We have stayed at vauhall for the last 3 years and have thoroughly enjoyed each visit, there is loads of activities to keep the kids occupied (including a free swimming complex). The entertainment is great, my kids loved it. Each year we return there has always been improvements made, this year there is a new restaurant and some new take aways. My only criticisms are that the toilet blocks always seem to be in a state, the take aways are over priced with very slow service (i queued up for over an hour for fish & chips which were below average anyway). Despite this we will be returning in 2006 (we all love Great Yarmouth)and hope to see some improvements on the toilet blocks.

Having just returned from a week at this site I can say it is good. I chose to be a bit further away near the back of the camp & found space ample for My 18' plus awning, car & gazebo!! The site entertainment was as good as you would expect from a Family themed holiday camp with plenty to do for young & old alike. The shop was a bit small but had a good range though a large ASDA superstore is only 500yds away so getting usual nessasary items cheaply was no problem.Access around the site is good, though some of the corners are a bit tight especially with larger vans. All the amenities, especially the pools & toilets which were kept to a very high standard of cleanliness, even with some campers choosing to leave them in a very bad state. Security was also good & highly visible, especially at night, and I saw no trouble mainly because of this visible deterrant. Only real downside were the food outlets which were let down by their standards & level of service which was very slow especially at peak times with staff being in short supply.Giving this though there are several other take aways & restaurants nearby so you shouldn't be spoilt for choice. The park itself is some distance from the beach & served by a very scarce bus service which could do with improving especially as it stopped at only 5pm. Would give this site 8 1/2 out of 10 & am already looking to go back again next year...

July 2005 Just come back from a two week holiday. The toilet block was very dirty showers smelt of sewage toilets kept blocking up. The showers were very low no good if your tall and no heat adjustment. Very cramped site had to ask neighbour to move car so we could get to our pitch. Struggled to get car on and off pitch for whole holiday. Entertainment was terrible.
Security staff friendly and helpful as were most staff. Beer was reasonable price.

July 2005 I have been to Vauxhall 5 times now my 3 children love it. If you like peace then it will not be the site for you. Its very clean - the cleaners work round the clock. It is great for young families. I have a baby and put her in Jack and Jills creche. She loved it and she was well cared for it gave me time for my older children. The entertainment was great. Every time we return improvemens have been made to the site. Out of ten I would give this site eight.

June 2005 Stayed for one night in our new tent and were impressed with the site, we had pitch 181 which is quite close to the road so there is some traffic noise but that much. The toilets and showers were clean and there was hot water (but too hot actually, reception staff very helpful and check in was easy. The entertainment seemed to be good we spent some time over at the Regency Room for the kids disco and some games which they really enjoyed. This is a family site and there were plenty of kids running around and ridding there bikes and scooters and generaly enjoying themselves. Plenty of opportunites to get something to eat although we did our own, indoor pool is good had a couple of slides. Tables and chairs poolside for those who want to sit and watch.

August 2004 The pitches were to close together with no where to park the car next to the caravan. The toilet blocks were left in a state by others. The good thing was that the children liked the swimming pool and we like Great Yarmouth and the surrounding area.

July 2004 Having returned to Vauxhall after a few years away, we found the facilities to be much the same. A few newer bits and upgrades.
Toilets/shower cleaned regularly. However campers left the toilet area in a disgusting condition on many occasions.
Due to large numbers of statics and campers, it was very very busy, chidren running, cycling all over the campsite unsupervised. Many people seem to get their children to go and play somewhere away from them so are not aware of the noise and language.
Noise level from the road has defintitely increased. We also happened to be near bus stop which was used in evening by people waiting for taxis, rendevous etc - noise and bad language was prevalent after midnight.
A increase in campers who have no consideration for others, shouting at each other 7am in morning, radios left on in unoccupied tents, walking between your car and tent (over guy ropes) rather than use paths made the holiday the worst camping holiday we have had in 20 years.
Kids enjoyed the sports facilities although better organisation around the tennis bookings would be nice. Smaller children couldn't use some of the play areas in evening as large number of unsupervised children pushing and shoving made it very unpleasant.
Found kids clubs very poor, little variety and very unorganised. Some Staff seemed to only want to chat to each other rather than take activities. Some competitions staff didn't know basic rules of the activity.

September 2004 Just had a week at Vauxhall, third time we have been, excellent site, clean facilities, everything you need on site. Even though it is a holiday park there were no problems with noise and security good. Would recommend to anyone and have booked again for next year as did a lot of people I spoke to.
Great family site.

June 2004 We have just come back from a weeks holiday at this caravan site.
We had a very enjoyable stay, there was lots for our daughter to do. The toilets were clean, as was the site. It was quiet on a night with no loud drunken people.
The entertainment was excellent, the drinks and food all reasonably priced. Everthing was in good order, clean and well looked after.
In my view faultless. A great family holiday.

June 2004 This was my first time camping since being in the Girl Guides. Booking was done easily over the phone. Staff in reception were friendly and helpful. We found our pitch with help from the site map, and set up camp! We only stayed for one night, and didn't even go to the bar or shop, but found the shower facilities and toilets in good condition. We were impressed with the security on the main entrance in the evening. Great Yarmouth sea front is about a 20 minute walk away, and there is a big Asda just across the road. The only downside to the park was the fact that it was located on a main road. Would definately go back again!
