Excellent site - one of the best. Tremendous cliff-top situation, beautiful (and clean) facilities, friendly staff, and great views. We stayed on a very windy night, but the shelter provided by the wall/hedges in the main camp area (tent) was very effective at keeping us sheltered.

The Puffin Pantry mobile fish and chips (two nights a week at time of writing) provide some of the best fish and chips you will get anywhere.

Can't fault any of it! I just wish more sites were like this.

Nice site in a lovely position. Very useful shop and well stocked.

Beware the advice to arrive in the afternoon is for a reason, the access road is a single track with no passing places.

If you are in a motorhome this may not be the site to use as once you are there you are stuck.

We had a small concrete pitch surrounded by tents. The site states 6 metres between pitches, does not happen we had tents both sides within 2 metres of us.

They state dogs must be kept on a lead, but this did not happen dogs roamed everywhere with no policing by the owners.
Management response: The pitch that is mentioned is actually a pleasant pitch that many of our regular motor caravanners specifically ask for. We have attached two pictures of it which show its location on the park.

There are tent pitches each side of the pitch, as can be seen in the pictures. We work hard to maintain a six metre gap between tents and/or motor caravans. Customers on arrival are given an information leaflet stating the gap between tents etc. And we regularly check to ensure this gap is maintained. All pitches are marked out to help ensure the gap is adhered to.

The access road is quite narrow. It is a council adopted road and does have several passing places, some of which are capable of allowing two motor caravans to pass each other. Indeed, this access road enables 40' x 12' static holiday caravans to come down to the park on caravan transporters. Each year we have many motor caravanners who return to the park, some have been here on several occasions over a number of years.

We have a strict 'dogs on a lead' policy on the park and are quick to talk to any dog owners should they not adhere to this. Our reception is manned from 8:00am to 8:00pm this time of year (late July and August) and a report of any dog roaming would be dealt with quickly.

This was a return visit for us, having visited for 10 days in August 2010, we wanted to go back as we hadn't fully explored the area and our children also fell in love with the site and Pembrokeshire.

This year we came with Aunty and two cousins and had adjacent pitches. The site was much quieter than two years ago (maybe because of the Olympics?) but even when it was busy it was still fabulous. The first 3 days and 2 nights were lovely but then the weather moved in and the next 2 nights were very windy and wet, and as we were going to have to leave early anyway due to our eldest having broken her nose on the first day, the weather meant we left a day earlier than planned.

The staff are always around, are very helpful and we just love the clean, warm facilities which are available with hot water all day and night at no extra cost. The first time we visited, the washers and dryers were very handy.

The added bonus of somewhere indoors to go was fab, especially when trying to pack up in strong gusty winds and rain; the 5 children went in the games room and we could get on with it.

We will definitely return for a 3rd visit sometime.

We stayed for a week at Fishguard Bay over June half term. We would have no hesitation in recommending this site to anyone. The staff were always helpful and polite and although we had no cause for assistance they appeared to be on-hand if necessary. The site benefits from spectacular views over Fishgaurd and Goodwick with most if not all pitches benefiting from seaviews. Its situation is ideal for visiting the many beautiful bays and beaches. St David's is in reasonable distance as is the Iron Age Fort at Castell Henllys, both worth a visit. The campsite facilities including toilet block, washing up area and laundry room are excellent and extremely well kept. There are also microwaves and freezer facilities for ice blocks. Children are well catered for with a games room and outdoor play area. The shop is well stocked and during our stay, open 8am-8pm Mon-Sat (also open Sunday but slightly reduced hours). We were also fortunate enough to benefit from the 'Puffin Pantry' mobile fish and chip bar which visited the site a number of evenings during our stay. Freshly cooked fish and chips etc. Made to order and reasonably priced - excellent! Needless to say one visit was not enough!

Arrived on the Thursday to spectacular views, and some amazing flat pitches, The forecast for the night was not good with high winds expected and the kind gentleman on site showed us around a few available pitches whilst explaining the best shelter and direction of proposed wind. We settled on a pitch by the sea edge behind some hedges!

On checking the facilities they were by far the best, cleanest, warmest and most fully equipped we have ever seen! Showers and toilets were immaculate, shop was extremely well stocked with everything you could ever need, great games room, TV lounge was cos, and it had brilliant dish washing and laundry facilities - all really roomy too to accommodate plenty of people at once.

The site was very well maintained and above all the people from the site who looked after us were really, really lovely.

