We have been here loads but take a loo if you have kids as toilet block not big for size of site and only one family at a time
We did ask to be put next to our family but was in same field so was not a problem for us as no children with us
Alan can be a bit grumpy but he's lovely really
Bit disappointed the pub restaurants shut but still enjoyed our stay. would recommend

We chose this site mainly because they were one of the few who could accommodate us at short notice.
Our overall impression was it was clean, & the owners friendly. I had checked the price over the telephone first, so we were not too shocked at the price of £28 per night for a 4 berth tent without EHU, but this is the most we’ve ever paid.
It’s difficult to write a balanced review as the site maybe different without Covid restrictions, so we didn’t get to experience the site at it’s full potential. The pub was closed (which wasn’t an issue for us at all), however this did mean the indoor & outdoor play areas were inaccessible.
The tea room was open, & I believe the bakery was also, but not at the times we passed. We arrived on a Thursday & we were lucky with our choice of pitch. A previous review commented on the smell of cows in the tent - this field was directly behind us & we did not notice a smell, & enjoyed being close to the animals - we were camping!
Regarding the toilets the ladies was especially nice, & they were cleaned regularly. The shower we used 3 times was always warm. The main issue with our stay however was that understandably it was only one family unit in the block at a time, but this meant one person using a toilet took up 3 toilets & 3 showers, & vice versa a whole family showering would stop one person using the toilet.
The ladies & gents were made unisex to try & combat this, but by the end of Friday afternoon the site was considerably busier & this got out of hand. It is difficult for the owners as their business will have suffered due to Covid, & we don’t resent the place being busy for them, but we honestly feel they shouldn’t let so many people book in while these restrictions are in place.
Our suggestion would be one block for shower use& one block for toilet use. This has also skewed our perception of whether it was worth the rate, as not all of the facilities were fully accessible. Having said this we info also feel that it is overpriced with or without restrictions.
That aside we enjoyed our stay. It is next to an A Road but this should not reflect on the site. Supermarkets & beaches are within a short drive, & there is a garage & Fish & Chip restaurant opposite.

We've just come back from a 3 night camping trip. As far as campsites go. This is lovely. Great amenities. Friendly owners and staff.
Had outstanding views and was a great base for Scarborough Bridlington and Filey for day trips. There's also a macdonalds and a Morrisons an easy 5 minute drive away.
Site has a tea room which serves a full English breakfast at a very reasonable price and also has a sweet shop and bakery that we're open.
It's located next to a busy A road which if you're a light sleeper might be a problem.

The owners of this site deserve a medal for being the most helpful couple to run a site.
They went out of their way to sort some electric for our pitch even though we were there for only one night.
We have used the site in the past and will use it in the future.
Very clean thanks

This is a site l will be going back to many more times. The owners, the catering staff, even the gardener are so friendly.
The homemade pies and buns are to die for.
The location is spot on

Hooked up here for NYE whilst surfing at Scarborough for New Years Eve and New Years Day. Really nice site.
Very clean/warm toilets and shower block. Hot showers included.
Lovely lady came and showed us to our pitch in the dark.
They are open all year which means we will be back soon and would happily use in summer as well.

The owners of this site were amazing. They couldn't do enough for us.
The site is really well run, clean and well organised.
It is small and friendly and is within easy reach of Filey, Bridlington, Scarborough, Beverley and Whitby.
The site also has a very friendly pub on site which serves excellent food and has a snug where children are allowed.
The added bonus to this site is the amazing Victorian arcade of shops where you can walk round and buy fresh bread, Chutneys, jams, pies and cakes that have been freshly made.
I would highly recommend this site and will returning in the near future.
