We bought a static caravan on Seaview this year & we have loved it.

The site is very well managed & the staff have been so helpful & friendly. The gardens throughout the site look lovely & are very well kept, & the new pool has been a great addition to the site, especially on very hot days.

The entertainment in the clubhouse has also been great so far & we have had many enjoyable evenings in there with a very good atmosphere & not one bit of trouble. Our caravan isn't far from the clubhouse but we haven't heard any noise from it throughout the evenings or when it closes, which has been good.

We really can't fault this site at all, it's been lovely and peaceful, yet also busy in the summer with children and families enjoying themselves. We were wondering whether the peace would be shattered when school holidays came, but we were pleasantly surprised as it didn't get too noisy at all, yet did get busier, but that wasn't a problem.

We are looking forward to more holidays on this site & wish to thank all the staff on the site for making it so enjoyable.

This was our third stay at Seaview, the first being last year, the second on the early May bank holiday.

In May it rained, and to say this place floods would be an understatement! If you were pitching in a tent, you had no chance. This we thought was a one off, and possibly due to adverse weather. Even in a caravan we cut short our stay and left on the sunday. Facilities soon became overun with mud and it all turned messy.

So August came around and we hoped for something better as this is not to far from where we live. However, upon arrival we found things were no better. The grass area was no longer, just brown mud puddles, the tarmac areas had no drainage and the place had clearly suffered from no improvements from our last visit. Mud was everywhere, dry and wet!

Still, we thought we'd make the best of it, however, as previously mentioned by other visitors, the sites rules are not adhered too, and clearly no one bothers to enforce them. Dogs are allowed to roam off the lead, even in the kids play area, football and children riding bikes in the picnic areas, no clear footpaths or routes to get anywhere, so people just walk straight through your pitch, or wherever their noses take them! Clearly the site is not for people wanting a 'quiet' weekend and would not recommend it for people with younger children as they would need constant supervision!

Deposit needed for toilet key was a joke, as they ran out of keys, so removed the locks! Madness soon followed and rarley was thre sufficient hot water.

We were told passes were needed to get into club house, but were never asked by anyone to see them, the staff that were there were clearly overun, and not able to cater for such numbers. Clubhouse no where near big enough to handle to sheer numbers of people they have booked in, had there been a serious incident, I would have hated to see the outcome!

It appears that a large number of tourers are now 'seasonal' and Park holidays has applied for planning permission to do away with the pitching field in favour of more statics and seasonal pitches, this is probably the underlying reason for a lack of investment. This site was once a lovely weekend escape, but in 12 months+, has totally changed. I for one will not be returning unless things change, seems it's more for static owners than toures and tenting.

Sad as this is a lovely part of Kent, and the surrounding area is well worth a visit.

Just spent 2 weeks at this small big, big small site. Overall I can say unfortunately I wont be returning, this however is not the fault of the site but at least half of you will enjoy it. I wont bat on about the facilities they are ok, the club house smacks of Brian Potter I almost expected Jerry Saintclaire to have a free and easy night.

Ok back to the holiday it started great the check in is easy and all the pitches apart from those close the shower block are quite good, get a pitch on E F or G if you can. There is a nice mixture of campers using all kinds of gear so we settled in for a good time. The weather was really good, warm and sunny and after we had set up and had dinner we decided to have a stroll to the beach which is only a few mins away.

None of the reviews so far have mentioned the slight problem with this when you get there you are attacked by lots of little black beetles which are harmless but just land all over you, back to the tent we zoomed. It was hot, very hot and as the weekend approached we looked forward to an excellent time.

As usual the site started to get busy come Friday afternoon and a good few others began to occupy the quite large camping field as we sat and watched. By 7pm the whole place was full, not a blade of grass in sight I have never seen a camp site fill up so fast. The air was thick with smoke and the smell of food being sizzled on the barbie all good fun until a small group kind of put a little damper on things.

The usual block booking about 5 families with an army of youngun's right next door, 3 pitches for the tents and 2 for the cars. They stayed up until 1am and it sounded like they had a very good time if you know what I mean. The next couple of days until all the weekenders went home were a little different than we are used to, there seems to be no pitch rules going on and people just walked anywhere they wanted and as I said it was very busy.

