Our third stay. Live it here. It's quiet, very clean and friendly without lots of silly rules.
Charlie is always helpful and runs a super site.
An excellent base for the coast. Lots to do or just enjoy the site.

Rectory Hill was my first venture into camping so I didn’t really know what expect and have no other point of reference, but this site was perfect.
I was on my own, in a one man tent and it couldn’t have gone better.
The site was a quiet peaceful setting, and the shower toilet facilities were first class. ,
And I will be going back.

What a location. And that’s all I can say. After staying 1 night out of three. Tent pitches are sandy, muddy plots. We had severe weather admittedly. But 7”rock pegs wouldn’t stay. It seems Motorhome. Caravan’s have the good pitches even though it’s all the same price. 1 toilet. 2 showers. Not good enough.
To say this is a camping club affiliated site is a joke. They need to go and inspect the place. Don’t go. Don’t pay them the money. The owner is rude and didn’t give a dam. High winds rain there usually out checking if everyone is ok. Never saw him didn’t even ask why three party’s left that day. The place is up for sale. So perhaps that’s the reason.
They need to spend some money on the pitches. It could be such a beautiful site.

Owner is very hands on, rides around couple times a day on his bike to make sure everyone is ok.
Facilities ideal and clean although we used them very little owing to Covid, we had our own toilet. Social distancing clearly marked out and plenty of hand sanitiser available.
Nice view over fields from our pitch. Beautiful sunsets in the evenings.

The location is great and there's lots to explore in the surrounding area. I thought it was good value for money.
My main disappointment was the lukewarm shower! I'd been looking forward to a hot shower after a day of walking in the rain but it was not to be.

Charlie was welcoming and attentive but respectful during our stay. Amenities avaliable were extremely clean and easily accessed.
Campsite was small and quiet and within walking distance to the local beach other beaches a short car drive away.
Would definitely book again.
