Pleasant site with all the facilities you need for a short stay like ours.
The showers are undergoing upgrades at the moment so will be even better next season. Lots of electric
Hookups and fresh water points
Very close to the Dog and Shepard pub who serve excellent food. There is a cafe on site as well which we didn't have time to visit
Everyone on site was very friendly and helpful
We will definitely be back sometime next year

Good location, toilets and showers undergoing refurbishment which is a must!
Shame that they have stopped night fishing.
Overall a pleasant site and would return.

Amazing quiet long weekend away! The views are idyllic! Nice friendly and clean site!
Only one toilet and shower each side but clean and does the job!
Lovely cafe on site and pub across the road.
Enjoyed fishing by the lake too!

Very pleasant welcome. Site in good condition and was a picture.
Facilities WC etc are fine and clean.
Near to a really good cafe which is on site and has pub over the road that does reasonably priced takeaways!

Excellent site but disappointed with the cost of the fishing.
Also did not see many fish being caught.

A pleasant site with lush green grass beside an idyllic lake, there is a cafe on site (closed Monday and Tuesday) and a lovely thatched country pub opposite.
But beware this site is cash only with no receipts, no reception or shop. The verbally agreed price on telephone booking was £20 per night but two days before arrival an email came saying it was £25 per night, too late to book anywhere else.
There is fishing but I was charged £10 for a 2 hour evening session. (Lake closed at 7pm)
There is no security at all, the site is open to the public 24hrs.
The toilet and washing facilities although reasonably clean are wholly inadequate with just one wc each side.
We had a lovely welcome from Pat the owner, can’t say the same for the chap who patrols the lake who was abrupt and inflexible.
Would we return? no.

What a treat, beautiful views over the lake and the site is very well looked after,
The grounds are clean and tidy,
Owners very friendly and helpful, very patient too, we didn’t note the vacating time and overstayed by a few hours but they were very good about it and explained the terms in a kind manner,
There is a cafe on site that’s does amazing food and breakfasts,
I would highly recommend staying there if you are ever in Suffolk, you will be pleasantly surprised

Really liked this site - situated in a quiet country lane but really handy for Stowmarket which has several large supermarkets if you need to stock up, leisure centre etc.
Set in pretty countryside and there seem to be plenty of footpaths around although the weather was too wet for me to do much exploring on foot!
Hardstandings (coarse pebbles) and grass pitches overlooking the fishing lake, nice and level. EHU, water and elsan all very handy and toilet/shower block which we didn't use.
Very nice cafe on site, we just had coffees but admired some delicious-looking eggs benedict being served! Outdoor seating and a play area at the cafe so good for families; would need to keep an eye on little ones as the lake is close to pitches and cafe.
Lovely pub across the road which does good food - sadly due to COVID we just had a take away this time, but has a beer garden etc.
We will doubtless be back!
We paid £20pn inc EHU which I think is fair; you need cash as the don't take cards.
