My family and I stayed at this site from the August bank holiday Sunday until the Thursday. It was packed when we turned up but emptied considerably on the Monday as you would expect. It was our 1st family camping trip and we loved it, my son is 5 and he ran around making friends and playing the whole time .The field is surrounded by trees and seemed secure, there is a fenced in area for ball games and a play area in the centre of the camping field. There are no marked out pitches so you choose where you want. You can pitch near the play area if you’re in a tent (the caravans park up around the periphery), which we did and it was quiet when the light faded at about 9.30ish. The toilet and shower blocks were cleaned every day at 11am, the showers were hot and there are shaver points for the gents and hairdryers for the ladies. My wife was a bit dubious about using shared showers but she found them OK. The gents did run out of toilet roll on the Tuesday morning though so glad I took one with me.
There is a small shop on site that sells a few bits, we used the local shops in Wick which are 2 roads away and only 2 minutes in a car. There are a couple of pizza places, a Thai restaurant, a curry house, a supermarket and an off license with bags of ice. Also within easy reach is Arundel castle (a bit pricey) and Fishbourne Roman Palace which were both within a 30 minute drive. Littlehampton beach and fare rides are only 10 minutes away, the rides and the adventure golf shut at 7pm when we were there but the amusement arcades stayed open.
Previous reviews have said the owners were a bit abrupt and I can see where they’re coming from, though saying that I had a chat with the owner when I left and he seemed friendly enough. Struck me as the sought of guy who wouldn’t take any messing when it comes to drunken parties or people coming back being noisy, and for a family site that’s fair enough, we sat up until gone 11 with a few beers and quiet radio and weren’t bothered by anyone, so not over strict.
Overall we had a great time, just hope our future trips are as good!

Review on behalf of the BOOMERANG COUNTRY BAND, on tour in the South, this is our third visit to this excellent site. Good facilities, clean toilets and showers. Very friendly owners, Les and Jean, ever ready to help in any way. Les off on his bike to check all is well with the campers, Jean tearing round the site on her sit-on mower, letting us have a key to get in after a late night gig, letting us create mayhem with our jam session on our night off. Super time was had by all, see you again next year

June 2005 We visited this site with our friends, making a total of 4 adults and 7 children. The site was perfect for our requirements - clean, well maintained, excellent toilet facilites with loads of hot water. The play area is visible from all pitches, excellent as the younger children can go and play unsupervised (but you can still keep a beady eye on them!). The owners were a little abrupt, which was a surprise on a family site, but not unpleasant, and were flexible with regards to our rather odd pitching requests! We would definately visit this site again for a relaxing weekend away.

May 2005 Well laid out and maintained site with excellent fenced "football pitch" at the centre for all ages to play in. Traffic noise immediately off site not a problem but HGV's and trains could be heard in the distance in the early hours. Toilets were good quality but not cleaned daily - still ok! Half full during the half term holiday week - not sure the toilets would be sufficient if 100% in use. Could benefit from a canopy over the outside washing area if it's raining (and it did for us). We may go again later in the year so it must be good enough!

March 2005 Went for the two week period over Easter, had a great time. Les and Jean (campsite owners) were brilliant. Toilet block was excellent and clean, cleaned everyday to a superb standard. Lovely campsite, with the childrens play area's and full view. As my wife used to live in this area, she has lots of family members and friends that visited. Les and Jean didn't have any problems with the visits. Even though there is a small charge, which is understandable as cost's have to be covered our visitors loved the site. The only down side was the weather, it rained heavily once or twice which made the ground soggy. I will just have to be more precise when setting up next time as the ground is a little uneven and I chose a hollow where the awning lay.Consiquently, we couldn't use one side due to the water/mud. Overall, a very nice site, friendly owners, idealy situated for local ameneties (sp)and idealy situated for days out. Isle of Wight, Southhampton, Portsmouth, Brighton etc.
Thanks for a great holiday to Les and Jean........

July 2004 Very quiet site, except at the weekends when there was a influx of campers. Once the weekend was over it was quiet again, but plenty of space anyway. The toilet/shower block (heated)had a key pad entry system and was usually very clean. Our 5 yr old daughter's first comment when she went in for the first time was "Wow!" There was also a bathroom available (yale lock)for £2 for 30 mins- including cleaning time - which was useful when children don't particularly like showers! There was a play area, in full view of all the tents- swings/tyres/logs/small slide. No laundrette on site, but the one in town just 5 mins drive away.

July 2003 A nice campsite in the heart of Littlehampton - would reccommend for families. The downside for us was Les the campsite owner - he would often cycle round the campsite to check we were following campsite rules and we were only there one night! In fact we were made to feel like kids again. Sometimes the bigger campsites can seem more attractive....

2001 We have been to this site a few times now, it is perfect for the no frills getaway weekend. Very close to littlehampton, while we were there last time they had an excellent parade through the town. This site is small, and family run. They are very fiendly and helpfull. A small amount of electric pitches. The shower block is clean and well run. It has a tennis court and a small shop. Dogs are welcome. No views but close to The Body Shop Experience and local towns and beaches.
