We last used this site in Sept 2009 and couldn't wait to return. We were not disappointed when we did - the site was peaceful as always (we were on the front field) with the exception of loud music from a group of tenters for a short time, the newest of the toilet blocks was clean and provided hot water (didn't use the older block).
The swimming pool was clean but even on a very hot May day was freezing - it would definitely benefit from some form of heating.
There is a bar and restaurant but we didn't use these.
The site is pretty as a picture and reasonably priced at £20 per night with ehu.
We will return again.

Just spent a week at this site we were greeted by the friendly owner and a member of staff showed us where we could pitch our tent. As we come with friends we decided to use the the front field so we could pitch up next to each other pitches were a good size.
The toilet and shower block near the bar was a bit old and tired and only having one shower, the newer block showers were better and having more room for parents to shower younger ones. I had no problems with not having to queue or not having hot water, and I found them clean at all times.
Good play area for the kids, also there was plenty of room on the fields for football, frisbee etc. The pool is out doors and not heated so only for the brave.
The on site shop is only open at 3 set times though out the day and very basic.
Good friendly on site pub were you can eat in the restaurant or take away (cheesy chips may soon be on the menu)all at a good reasonably price.
The only problem we had was that we had other campers dogs running around our tents and food area's.
All in all we had a great time here and will return and recommend to others.

This site was very different for us as we were in a big field with lots of tents, but the whole experience was great. When we arrived we were given a very comprehensive tour round of the facilities and were given the choice of a couple of pitches. The showers were great once we sussed out how to adjust the hot and cold feed pipe taps. There are showers and toilets in the pub and another block outside. We never had to queue but the outside block is simply one builing partitioned into two for male and female so its very airy and I guess doesn't have any heating in winter. There is a on site pub and another one round the corner but for everything else you will need a car.
A couple of minutes drive away there is a large farm shop which has great food and a cafe that does excellent homecooked food at unbelievable prices. The outdoor pool is not heated but kids don't seem to mind, cant say the same for the adults. They offer horse riding, which was lovely round the country lanes. Diss has a Tesco and Morrisons which is not too far away. It also has a pool, but we went to Bungay pool which is fab with a slide and a big aqua run on fun sessions. Nearby are an aviation museum, which was great and a Bomb group museum.
A great site but it does take about 50 mins in a car if you want beach at Yarmouth, Lowestoft etc.

Spent 4 nights midweek in August, cost £84 for non-electric. Pitched in large field very close to children's play area, which kept the kids happy. Plenty of room in field for some epic mums vs kids cricket matches!
Reception and shop closed when we arrived at midday. Shop only opens for 3 half hour periods a day which is a bit of a pain, and doesn't sell much. Plenty of shops in nearby Diss and Harleston.
Two toilet blocks, one old one in main building and a newer one nearer the back field. The showers in the main block are a waste of time, direct water horizontally and can't be adjusted, so use showers in other block which were great. Neither blocks were particularly kept clean and frequently ran out of toilet paper so make sure you've got your own in case!
Good washing up facilities and laundry.
Outdoor swimming pool looks nice but is so cold my kids only stayed in for a few minutes which is very unusual for them.
Horse riding on site, £14 for half an hour, kids loved it!
This a bar and restaurant on site; we didn't use it, but quite a few locals seem to come and go every night. Half Moon pub round the corner didn't use but well spoken about.
All the bins (no recycling) on site by the time they were emptied on Wednesday were full and overflowing with flies and wasps all around them. Apparently they hope to get some new bins soon.
The wasps were an absolute menace; ruined most mealtimes and caused a few people to pack up and leave early.
Nearby to site is a factory which does create some noise and heavy lorries at strange hours.
Not a bad site, but nothing special, relieved to escape the wasps! 6/10.

Spent a weekend here and although the owners were friendly, this campsite seemed to be very dated. The toilet block seemed to always have a wet floor and only had two toilets in it, which caused queues - the hot tap in the sinks scalded me as it got too hot to use all the time, but the taps in the washing up room had no hot water in them. The pool had leaves in it along with having lots of stones in it too. But the main problem of the weekend were the wasps - everytime we went to eat or drink, we became infested with them, making our whole party very uncomfortable, especially the small children. The playground also needs updating.

