The welcome on arrival was so friendly and we were guided to our pitch by the owner. The shower block was spotlessly clean and never too busy.
The owner was very helpful: I mislaid my watch at one point and she went out of her way to check back with me later to ensure I had found it (I had).
As we have a large tent, we were pitched near the electric hook up caravans and campers. Pitches were level and grassy and very roomy. We had breakfast at the site tea shop and it was excellent.
Definitely recommended!
The only issue for us was the noisy road - the traffic was busy overnight and we had to wear earplugs. I suspect that pitches further from the road would be much quieter.

Well maintained campsite with very clean toilet facilities.
Surprised that card payments are not accepted for the site fees and disappointed that the pub was not open.
Would definitely visit again but concerned that the site seems to have only a small number of electric hook up points.

The pitch we were put on was uneven with a drain in the middle.
The public house that is advertised on the website has not been open since 2019 and the hot water taps in the washing up area were not working.
Overall I thought website description was very misleading. 😞😞

Really unique place. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Facilities were clean and we'll maintained. The pitches were very spacious and comfortable with enough privacy.
One downside is the playground was shut. Its part of the pub so understandably it can't open without the pub but it left there not much for kids to do. There is however, loads of open space for kids to play if you take equipment.
The great thing about this site is the unique old style shopping mall. Locally sourced fresh goods and hot food at great prices. It's unlike anything we've ever seen before at a campsite.
Really nice place. We'll definitely be returning.

Due to Covid had our Majorca holiday cancelled at short notice! So’s not to disappoint the family managed to get a couple of nights at Spital farm campsite.
Ideally situated for North Yorkshire coast. Weather was great and we all had a great couple of nights.
Would recommend although road noise quite loud.