So not a bad review for a family who only stayed around 16 hours of their 4 day holiday due to being caught up in the recent severe storms with 70 MPH winds and heavy rain! We did rescue our tent from too much damage after waking up at 6 in the morning to it nearly being ripped out of the ground but, 1 snapped pole and a ripped groundsheet will 100% not stop us from going back to this amazing site to enjoy it properly. If a caravan had been available we would have evacuated to that instead!

 Lovely site with amazing facilities.

We have used this site 3 times now, with one visit before the new facilities were built. Really enjoyed our visits here.

The site is beautiful, with stunning views over the bay, and the kids loved watching the Irish ferries coming and going.

The new facilities really are stunning, nearly new, and spotlessly clean and warm. We have never found a site to rival these facilities yet.

They are very strict about pitching, you must have the corner of your caravan or tent perfectly lined up with the post, and you aren't allowed to park aside your unit. When we left on the Monday, we asked if it would be possible to leave later than the specified 12 noon departure, and despite being the only touring customers there (ie only statics remaining, all caravans, tents and motor homes had left already) our request was received badly. I even offered to remove the van from the pitch and put it anywhere else they required, like in the car park. She said she would have so see if there would be anyone coming in who needed our pitch (the site was empty, other pitches were available!) and after spending ages in the office returned to me and submitted to my request grudgingly! All this despite having ok'd the time extension on the phone at the time of booking. We were willing to pay for the additional time if required. We only live an hour away from here, and we wanted to leave later to make the best of the day, rather than being forced to lose a day due to leaving at 12.

It's a shame really, because it truly is a beautiful site, with the very best facilities. Perfect too if you just need an overnight stay before catching the ferry.

Stunning location and views to die for!

The new showers and toilets were fab and plentiful.

The down side- couldn't get a signal on our tv, or theirs and no one to ask for help.

The staff were never anywhere to be seen, I guess they were busy, getting ready for Easter perhaps.

Same thing when we needed milk from the shop. It's supposed to be open 9-10. 30, but when we went there was a note on the door with a number to ring, and a message that we could go up to the touring van park if we wanted them, neither of which we felt like doing for a litre of milk!

You definitely need transport, if you want to visit nearby attractions as the site is secluded, and no bus route close by. However this was fine by me, plenty of lovely walks, and we were only staying two nights.

Great site with fantastic views and friendly and helpful staff, toilet facilities are excellent and the shop is small but full of useful items, you could pretty much turn up with no supplies and be able to stock up with food and drink at the shop.

As has been mentioned before the access road is narrow and twisty, we were lucky enough not to meet anything coming the other way while towing but there are passing places, for us it added to the character of the place, especially when you round the corner and the view of the site and the coast appears in front of you, cries of 'ooo and ahhh' from the passenger seats.

The site is fairly safe for kids, it's not as 'hangin on the edge of the cliff' as it appears in the photos, there is however a gate at the bottom of the site that leads to some second world war observation posts, these are starting to decay and this area, although interesting to explore could be quite dangerous for younger kids on their own, I think the site could do with some warning signs here or maybe lock the gate. The parts of the coastal path we walked along weren't to bad but there are patches that need care.

Unfortunately there is no access to any beaches directly from the site, there is supposed to be a cove approximately 30 minutes walk along the coastal path from the site but we never went there, it was to far for our 4. 5 year old to walk or be carried, there are some fantastic beaches in the area though if that's your thing, we went to Whitesand Bay at Newport, an excellent beach you can park your car on all day for £3 not to busy and only a few miles from the site.

Our touring pitch had its own hookup and tap and all the pitches were well spaced and not crowded, it is on a slight slope front to back though, you may need some blocks to put under your stabilising legs if they don't wind down far enough.

It's a great site to use as a base to explore Pembrokeshire for the kids there's swings and a slide, TV and small games room. We would definitely go there again.

What a Lovely site, the toilet and shower block was spotless, they had a great games room for the children and a tv room with sofas, also a great well stocked shop.

The park was really friendly and had lovely views plenty of places to walk and a pleasant harbour in the village, They offered an information room with loads of leaflets of the local area.

Only problem I had was that my tent was up to scratch and we had to leave a day early my fault.

The wind picked up and wanted to take my tent with it, Make sure you have rock pegs as the ground can be a little rocky when you try and peg down.

Overall, Fantastic site will visit again with a new tent. A must see site.

Stayed 1 night with our tourer. Stunning location with fantastic views. Facilities clean and modern and staff friendly and helpful. Free wifi is a nice extra. The views of Fishguard bay are to one side and up towards Dinas Cross the other.

Only downside is the 0. 6 mile single track approach road, but it does have a few passing points and the non driver could always wait at the end of the track and stop any vehicles coming the other way. The track is only used for the site.

In summary - stunning!
