Stayed in a large tent with electrical hook up
Nice sized pitches, and cheap to stay.
Had a play park for the kids and was a nice and friendly site. The site was made up of 95% tents which was a nice change. The site itself was fairly quiet apart from the main road that ran by the site, but this did not cause us any disruption. The owner was friendly and walked around during the evening for a chat etc.
The showers were spacious and cleaned at 10am each day. However to enter them you had to use a key, which required a £10 deposit on arrival.
A 15 min walk took you in to a little shopping centre, which was handy for anything that maybe required, however there was an onsite shop for emergency needs.

Overall would return as this was a nice site and located well for Littlehampton

We had to cancel our main holiday to France, so I was searching the internet for a campsite on the South Coast to visit for a few days.

Found this campsite and started to read the reviews, and to be honest was a bit unsure about booking as there were quite a few negative reviews.

However, I rang the site to try and make a booking, they were very helpful, and were able to book us in with an electric hook-up pitch, so we arrived the following day.

It is a lovely campsite, good sized pitches, clean toilets and showers, small shop with tourist information leaflets available, milk, ice lollies, bread are a few of the items on sale.

You leave a £10 for a key to the toilet block, the block is only accessible with this key, which is a really good idea, as it stops kids whose parents don't bother keeping an eye on them hanging around in the toilets making a mess.

There is a playground in the middle of the site, and a fenced off area for ball games, which is a great idea to stop stray balls hitting your caravan.

The site quietens down nicely in the evening.

The road nearby can be a bit noisy and there is a large building site opposite the site which can give some background noise, but nothing too much to worry about.

The town and beaches are very nearby, Tesco is 5 minutes away, and just beyond Tesco is a really great farm shop selling local produce.

The owner recommended a lovely pub to go and eat at nearby called the Oyster Catcher.

We would visit again, and would recommend it to anyone, either couples, or families.

Have just returned from camping at Daisy Fields in Littlehampton in the Sussex countryside, near the sea. We found the campsite to be excellent in all aspects.
The grounds are large enough for privacy and are very well maintained.
Toilet and showers were very modern and clean, the showers always seemed to have exactly the right temperature.
The management were extremely polite and helpful. Les even taking the trouble to visit us on the first day to recommend better positioning of our tent to avoid the wind.
We felt we were very looked after because of the care he took looking after everyone's safety and security.
Without hesitation we consider this to be the best campsite in Britain and are looking forward to our next holiday there.

My wife, 2 kids and I camped for a long weekend.  Great facilities: showers with plenty of hot water- very clean. Lovely play area for the kids including a fenced off field in the centre.
The site is a great base for the Littlehampton and coastal resorts as well as beautiful Arundel.

The owners Jean and Les were very friendly and helpful ( very good humoured when our disposable bar-b-q just about smoked them out of the shop!.)  For us the facility for freezing ice packs was a god send.

Highly recommended.

We have just returned from "Daisy Fields" and are absolutely thrilled.

The facilities are lovely; nice, modern and clean toilet/shower block (with hot showers), the field is beautifully maintained, the playground is equipped with fantastic wooden frames. There is a rectangular area fenced in which allows football being played without anybody getting hit by balls going astray. My children had a lovely time, the whole campsite felt very safe. There is a small shop which sells the basics, Tesco is 5 min down the road and there is a corner shop in walking distance.

The beaches of Littlehampton and Climping are very near by and Arundel and it's castle are only 10 min away.

We found the owners very nice and helpful. The husband did walk/drive around on a regular basis but it did not bother us, to the contrary, as he stopped and chatted to the punters, it was quite nice.

It is a lovely quiet campsite, just perfect for families - please stay away if you are out to party - you'd be spoiling it!

We stayed at this site last August over the bank holiday weekend. When I booked it  was for three families, two with tents and us in our caravan. We were given pitches opposite each other across the road, not ideal with young families.

I have to agree with every other review about abrupt rudeness from the hosts. They are the Basil and Sybil of caravan wardens! Everything is too much trouble even if you are paying for it.

I can't see me ever staying on this site again unless the owners sell up.

After reading the views for this site I was very concerned and worried at what the campsite was like.  But, I should never have worried.  I thought the site was lovely, it was clean and the toilet block was fantastic.  I do think that the washing up should be under cover, but it wasn't.so what.  To be honest I have travelled Europe with the tent and I must say that I have been to a lot worse.  I did think the site was noisy as in the planes/trains and cars, but again that's not the site owners fault. I thought the site was definitely a winner and going to be on my list for next year.  Thank you for a great time.  Just a shame the weather couldn't be better.

We wanted a one night stay in the area but many sites wouldn't take our booking. Daisy Fields were happy to take a one nighter although the site was only half full for the weekend. The whole site is looking a little tired with lots of nettles and weeds on the boundaries. The facilities are good and clean but the plastic roof on the shower block means it gets very hot when the sun is out. The location is good being only a short cycle ride to the main beach. The only real complaint is that the owners are odd in as much as you feel you are putting them out by staying at their campsite. All in all I'd give them 7/10.

We did not enjoy our stay here as we felt unable to relax, firstly the owner would go round on his bike to do hourly checks on you.
When he was not on his rounds he had a pair of steps ( like the ones you get in a warehouse to reach the top racks ) which he would stand on to watch over you ( very uncomfortable ) He seems annoyed  when you entered the shop (shop is very tiny more like a porch) as if you have disturbed him. And he gets very annoyed if you have a top box as the top of the gate is kept locked, this means he has to unlock it before you go in or out but giving him the option to question where you are going.

The second reason we did not enjoy our stay here was the fact that the field seemed to be covered in ants and worms. When we mentioned the ants to the owner, his reply was " yeah we have ants it's a field "

Thought we would try here again for Easter, but wished we had give it a miss really. Last year, we explained how we travelled from Wigan, 260 miles away, so would arrive early and we were told that was no problem. This year we were greeted with Jean moaning because we were there before 12 midday.

We set up and positioned our unit so we would hopefully not get flooded again if it rained, which it did and we did get problems with mud in the awning. So there is still no drainage on the pitches.
Les complained that we had set up beyond the boundary of the pitch, yet there was no obvious markings and we were not told by Jean.
We were charged an adult price for our 13 year old daughter, even though the price list on the web site stated children up-to 13 and when I totalled the full charge up, Jean had even charged us too much. So do your maths if you go.

The toilet block as always is closed between 1100am and 1pm for cleaning, but on more than one occasion you could not gain access at 1030 and these are the only toilets on site. My Children went to the shop just after 6 pm one evening and were told not to 'myther' by Jean, as she has a busy day and does not want to be disturbed. Consequently when my wife's family came to visit on an evening, we did not want to disturb Jean to make the payment for visitors and I was reminded by Les that some of our visitors were not paying, how could we win on that one?

Think we will give it a miss for a few years and see if attitudes get better.
