Just back from Oct half term week at Vauxhall, fantastic value for a full blown holiday camp style site at £155 for seven nights on an electric pitch. This is probably one of the better sites of it's type in the country.
Pitches are not enormous, but adequate with concrete pad for the van surrounded by grass and individual electric post for each pitch. We found the whole site to be clean and tidy including the amenity blocks, some achievement for a wet and muddy half term week. We first stayed at Vauxhall in 1978 and have returned periodically ever since watching it develop and get better over the years.
Everything you need is available on site but if you need a supermarket, then Asda is only a few hundred yards away, including filling station. Fast food outlets, perhaps a little dear, but on a par with any other similar venue. The Sunday carvery was first class and good value. Bar prices, again rather high but good service with pleasant staff.
The entertainment was a mixed bag with something for everyone, including Bingo (Not for us), with the choice of two venues, one for families and one for adults only. Large arcade and everything that goes with it. A huge 'Sports Bar' with pool and snooker tables. Large indoor swimming complex with separate pool for the little ones.
All in all a first class family site and we'll be back.

What can I say such a great site with so many facilities available to you. We stayed there for two weeks we used the toilet and shower daily and found them to be of a good standard and cleaned on a regular basis.
We found the prices for food and drink on site a little expensive but there was a good choice on offer like fish & chips, pizza, kebab and southern fried chicken.
We found the site very child friendly and we spent many days going swimming and played snooker and pool in the sports bar.
The staff was very friendly and only too happy to help. We enjoyed our stay the whole experience was great so much that we have booked two weeks for next year!

These pitches are small for todays larger tents and Caravans, they claimed to be 10m square, ours measured 7m x 8m, and expensive at £40.00 per night. Toilet block was showing signs of wear with loose trim. They were cleaned periodically but left a lot to be desired in between. Electric hook up post for 4 connections and one socket was hanging loose. Bar overpriced, take away food good quality and generous portions but overpriced. Entertainment super. 10am a little too early for a checkout, although 11am very nice for an early arrival. No post collection at weekends. Easy access to local supermarket (Asda), and you can walk into Great Yarmouth centre in 20 mins. The attraction really is the free entertainment if you don't mind paying £40/night.

Just returned from a week here with the family
The site's facilities and location tick all the boxes.
It's a good site and with some reinvestment in some of the facilities such as toilet blocks etc, it could be a great site.
Kids loved the swimming pool and slides.
It has four different take aways to cover most tastes and a restaurant.
The Chip Shop was a bit to be desired and the pizza place was good, but expensive.
The restaurant was of a very good quality, but also rather expensive.
There seems to be a recurring theme, everything is rather expensive.
My little one loved the evenings entertainment, but soon got bored with, miss Vauxhall and a glamorous granny comp almost every night.
The only down really big down side for me is some of the sites clientèle, (please don't get me wrong, I enjoy a beer or two of an evening) But I don't wish to hear the occupants of a small Northern town that suffer from tourettes returning to their tents at half midnight.
If it wasn't for the fact that I enjoy visiting different places, I might return

Booked 4 nights on this site in early April although the weather was pants, we found the site up to standard and the staff very obliging. The toilets and showers were kept clean and tidy. The on site fast food was quite good and reasonably priced, which is more than can be said for the on site grocery store. Ode to good old ASDA which is within walking distance. The children's entertainment was first class. The drinks a bit pricey but you cant have everything, we feel this site has a lot to offer, and would contemplate a return trip.

We stayed at Vauxhall over the bank holiday weekend and took our young niece. Having been before we ensure we booked a pitch beside the road as we know how tight the pitches are to get in and out and with it being a bank holiday we knew it would be full. We put an awning up this time which was not a pleasurable experience due to the muddy pitch - it was just mud, no grass left at all.
As before the place was spotless all the time and we were very impressed (as per my review from September 2010).
We even tried the take away food again and all agreed the chips were much improved!
Our niece enjoyed the entertainment which is excellent for children as well as adults and she also went to one of the daytime activities which was well organised. She also loved the big park and the sports bar is ideally located for the adults to sit outside and watch whilst the kids are on the park.
We also had the joy of the East Anglian Truckers driving past whilst we were there and the site announce this so everybody knows it is happening and doesn't get missed.
Yes, it is expensive compared to your basic campsites, but the entertainment that comes with it makes it worthwhile.
We would return again.

