I love this site! The location is just as perfect as you imagine it will be. We were pitched right on the cliff edge (the hedge/fence is very secure) from where the views were just fantastic and a clear line of sight to the 'playground'. Pitches are separated by hedges and planted borders, with some of the loveliest planting I have ever seen on a campsite.

The shop is very well stocked, with a decent range of groceries and good range of camping stuff too. The washing up facilities were good, with plenty of very hot water and the provision of microwave and a freezer for blocks. The toilets and showers were great, although if using them at predictable peak times there was sometimes a queue (why don't campers bring a mirror and put their make up on in their tent/'van? instead of occupying a sink for half an hour at a time). They were always clean despite it being peak season. I found the washing machine very effective, and the laundry room over all well laid out and thought through.

The owners were friendly and helpful, BBQs are allowed so long as they are raised off the ground and there is a take away in Fishguard that will deliver to the site!

Fishguard is a nice place for a 'potter' about and the somerfield stocks most things. There are huge supermarkets at Haverfordwest if you really need one, but we thought that the 'farmer's market' there was totally over-rated. There are loads of very good farm shops etc in the area if that's what you're into and I would recommend those instead.

The beaches in the area are just fantastic and the whole feel of the area is lovely, one of my favourite places on the planet. I love Newport, the Parog and Newport beach, St Davids, Whitesands Bay, the list goes on and on! And at the end of a day's doing whatever holds your interest, you return to a beautiful campsite to enjoy the views drink in hand!

We also visited this site in May 2008 to stay in a static. Although there are several of these on site, they are very discreetly placed for the most part and the site certainly doesnt give off that 'tenters are 2nd class citizens' air that often exists! The static was immaculate and very well equipped, far exceeding our expectations. So, if you have friends/family with an aversion to camping you can still all stay in the same place!

We arrived on the Saturday afternoon during the second Bank Holiday in May.

The seaviews from the site were fantastic and the facilities were excellent. The toilet block was very well decorated, modern and bright - it was kept spotlessly clean at all times, with plenty of showers, toilets and separate wash cubicles (Ladies). There was no extra charge for the use of the microwaves, which were kept very clean. The site was laie out with well kept lawns and borders. The shop was well stocked for all the essentials.

However after being there for only two days, out tent was damaged due to very bad weather. We had initially thought the worst of the weather was over and had gone out for a drive, only to come back to shock and horror at the sight of our tent - we found that the guy ropes down the side of the tent had been ripped away from the canvas and one of the poles supporting the front entrance had punched clean through the reinforcement at the eyelet. Can't say we are very happy, as the Outwell tent and dayroom next to us survived intact. We would have expected the Cabanon, as somebody said to us, "to be the last tent standing". We are very disappointed that a tent such as this succumbed to the the wind so easily!

Owners note: We have been a camping ground for 40 - 50 years, and yes, the weather has affected us rare occasions, as any site would have been over such a period. However, the vast majority of our customers have enjoyed camping in tents here and many come back year after year.

Arrived Thursday 3rd April to absolutely stunning weather and the scenery was absolutely outstanding. Virtually everywhere on this site has a view to the sea, the staff are helpful and the toilet blocks are modern and of good quality. We were allowed to choose our own pitch and despite the hill there are plenty of level parts. I have read about many campsites not taking groups of young people however our mixed group of 22-27 year olds was welcomed and we were not treated with suspicion.

We were warned by the campsite owner that the weather was due to change in the weekend and that we should find somewhere sheltered. We could not resist the temptation of having a sea view and found a relatively sheltered spot on the edge, however the winds came on Saturday and all hell broke loose. My tent was not destroyed however it was really pushed to its limits and was not a very nice place to be with the sides violently bulging in towards you.

On balance I would say that this is a fantastic Caravan site (statics and tourers). I say caravan site as this is what seems to be emphasised on literature and signs etc. This site is more suited to motorhomes and caravans I wouldn't take a tent here again outside of high summer. If we go next spring we'll probably hire one of the many lovely statics on site.

Note: Camping right on the cliff edge in a tent is naturally going to present some risk. The site owners did advise that the customer should find somewhere sheltered - there are many many sheltered spots on the site!

This lovely site is recommended. It is on a headland overlooking the sea, so ask for a pitch with a view. You can walk from the site straight out onto the coastal path.

The approach road is narrow with a few passing places.

There are a few hardstanding - recommended for motorhomes.

The toilets and showers are plentiful and new and kept immaculately clean.

The laundry has a washing machine, tumble dryer, spin-dryer and a free iron. I went early in the morning and never encountered a queue.

There is a well stocked shop, so there is no need to leave the site for essentials.

It's in an ideal location for exploring the north Pembrokeshire coastal area and the Preseli Hills.

An excellent find. We've just returned from a week at Fishguard bay and had a fabulous time. The owners are extremely helpful and the staff very friendly. Our tent was located in a very exposed position but the views are gorgeous - we watched the Stena ferry come in and out of port every day.

