A lovely quiet clean friendly campsite. Our first experience of a campsite as we usually just camp at classic car shows, but decided to get more use of our caravan.
The key for the toilet block is a good idea as it helps to keep them clean and tidy.
The staff were all very friendly and very helpful.
The bar and cafe were good value, and although the chef overslept :-) and we had to wait quite a while for our breakfast,we didn't mind as the cafe is a nice peaceful place with a t.V,so we sat and read our papers and watched the news.
The beach is right on the doorstep and we had a lovely walk to Herne Bay.
The plough pub, just at the end of the lane has a lovely restaurant which we used both nights we were there. That also had a nice atmosphere and very friendly staff.
We will definitely be returning next year :-)

We had booked a EHU pitch (g001). Not a good pitch as the one we were meant to be on had worn away and so we had to use a non EHU pitch and hire a lead from them costing £20 (deposit). Nice site, lots of toilets and showers, small shop and nice entertainment venue - not that anyone uses it! Entertainment was pretty poor - just one man (more a bot - he was very young!) entertaining kids and then bingo. We stayed 4 nights, but only went to club house once.
Word of warning if you are in pitch G001 or F001 you will have to hire a lead from the reception, as both pitches worn away due to people driving on the pitch. You get a massive pitch 10m x 10m and there is a lovely large field where you can fly kites / have a game of football as there are football goals. There is a Sainsburys nearby (about 5 mins in car) and a Tesco about 10 mins in car. Playground not up to much, few swings and climbing frame. But there is another park near the clubhouse and the site does have direct beach access. (stony beach).
It was my first time camping and overall I really enjoyed it.

This campsite is a nice place with nice sea views. The toilet and shower blocks are clean and has hot water. There is a very nice club house on site that has entertainment on a saturday night and a pub over the road that has live bands on a friday night, although its a family friendly site, it was quiet and everyone is friendly including the staff. There is a fair sized shop on site and a games room and park for the kids. The pitches are a fair size and you can park your car by the tent. I enjoyed my stay at this site and would definitely stay there again in the future

Great camp site, clean showers and toilets. Head for the back field for a more spacious pitch. Front section everyone is close together. Back field much better lots of room. Camp site next to sea and staff very friendly even has a small shop which stocks every thing you need. Very close to whitstable bus 4, 4a 4b takes you to town centre or you can walk on sea front walk takes 40 mins. Lovely location. Great camp site

I agree with all the previous reviews about facilities at this site being very good and the staff being very friendly.
However, a camping holiday tends to be made or broken by the people you are pitched next to, and unfortunately we were surrounded by noisy people on all sides. It was a Saturday night and the site was absolutely heaving. There were a few big groups and lots of noise. Then just as things got quiet at about 1am, the Club House disco empties and the noise goes up again. There is certainly no enforced curfew.
The beach is not really child friendly, stoney and tidal. Also, the description of an 'adventure playground' is slightly generous!

We spent 2 nights at this site and I was extremely impressed with it. On arrival the reception staff were very friendly. We were shown to our pitch and told were everything was. The toilet / shower block was the cleanest I have ever seen on a campsite and there are so many toilets and showers there is never a queue. The club house was very new and very very nice with sensible prices which makes a pleasant change. The pitches were a good size giving plenty of space to each tent. A well stocked shop is also a good thing to have so that was great. All in all it is a great site and we will definitely be returning.

Just got back from 2 night at seaview, well what can I say. Well I was the first camper of 2009 and I think I should get an award for that.
Me I'm used to camping on scout camps, so I felt a bit spoilt, heated shower block with hot showers. Heated washing up room with hot water.
First day I took a stroll down to Herne Bay 3/4 hour was worth it and has a JD Weatherspoons pub. On the way back I did stop to quench my thirst at the Hampton Inn, a locals pub, but very friendly. Of an evening the site was very quiet (to be fair it's march). Did try the new club house (very smart) but there was only three of us in there including the bar man. Other than that The Plough pub, about 200 yards down the road does a nice bar meal at a fair price and those with kids a McD's is about 1/2 mile away and Sainsburys is a little bit further still.
All in all Seaview is a nice little site. But please don't tell everyone 'cause I'd like to go back one day and and I don't want it full up.

A gem of a little site just a few miles from home for us so nice and easy to get to on a Friday evening.
Nice little bar though a bit dated and a wee bit of a clicky atmosphere sometimes from the static owners but nothing to put you off going in there.
Good bike ride along the flat seafront and an easy walk to The Plough pub which serves the most amazing and reasonably priced food and also offers a good range of beers
Have already booked to spend Easter 09 here and will doubtless return for many more visits

Stayed summer 08 for 3 days. We had a great time, bar was very good, cafe not so good. Would recommend and also recommend you book well inadvance to get electric and near the showers etc. If not take plety of lights as its well dark and you will be on the outer side and a good walk to showers etc.
Did not travel to Whitstable but will do next time, as the fresh fish looks promising for the BBQ also there are other promising attractions.

Just returned from this site and would recommend. The site is immaculate, large clean pitches, well marked out with or without EHU. Extremely friendly staff nothing too much trouble. Party laid on for children with face painting, games, food etc. Lovely and quiet, but we had great neighbours! Toilet blocks/showers cleaned regularly and also seperate room for washing up and clothes washing. Very reasonable little shop.
Entertainment area could do with brightening up a bit but that did not detract from enjoyment. Two childrens play areas one small one near the tent pitches and a larger one nearer the statics.
Handy for Howletts Zoo and Spitfire museum. Would definitely return to this site.
