Visited August Bank Holiday Weekend. It says 30 pitches, not true. There must have been well over 100 pitches being used while we were there. There is a Caravan and Camping members field with EHU's which I think has 30 pitches and another large field which could probably accommodate 100 to 150. There is one pot washing sink on site and I always had to queue. There was three showers and three wc's in both gents and ladies, not enough hot water for the amount of people on site. The pub was nice but very quiet the two nights we visited, we didn't eat at the restaurant. Facilities were clean and tidy. Bus stop outside site to Scarborough or York, Morrison's 1 mile down the road, Excellent chippie (Harpers) opposite site.

We have just come back from spending four nights at Spital farm, this was our second stay as we stayed in a tent in 2011, we liked it so much then that it was only natural that when visiting the East Coast again, with our touring caravan, we would stay again and we weren't disappointed. We received a warm welcome from the owners who greeted us on our arrival. The 2 camping fields, ball games are allowed on the
Largest field allowing for great, healthy, free family fun, are large with spacious pitches and easy access to electric hook up (The electricity was of a high enough amp to allow us to use our TV without tripping and had an excellent signal to pick up all channels ), water, bins, elsan disposal points etc. The toilets were fresh and very clean with continuous hot water, there is also a brand new modern shower block which has just been opened for 2013.
Also on the site is a lovely traditional tea room that is very popular with people from the surrounding area. Just across the road is a petrol station that sells most essentials and an award winning fish and chip restaurant next to that.
The site is conveniently located for access to all the coastal towns of Scarborough, Bridlington and Filey with the coastliner buses running regularly from the sites gates. There are also local nearby attractions of play dale farm for the young and Bempton cliffs for stunning views and a huge array of wildlife.
The owners have been working very hard to extend and improve the site for 2013 and the grand opening of the family friendly pub on site serving carvery and having a little beer garden, with play area, will be the icing on cake making this probably the best value for money campsite on the coast.
We are about to book again for the next school holiday's before they are fully booked.

We have just come home from having the Easter holiday at this site.
What a great site. The toilets and showers are nice and clean. Good size pitches.
The owners are really nice and give you a warm welcome.
They have done a lot to the site and showed us what they are doing which looks really great.
I now want to go back in a few months to see it!.
This is in a great touring location on the a64.
I would go to this site again.
Very good value for little money (you won't be ripped off).

Booked in here to try out our new motorhome [well it's new to us] We only intended staying one night but our granchildren much preferred it to our flat in Filey so we ended up staying three nights. They enjoyed making new friends, playing games, and riding their bikes round the large field playing area.
The motorhome is self contained but we did use the site facilities and found them warm and comfortable and the kids preferred them to the van.
The owners were friendly and welcoming. We have previously stayed on a site in Hunmanby which they owned at the time and that too was very good.
There is a garage shop across the road and a large supermarket and Macdonalds just down the A64 towards Scarborough.
All in all it's a very good base to explore this part of North Yorkshire both coast and rural villages/market towns

We have just come back from this site and overall was nice, could do with more wash facilities, which they are in the process of doing but the showers and toilets were lovely, very warm and clean. The people are lovely too.
They should advertise more about the tea room as we didn't know it was there till we were leaving and would of loved to of gone in.
But we will be returning next year. Thank you for a lovely weekend.

We have just come back from this site today after a weekend here with friends, it was our first camping trip since we had our son who is 2,
We found the site great for what we wanted which was being close to Scarborough and Filey,
The site was quiet and clean.
We arrived and it was windy so were moved into the members only section which was more sheltered which I thought was ideal,
The shower blocks were warm and clean, they are building a new block ready for next year but we didn't have a problem with waiting for toilets or the showers, the blocks were nicely tiled and were getting cleaned on a regular basis.
Overall lovely campsite and everything what we expected from it,
The owners very nice and helpful,
Would definitely recommend and will be returning in future.

We have just returned after spending a full week here. Ideal location for Brid, Scarborough, Whitby, Filey.
This site is a clean, tidy and well maintained, friendly site. Toilet and showers were always clean. Plenty of hot water for showers and pot washing. On the whole this is a great site and would reccommend to anybody who was looking for a quite, relaxing and friendly place to stay, with some lovely views.
We look forward to returning.

Arrived at Spital Farm with no booking. Was greeted by the owner. Very friendly and helpful. Showed us all the facilities and to the field where we could pitch up.
Toilet and showers good. However at the moment there is only one shower in each of the mens and ladies block. This however will change next year as the owner pointed out they are in the course of constructing a new shower and toilet block for season 2013. Looks Great!
We pitched up next to a field with cows in which was great to watch.
There is a little traffic noise as it is positioned just off a round about, however not enough to disturb our family.
Location is fantastic and only 6 miles to Cayton bay and ideal for travelling to various seaside resorts.
We would definitely stay again. Well done Spital Farm x

I have just spent the last two week ends at this site and thoroughly enjoyed both visits. The site is immaculately kept. The camping field is well drained, level and regularly cut. The the toilet, showered and washing up areas are regularly attended and spotless.
The owners are friendly, welcoming and cannot do enough to help ensure a pleasant stay. I have to say a big thank you for the lift into Scarborough when I missed the bus!
The reception area has plenty of local information for visitors new to the area.
There is a supermarket, petrol station and a pub all within a very short distance as well as the attractions of Scarborough and surrounding area.
Other reviewers have mentioned road noise from the nearby A64. Although I could hear it, I can't say that it was a problem, for me this is an ideal 'get away from it all' site and will certainly be back.

Myself my partner and my two grandchildren, went on the 2nd august/5th august 2012. The campsite is quiet, has good facilities, the lady who runs the farm is lovely, pleasant and helpful. This is our second visit to the site, I have recommended it to my son, he and is wife went for a couple of days, we will be going again next year. The site offered us both hookup or non hookup, toilets were clean, shower is good. Hopefully next time we go they will have another shower and extra toilets.
The farm is near to Scarborough, Filey, Bridlington, Whitby. The farm did not have any pubs or shops, they have a cafe and a Christmas village. There is a garage across the road. Fust down the road heading towards Scarborough there is a Morrisons, Mcdonalds and a nice pub/restaurant. They do not have a playground but they had a big field were games could be played away from the tents and caravans. They also give you leaflets for takeaway food and you can have it delivered to the site. The experience we had was lovely and we cant wait to do it all again next year.