The rest of the holiday was nice and peaceful all that has been said by other reviewers about the surrounding area is true, Whitstable is lovely and we will be going there again. We had dinner at Prezzo and its very nice. All in all we did have a very good holiday so don't take my quibbles too deeply if a busy vibrant site is your bag then you won't feel out of place but it's not for us.

One thing to watch for if you have children, on some nights there will be a football match on the field at the back and parents delivering their children take a short cut through the site, they don't follow the site roads and just drive over any open space. One father drove across the cenre of the camping field at about 30mph even through small gaps (poor chap must have been late) any small children playing would have been.

A bit War and peace I know but just told it as it

We stayed at seaview in our caravan for 3 nights.

The site allowed us to pitch a small ten on our pitch instead of our awning as my 26 year old daughter wanted to experience camping again as she hadn't been since she was little, she has now got camping out her system and will be borrowing our caravan in the future, it was a very hot weekend.

The staff were very helpful, On Sunday they let us drive through a restricted area so we could dive to the beach as we had 2 Kayaks on the car.

The entertainment in the club was very good Saturday evening, and sunday we watched the disappointing England game which the club supplied fee buffet food, toilets and showers were kept clean, it was a bit awkward at times only having one key for the 4 adults to the shower and toilet block.

The only issue we had was one night another camper had let a dog continue barking, we tried to find a warden / Security to complain but couldn't find anyone, but apart from this we will use Seaview again for a weekend caravanning

We stayed here as we went to France last week and did not like it much at all. So boring. So I looked in my camping card ACSI book and saw this little site, gave them a ring whilst I was waiting to board our (early) ferry home.

We got there, about 40 mins from Dover or so, and paid our £22 for 2 nights (£11 per night inc electricity and both our kids were free!). Booked pitch G2. We didn't stay long, wanted one extra night but unfortunately someone had booked the pitch so we had to pack up and come home.

The site is nice enough from what we saw- right on the pebble beach, nice and flat, near to Herne bay (lots of food places, ice creams parlours etc), amuesements. Also Whitstable which was nice in a more classy way! Lots of quaint little shops.

We ate lunch at the Prince Albert pub in Whitstable and the food was GORGEOUS! I had a cheese ploughmans which was huge with lovely soft white bread, big block of cheese, pickle, pickled onions, salad. Drooling just thinking of it! The other had had an all day fried breakfast (King size!), and we got extra chips, chips and cheese, and bread and butter, with 4 soft drinks, and it was under £20. Honestly, lovely!

Didn't expect it.

Anyway back to the site, the clubhouse was very quiet but looks great, modern, and the amusements attached to it are lovely for the kids. There's a couple of playgrounds and stuff, nowt fancy but good enough for the kids. Didn't go into the shop, or pool. Reception full of lots of leaflets and the reception lady I spoke to was lovely.

You have to pay £10 deposit as mentioned for the key for the toilets.Showers etc. This is a pain if you want to shower at the same time as others in your party want to use loos etc but it was ok. Showers warm and clean enough etc. Bonus of toilet cubicles with sinks and mirrors in the cubicle for privacy. Didn't see local area much but there's a McDonalds, Sainsburys close by and Tesco not far away. As mentioned Herne Bay and Whitstable nice enough.

I would go back if I was ever in the Kent area again.

We enjoyed our stay here, and were very impressed by the facilities. We booked on the phone at the last minute, and were told to find a pitch when we got there, and the security guard would find us during the evening, which he did.

The site wasn't overcrowded, and the pitches were a good size. The toilets and showers were clean, and only accessible with a key for which you had to pay a £10 returnable deposit.

The club house menu offered a typical pub style selection of food, including steaks, fish & chips, burgers etc. And prices were reasonable. Breakfast is also available, although we didn't take advantage of this!

The on site shop was well stocked of food & drink, camping essentials newspapers etc, and not too expensive. All the staff we met were very friendly and helpful.

