August 2003 We went on the hottest day for ages and the proximity to the beach was a godsend. We didn't take part in the nightlife but there was plenty of it for those that want evening entertainment. The toilet block was lovely although having to use a key that the kids had to be trusted with was something of a pain. It was occasionally flooded by kids fooling around but was kept really clean and stocked by the hard working staff and there was plenty of hot water. Each loo cubicle had a large wash basin that was good for my friend who likes her privacy. Staff were helpful and freindly and the site was prettily planted.
All in all a nice site.

june 2003 just returned from a short break at seaview,it is our second year running we have been there. It's a fantastic site situated on the coast line,it helped that the weather was great, this year they have marked out pitches for tents which are very large, the toilets were very clean and tons of hot water, staff were friendly, they have a bar, games room, resturant which does a take away service. All in all well impressed will be back again sometime next year.

The site is listed with the CCC, and is split between a 'permanent' residence of static vans and chalets, and a touring field. The touring field is very large, grassy and flat. The new toilet block opened this year and it is wonderful, gone are the mobile loos and old block and in their place a modern user friendly place.
You need a code to gain access, which is ok if you have a good memory, I'm not too sure if this a good idea or not. The entrances are at either end of the block and you can go either left or right once in. The amenities in both are similar, the gents boasts 3 showers, 4 sinks, 7 cubicles, 3 urinals, hotair hand drier on each side, all with free hot water. The ladies has 2 extra cubicles instead of the urinals and sinks. All the cubicles have a sink, which means if you want a strip wash in private you can. The toilet paper is the soft sort as well, and they are well cleaned and maintained. In the middle on the side near the children's playground is the laundry/washing up room this contains 4 sinks with drainers, two without and a washing machine and a drier. On the other outside wall are the elsan disposal points and two water taps, these could have had a covering around them I thought. But overall these are really great facilities.
All the electric hook-ups have been relaid and they all sport a light now so that you can find it in the dark. But for such a big site only having 40 hook-ups means that you have to book in busy times.
One drawback is if you are a dogowner, you can only camp on non-electric sites. This is a throw back to when the owners had several sites, this one was a no dog site, but now that they have sold one off they had to make provision for their regular dog owners. And so dogs are now allowed but only in a small area, but because the site is right on the beach there are loads of space to walk your dog.
The club room is small, and not a lot really happens. Children are welcome of course but there is not much for them to do, lots of climbing frames and swings around so for little ones it is probably alright. For teenagers the club room has 3 pool tables, 1 table tennis table and 4 fruit machines .and these tend to be 'taken over' by the resident children (those who live in the static caravans and chalets). The night life for adults consists of a Saturday night, usually with some singer or other, and the odd group.
The site shop is small and very limited, one cold cabinet and one freezer, but with both Tesco and Sainsbury within 5 minutes drive this is not a problem. If you use freezer packs then you can use the freezer and put a donation into a charity box.
There is plenty to see and do in and around the area, with Whitstable, Hernebay and Canterbury all within easy reach.
