Lovely site, exactly what we were looking for.
The facilities were basic but clean.
Liked the little shopping village but could've had more shops available.
Cafe served lovely coffee but wasn't always open.
Overall we would return here as was a great base for visiting Scarborough & York & all in between.
We had a lovely holiday.

Lovely and friendly hosts and warden. Site is very clean, toilets etc.
Large field for camping but it is very exposed so be aware of wind when pitching your tent.
Value for money yes not bad £18 a night for the 4 of us.
The site has a attached building which inside is dated but equally beautiful, wouldn't change the idea of it or the decoration at all.
Only thing is the pub/restaurant has been closed for the past 5 years and there's not really anywhere to get food etc on the site from the afternoon onwards.
The sites right next to the a64 and therefore very noisy I would consider placing trees along the road border to drown out some noise.

Had a lovely stay at spital farm caravan site.
I found the owners very warm and helpful.
The facilities were kept very keen and the pitches were level with plenty of space.
Water and waste area is very close to your pitch.
It's a great place for visiting nearby Scarborough filey and bridlington.
As it's next to the main road it is a bit noisy till around 9pm and the crows are a bit annoying at certain times,
Overall a lovely relaxing stay.

Friendly owners and warden. £20 per night with full facilities on a Bank holiday weekend is extremely reasonable.
Although not my reason for booking this site, it is advertised as Pub on site, but it is closed and has been for some time, next nearest pub is 1. 5 miles away good 30 minute walk. I think the facilities details should be updated or owners should make you aware when booking.
Good level pitches with EHU and well drained ground. Toilets although a little dated are extremely clean and well heated, good showers with plenty of hot water, could do with an extractor in cubicle to clear the steam.
Fuel filling station with small Co op store and a Fish & Chip restaurant/takeaway next door, across the road. Morrisons super store 2 miles down the road.
Easy access to Scarborough and Filey both approx. 6 miles away.
Site is located at the A64 at a roundabout so traffic although busy, it is slow, I didn't find it intrusive or disturb my sleep.
Would stay here again if visiting this area.

The site is big with a large field for motorhomes and tents with nice views but what spoils it is it being on the corner of a major busy road.
The traffic is consistent throughout the day and night and it's noisy, this isn't a quiet relaxing campsite!
The toilets and showers are fine, clean and weren't busy but they're not modern. The showers lacked power and are luke warm.
The staff are friendly but I wouldn't recommend staying here for long periods and if you are in a tent with the noise.

Very good location for driving to the east coast beach’s and towns from as little as14 miles away.
The site is rundown and In need of updating and repairs, toilets/shower has no heating in them, one at the entrance which wouldn’t have heated the toilets, too cold to shower. On emptying the porter-toilet in a sloosh hole with only an hose pipe it got block and wouldn’t drain away.
There must be hundreds of rabbits and moles, needed to be very careful when walking as not to fall in a hole or sink into runs, no good for dogs who like to chase rabbits.
£28 a night in January for me and my dog!

Lovely clean facilities, lots of space in the camping fields,
Quiet despite being near the busy road.
Very friendly staff.
A short drive to seaside resorts.
Didn't bother us but looked as if the children's play park was closed off but lots of space to play in the fields.

A nice open campsite. Good clean toilets and showers.
Friendly wardens.
Bus passes nearby.
Convenient for trips into Scarborough.
We found the Park and Ride best for our motorhome.

Lovely welcome from the owners. Shower and toilet block lovely and always clean. Showers aren't very powerful and are push button.
Site was very empty to say it was bank holiday, two tents and 4 caravans.
Children (aged 14, 14 & 9) loved the on site bakery and sweet shop. Rabbit borrows gave them something to explore and plenty of space for them to play games. Play area was closed as is linked to the bar which is also closed awaiting new owners. Their is an on site cafe, food is basic but nice.
Bit of noise from the main road surrounding the site.
Nice dog walk across the main road which also leads you to a static holiday park, on site bar with table tennis, play area and pool table.
