Stayed for a long weekend. We found the toilet block to always be clean and all in good working order. For £2.00 you could also have a bath. There were three pot wash sinks with lots of hot water available. There was a small play area for children which the little ones loved and it was in the centre of the site so you could see it easily from your tent. A clean and tidy site in a very good location for exploring the Downs or coastline.

The owners were not overly friendly but as they are under threat to loose the campsite to house developers perhaps they don't have a lot to be cheerful about.

Nice clean shower block and a bath available too. Washing up area is outside and not under cover but is very clean and plenty of hot water.

Childrens play area is very basic and in need of updating, having said that my children 9 and 3 had a fab time and spent all their time playing with the other children on the swings. There is a large fenced area for ball games. Site is good for mums with plenty of pitches in view of play area to keep an eye on them !

Owners were not over friendly but didn't cause too much of a problem.

We always go this campsite all the time, sometime twice or three times a year. First time we went there about 8 years ago when we are younger couples then went there regular. The couple who own the campsite were very friendly and know us very well.

The campsite was just similar and great to have playground for kids. Now we have children and love go there. You need bring bicycle that you will have great time to ride bicycle to the beach.

The beach was beautiful at Littlehampton then ride bicycle to Worthing. It was lovely ride and relax. The campsite has toilet and shower, very clean and good hot water.

We were a group of six families all with tents and 1 caravan. It was very quiet when we were there so it felt almost as though we had the place to ourselves.

It was super to pitch anywhere we wanted so chose to have a circle (although some pitches were marked out, there was some confusion over electric hook-up and the caravan was in a separate section).

We enjoyed the site - play facilities for kids great. Particularly liked the enclosed area for ball games.

Have to agree with previous comments regarding the attitude of the owners. We had barely got our communal gazebo up before the chap was over like a whippet to demand money. We had no problem paying, it was just the attitude. Similar experience the lady over keys and gates. Similarly when cleaning time came at 11am, she was somewhat terse.

The biggest pain was having to remember to take the key (deposit of £10, refunded on keys return). Real pain with the kids.

A couple of families went down to the beach large and sandy. Shell garage very close by for essentials and ice cream!

Overall a good time was had by all but as there were so few other people there to disturb (not that we were up very late) we would have had a great time between us regardless.

Spent a bank holiday weekend there last year (to test our new tent) its a nice little campsite, nice grass and level. The managers there are not the most welcoming, on the sunday night (at approx 7pm)i was told I could not have the key to the family bathroom because `we want to have the evening off` they only had to pass me the key. I am not sure they are in the right job.

Bank holiday weekend, you run a campsite and you want the evening off??

There is no shop to speak of just some penny sweets and the odd bottle of shampoo.

Littlehampton is very close buy which is a lovely little town and harbour!

So:-

Nice level grass

Can have a bath! which is a real treat when your camping (if you can get the key)

Littlehampton close buy

But:-

Managers unhappy/ unfriendly

No shop

Just got back from a weekend at the site.

My wife and I found the staff nice and friendly and willing to help with local knowledge.

The site is nice and tidy, nice clean showers.

If I had to say a bad point it would have to be about some of the the campers and not the site, there was a large group of people there with their kids(and I must say I didn't know who was the parents with the kids swearing and cursing) and were playing nearly all day, not quiet playing loud playing with their noise getting on my nerves.A great deal of lack of respect for others campers.

So apart from that its a lovely little site well worth staying.

First visit to this site. Facilities good. Toilet/shower block clean, cleaned daily at 11am.

Central playground, great for our kids. Pitches all around so could easily keep an eye on them.

Separate fenced in space for ball games, although wasn't used much. Certain residents decided to play ball games by their tents which defeated the object slightly!

Small shop, not much there except leaflets on attractions and sweets for the kids.

Owner helpful in terms of attractions to visit and discounts available.

It would appear that young groups of single or mixed sex are accepted on site which was of concern.

Near to A27 so road noise at night took some getting used to.

Well situated but on balance wouldn't return.

 Second visit this year

Love the site

However I can understand some other reviews comments about rude staff.

This is not a problem to me but I can see it upset others.

Other notes/points

1/Please can you get hand driers instead of that bit of towel that gets changed once every so many hours (hands are generally wetter than when you went to dry them after washing.