The location is ideal, and as the name suggests, has a good sea view, with a pebble beach! We drove to Broadstairs (about 25-30 mins away) to find some sand for our daughter to build a sandcastle.

A great couple of days, and we'll definitely be coming back!

Have reviewed this site previously back in Sept 08 and have regularly returned so this is more of an update than a review.

Clubhouse has been revamped and updated and although serves a very limited selection of beers still is without doubt modern and welcoming. My only gripe would be the revamped menu - although more extensive, its expensive and quite frankly less than average. My all day breakfast was partly cremated but mostly under cooked and insipid. The wife's steak had been tenderised to the point of being wafer like then charred to within an inch of its life. The burger ( at £7) was just that - a cheap and very dry burger in a dry roll with no salad or any other sort of dressing come to that with a small portion of cardboard chips.

My advice - for food go to The Plough 2 minutes up the road where you can have the most delicious homemade burger with all the trimmings with a generous portion of homemade chips for just a fiver - great food and great value.

In saying all this the site is still great and one of our favourites and we will keep coming back especially as a pool is in the process of being built and sould be finished this summer.

We chose this site for its proximity to Whitstable. It caters for statics as well as tourers, offering level, hard standing and grass pitches with or without hook-up. A mix of tents, caravans and motorhomes are parked all over the fairly large and rather barren field allocated to tourers.
It is edged by sparse shrubs and a few trees but not far from the perimeter fence is a quiet, pebble beach, divided by breakwaters. There is a pedestrian / cycle path that runs beside the sea. Turn left to walk into Whitstable, which takes about an hour. At one point the path leads across scrubby land for a few yards and becomes a rough track. Turn right and the path leads into the seaside town of Herne Bay, about fifteen to twenty minutes away.
The site has all the usual facilities, which are modern and very clean. The shower delivers a blast of hot water for about five seconds. Keep pushing the button. Each toilet cubical has its own large washbasin. A key is provided, requiring a returnable £10 deposit. There is a small play area with swings and apparatus. We could just about hear the music coming from the club house Saturday night but not at all once inside the ‘van. The site is well managed and maintained, with friendly staff but despite a few pretty flower beds, it cannot be called picturesque or stylish.

Whitstable is a delightful, shabby town of wooden architecture and narrow streets. The busy harbour has an excellent choice of fish stalls. Buy a dish of shrimps and wash them down with your own bottle of sparkling wine as you sit on the quay watching the fishing boats bob in the water.
Pearsons has two very fine restaurants, there is a modern Arts Centre and lots of bric-a-brac shops. The Rose In Bloom pub, in Joy Lane, which has a sea view, is also highly recommended.

Just spent a long weekend here with the folks. First time on this site and was very pleased with what we found.

Pitches are all very level and all kept together.

Facilities are plentiful and were kept very clean despite it being fully booked.

The site itself is now a Park Holiday and caters for statics too, but don't let this put you off. The club house facilities are great, plenty of room, and everything one could ask for including a small amusement arcade for the kids.

Located right next to the beach so easy for early mornng walks should you feel the need!

A very easy to reach site that we will be going back to again in the very near future, pity they close for winter at the end of October!

On arrival at this site, it's very pretty and well maintained, staff pleasant!

However on arrival at our pitch, I was shocked at how close we were to other neighbours tents - prob only around 6 foot away! We were right down the end of a very large field and had to use toilets we called the tardis! They were very grim. The walk to the toilet block was a good 10 minutes and with a 3 year old it wasn't good! Didn't want her using the tardis as was worried what would come out with her!

The toilets once you got to them were pleasant and relatively clean. The showers had lots of hot water on the plus side! There was a long queue most mornings around 9 ish and this meant a good half hour wait so go early & don't forget your key!

Washing up area was always busy but there was always plenty of hot water.

Staff pleasant & helpful at all times. Club house needs to be a bit bigger! Kids loved Loopy bunny! The location of the site is fantastic right on the beach which was fab. Also not far from Whistable and local shops.

Food reasonably priced although we didn't eat there! Arcades are basic but keep the kiddies happy without breaking the bank!

Although this is not that far away from us we won't be going back due to the tardis toilets & feeling more like camping at a festival!
