuttings are collected unlike some places I have stayed at. The wardens can not do enough for you even if it there days off they are checking the facilities to make sure everything is clean, if you need electric cards they are always willing to get them, ditto if any problems they are willing to help. Also the children's play area has been extended. What a really friendly place I will be back again shortly to see what has happened can't wait well done lakeside.