2/if owners do not want to be disturbed after 11 oclock please do not charge £10 returnable deposit if you are slightly late packing tents up as clients will hold onto key until last minute to use loo.

And for the same reason please unlock the high gate so vehicles over 6 foot 6 inches can leave without disturbing owners.

We have just returned from a lovely week at Daisy Fields.

We couldn't find fault in the site at all.

The owners Les & Jean were very friendly and helpful with good knowledge of the local area.

Our caravan pitch was in a great spot and was very spacious, from our pitch we could also see the children when they went to the playground.

The toilet/shower block was a short walk and was always nice and clean with constant hot water.

In all a great holiday enjoyed by the whole family, We are looking forward to going back next summer.

The important things to me and my family are

1. Clean and adequate washroom/washing up facilities
2. Ice pack freezing facilities.
3. Suitability of pitching area
4. Local attractions and facilities

Daisyfields comes up trumps on all four counts. This is a long review so stop now if you get bored easily.

1. The toilet and shower block is superb. The ladies side has 6 toilet cubicles and from memory 4 sinks. Also 3 showers. No reason to believe that the male half was any different. The showers are brilliant. Doors not curtains, fully tiled floors with a dressing area at the front and two shelves and two hooks in each one. Kept immaculate. Water gloriously hot and plentiful. Went on a weekend in the summer holidays and never once queued for a shower. Yes it is a wooden cabin but surely the outer construction is not important. It is how a building is furnished and decorated that is important.
The walls around the sinks are lined with white plastic boarding to make them bright and easy to clean and the roof is a plastic corrugated construction which gives the building a light and airy feel. The owners shut the block at 11am for cleaning.
I know that this is an inconvenience sometimes, we just made sure that we all visited the loo just before it shut each day. At least it means that the block has a good thorough clean every day. The key facility ensures that the block cannot be entered by any outsiders so there is no risk of vandalism.
They have a separate bathroom with toilet which is good for the really small children. Its a shame that they have to charge £2 for half an hours use of the bathroom. If the time and water usage in the showers is not restricted then cant see why they have to limit and charge for the use of a bath for the younger children. Having said that, as I said before its what is important to an individual family that matters and as I have older children who can shower, we didn't need to use the bathroom so this would not put us off going there.

Daisyfields has three large washing up sinks with extremely hot water which makes for good washing up. Be careful if sending the children to do the washing up as they could find the water too hot. Shame that some people do not see the need to wipe down the area after use and then also leave remnants of food in the plug hole and around the tap area. Wonder if they leave their sinks like this at home??

2. We don't use electric hook-up so rely on coolboxes and ice packs to keep food safe. Daisyfields will freeze standard size ice packs for you for 20p a time which I think is a perfectly reasonable sum. Just make sure you take your own packs as they do not supply them. Good idea to have two sets so you can have one lot freezing whilst using the others. Office opens between 9 and 11 to pick up frozen ones each day and then opens again later (think its 4pm to 6pm)

3. What I love about Daisyfields is that if you don't want an electric hook-up, you can choose to pitch anywhere in the area inside the circular road. Pitches are not marked out- just go where you please. We were alongside the fence of the closed in ball games area which allowed us an uninterrupted view of the children's play area. This was great as our friends have small children and we could see them at all times from the tent so did not have to accompany them to the swings every time.
The whole campsite is nice and level and drainage is good. The owners cut the grass regularly so its not too wet under foot if you have to make a night time visit to the loos!.

4. Littlehampton centre is about a 35 minute walk through the adjacent housing estate and then into the back of the town. Alternatively, down the main road opposite the Body shop. The latter route brings you out along the seafront near to the 'rock shaped' tea rooms.
The Harbour Park children's fun area is good for the little ones and you can buy as many or as few tokens as you like. Buying a book of 'tickets' makes the rides work out a bit cheaper but it costs £15 which may be more than people want to spend. Easy access to towns such as Chichester, Brighton and Arundel and many local attractions such as Amberley.

As far as Food Shopping goes, we used the Tesco which was between 5 and 10 mins drive away and a very large one too so stocked everything we needed.

Finally I must address the issue surrounding the owners of the site. 'Mrs' is certainly not the friendliest person in the world which is a shame as she works in the hospitality industry so should be more approachable. 'Mr' seemed a bit more approachable and often stopped for a chat whilst doing his rounds.