Large group of us went to this site, were given a warm welcome, however, not all facilities available as catering for fishing club on one night and wedding on the second night, so wasn't able to use restaurant or bar.
Local fish and chip shop in Harleston was the best we had tasted in a long time.
Second night had our own bar-b-que borrowed bricks to stand disposables on.
As it was very hot the children used the pool, it was cold despite weather, not the cleanest we have seen but welcomed for cooling off.
Toilet and shower block near bar area were looking a bit tired, however, they were clean and the showers were hot. The site was not busy so queuing was never a problem. I did use the other block on the back field and they were brighter and nicer to use.
Could not see any recycling facilities for bottles etc. If there were any, better signing would be helpful.
Enjoyed our stay because of the weather, if it had been raining don't think we would have been so happy.
Would recommend for a very quiet stay

We were greeted by very friendly and helpful staff and soon checked in and shown where to pitch our tent. The pitches were very spacious and the site was well maintained.
The toilets and showers were clean yet somewhat dated, however the showers were piping hot! There are plenty of good walks and a friendly pub on the site which served good food at a reasonable price. The horse riding was a real hit with the kids too!
The only negative comment we have is the lack of hot water in the washing up area and the sinks in the toilets. We will certainly be returning to this site and hope the hot water issue has been addressed.

Just returned from 4 glorious days at Waveney Valley Holiday Park; at last, the British weather has got its act together! We found this site on UKCS and booked the day we arrived. The site accommodated us without any issues.
The site is small, quiet, neat and tidy. Our pitch was in the back field which is sheltered on all sides by trees. The pitches are positioned around the edge of this large field, with EHU's, leaving plenty of space for the children to play in the middle. We were fortunate that our pitch faced west so we got the last rays of the sun in the evening. However, some other pitches were in shadow by early evening, so this might be a consideration on where to pitch.
The main shower block consists of 2 toilet cubicles, 2 showers and 2 hand basins in both the ladies and gents. There is also another older block. The facilities didn't seem too busy, although there were some queues at busy times even though the site was only about half full. The showers are free and there was always plenty of hot water when we used them.
There is a small shop on site selling the basic food essentials and also Camping Gaz (but quite expensive!). We did most of our shopping in Diss, which is about 15 minutes car journey, where there is a Tesco, Morrision and a Somefield, so something for everyone.
The children loved the outside swimming pool although it is unheated. Even on a very hot June day, the freezing waters didn't entice the grown ups in! However, the pool area is a bit tired.
Contrary to previous reviews, we didn't feel that the staff were very friendly at all as, on our arrival, we were almost begrudgingly shown to our pitch. New arrivals in the next pitch on the following day also felt the same.
We had a large family tent with a pup tent and found that our pitch was narrow leaving us with a bit of a squeeze to the adjacent campers.
As in previous reviews, the hot water in the washing up room was a bit sporadic with only a trickle at most times requiring us to get a bowl of hot water from the toilet block next door.
The toilets were not kept particularly clean whilst we were there. The toilet paper also ran out twice in the ladies during our stay. There was no hand soap to wash after using the toilets.
Overall a good campsite where we enjoyed our stay, but at £28/night we would have expected the basics to be better.

Have just returned from a 3 night stay at Waveney and would definitely recommend if you are looking for a chilled out weekend away with the family.
The staff were friendly and made you feel welcome from the moment you arrived.
A friendly bar and restaurant with lovely food, and a small shop which was great for the kids pocket money gifts.
There were 2 shower/toilets blocks, we weren't far from either but I chose to use the smaller older block and could not complain, the toilets were cleaned regularly and the showers were hot, although the shower cubicles could do with a hook for clothes but that was the only thing. My husband did use the newer one's and said they were kept very clean too.
The children didn't use the play area much, but a lot of other children did. My daughter loved going to visit the horses and enjoyed riding one of them. Well worth the money for any 7yr old girl.
We had a great weekend away despite the great British weather being unkind to us but would definitely return.