Our first trip to Norfolk, and this 5 star park was our choice, we were looking for a park with the Trimmings to keep our 7 and 8 year old entertained, as a whole the park is extremely well run and spotlessly clean toilets and showers are A! The pool in and out is top class, staff pleasant and polite
Pitch allocation seems to be lottery and to be honest they where rammed, no socialising areas
The entertainment complex is great although the e team could do with some 'haven training 'as they just did not connect with the kids, the bought in acts were good bit the in house stuff was talentless and s dire, , bar prices were as to be as expected
Unfortunately over our two week stay we became increasingly aware of the clientèle, it seems this five star park has attracted 2 star guests
And that comes from a northern working class family, and on that basis we will not be returning

Just come back from a wonderful week at Vauxhall,
I had been to this site before about four years ago, Facilities have improved with the adults only bar having had a very classy makeover, we saw some really good acts in there, The swimming pool facilities are outstanding to be fair.
Great take aways, amusements, crazy golf, the large cabaret room is very good and we saw a wonderful Michael Jackson act.
Large Asda across the bridge about 2 miles,
Went to Yarmouth races which is a cracking day out, went to a great pub by the racecourse called The Avenue, very nice welcome and the food was fantastic.
We went to Wroxham for the day to hire a boat and go on the Broads, I really recommend this, It cost us £49. 00 for our own boat for three hours which is plenty, wonderful scenery along the banks, Wroxham is approx 17 miles from the camp.
Well done Vauxhall it was well worth the 6 hour drive and we won a voucher for a £100 off our next hol.
If you like a good time with friends and family then go to this park.

Advertised as a 5 star holiday park. Lets get a star taken off for the state of the facilities. Toilets were appalling. Complained on 1 occasion and was told they had just been done. I don't know what the cleaners actually did.
I was told it was hard for them to keep up with them. Well at nearly £300 a week for a standard pitch I think they could afford a couple more. The pitch sizes vary depending on where you are on the park. We had a super small one.
Security were a waste of time too. They came to tell the folk in the caravan across from us to quieten down at half 10 one night. Bit ironic that the noise from the club was much louder and didn't cease until after midnight.
Only 1car per pitch allowed. Pity next door had 5 cars blocking everyone's way. Don't know where everyone slept. Entertainment complex was always clean but everything was expensive. £4 For a bottle of bullets. £3. 70 For pint of strongbow.
Fish shop was expensive same for kebab and pizza place. Crazy golf was good and £2. 50. So good value really. Overall the site needs money spending on it and owners need to look at there pricing. Swimming pool was a blast and was very rarely packed.
Would I come again. Yes but not in school holidays when pitches are almost half the price. Good place for access into great Yarmouth. About 1. 5 miles away.

This is a really great site - I was optimistic anyway because the reviews on the whole were pretty good but I was pretty impressed I have to say. OH and I don't really enjoy the Haven type sites but the children so love the entertainment and discos that we try to go to one each year - we normally can't wait to get away from them by the end of the break, but here we actually quite enjoyed ourselves.
My daughter gets two weeks at Whit so we were able to go for the much quieter week before Whit week which I think was key, plus our pitch (226) was well away (but still less than 5 mins walk) from the entertainment centre and really peaceful and quiet.
Our pitch was a super pitch so we had mains water, drainage, 10amps elec and freeview hook up - this area was so peaceful it was hard to believe at times that we were at a holiday park. I would say that tucked away in a corner our pitch was possibly the largest super pitch there, there was one maybe at the other end of the row which was maybe a similar size but it was closer to the road noise. If you do book for 226 its worth taking your windbreaks as there's a gate to the suites between the pitches, its not used too heavily but it was nice to sort of screen it off and instead we parked the car in front of the caravan which didn't pose any problems.
The shower block was adequate, the shower area seemed generous with mirrors and electricity points - its a bit dated to be honest, I hated the stainless steel sinks and surrounds made it all look a bit public loo but it was kept very clean and we saw the cleaning buggy there at least once each day. Being multi service myself and the children showered in the van but OH said the showers were clean and hot.
The facilities were fantastic - the Regency room, well it could do with a decor refurb but its large and has plenty of tables and chairs. The entertainment was brilliant, there was something on every night, the kids did party dances, discos, disney show, fancy dress competition, step back in time disco, treasure hunt, not forgetting Louie & Lola who were big hits with the children - there was loads more we could have done. The evening entertainment was all held together by Neil who did a fantastic job and was very funny.
The swimming pools were well thought out and absolutely spotless, there was a slide for older and younger children and the pool was lovely and warm. We didn't get to use the splash zone outside as it was a bit chilly but it looked great. Reedcutters restaurant is very good too, a bit like an upmarket Brewers Fayre and the food was pretty good much much better than expected.
Overall, I'd say this is probably the best holiday park we've stayed at in this country with camping pitches and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for this type of holiday, the kids are already pestering to return!