The new showers are toilets are very luxurious, lots of hot water (all free), even at the height of the season we didn't have to queue. Free hairdryers were an added bonus in this summer's weather! Only downside is the distance between the tents and the toilets if you do happen to be in the top field - we were the furthest tent away.

The dish-washing facilities were good, no shortage of hot water and a free freezer to pop your freezer blocks in (do remember to label them before you come) and a microwave which is a real bonus when you've small children or babies.

I never managed to get our washing done as there is only 1 washing machine at the site and there was a consistent queue due to the wet muddy weather.

The electric hook-up gave a continuous supply and pitches were all labelled on arrival.

Site well lit and brilliantly clean. Would definitely recommend to families looking for a quiet week away.

We found no problems finding the place but the road to the camp is abit small. The camp was very nice with superb views. The people were friendly and helpful. the mens  facilities were quite old but very clean and tidy. The ladies showers and toilets were brand new and excellent. Would recommend the camp to anyone.

We visited this site following recommendations from friends who found this site at Easter.
On the sites publicity brochure and on their booking confirmation letters there is no directions given to the site so it is a good job that we checked ukcampsite first as we could very easily have got lost.  As did a Dutch family who finally arrived in their motor caravan around 10:30 at night asking us if we could help them find their pitch.  Friendliness, that's what we like about camping.
The site is approached along a single track road and then an access road also single track, it is a good thing the site doesn't encourage early arrivals as the passing places are very small.
The site stands on the clifftop and is sloping, steeper in some places than others, although the site owners do segregate tents and caravans wherever possible, and they do allow pup-tents with caravans. The site also has a large number of static caravans, the majority of which are landscaped.
The toilet and shower block is brand new and is of hotel quality. As well as toilets blocks and washing up facilities dispersed around the site.  There is a well stocked site shop - which also sells essential camping equipment - with opening times variable according to the season. A very nice TV lounge with armchairs and settees (dated but clean), a tourist information room, laundry room with washing machine/tumble drier/iron operated by coin meters, pool table and video games room, and outside children's swing area complete the facilities.
This site is popular with foreign tourists, we counted at least 10 units from Germany and The Netherlands.
We will visit this site again, with our friends next time.
Fishguard is a quiet but busy town, famous for the unsuccessful invasion of Britain by France in 1797 and the Town Hall has a small museum to commemorate this fact.
The town has a small Somerfield supermarket but don't forget the old fashioned shops selling fresh meat, fresh fish, fresh vegetable and fresh bread, all sourced locally.
Fishguard is also the ferry-port for Ireland and day trips to Ireland - with or without a car - are not to be missed.  The campsite overlooks the ferry terminal and you can sit by your unit or on a bench and watch the Sea-Cat of Ferry arrive and depart, or just admire the view and watch the seabirds flying on the updraughts.

Spent a week at Fishguard Bay during May half term and it is without doubt, one of the best sites we have ever stayed at. The cliff top location is simply stunning and if you are as lucky as we were, you can view dolphins within the bay.

The facilities on the site include a very well stocked (and reasonably priced!) shop, games room (pool table, video machines), TV lounge and brand new shower and toilet facilities (with free hot water) which are maintained throughout the day and are spotlessly clean.

During the second day of our stay we experienced some atrocious weather conditions with 23mph winds and torrential rain. Due to the exposed cliff top location of the site, a number of tents were damaged or completely destroyed. However, the site owners were simply amazing! They provided assistance to many individuals throughout the day (including some running repairs to our tent), and provided caravan accommodation free of charge to a couple whose tent was completely destroyed. In my experience, it is rare to find site owners who are so accommodating and prepared to help.

If you want a great holiday park, very clean, well stocked shop and nice games room, great for families then go here.  Personally, I cannot recommend this site highly enough - but don't just believe me, go and see for yourself! I can assure you, you will not be disappointed.

Great site, loved the views of the sea from our clifftop position. Despite the exposed position of the site most pitches are sheltered on one side by a hedge. Prevailing wind seems to be offshore if that's any help.

Don't worry about the access road, it is no narrower than some of the unclassified roads in the area. Just watch out if u are towing - we weren't.

Facilities were great and the new ladies shower/loo block was opened whilst were there. My wife says they are very luxurious! Gents block to open 2007.

Shop was useful and open all day every day selling all the essentials. Nearest supermarket is Somerfield or CKs in Fishguard. Nearest camping shop in Haverfordwest (Millets) and Halfords etc.

TV room, games room and info room were all well kept. Kids enjoyed play area and sandpit on the field and made lots of friends.

Site has no direct beach access, but there are steps down to an old lookout post on the cliffs. For the walkers, a 1/2 hour walk along the Pembrokeshire coast path takes you to a secluded bay.

The number of staff in the shop give a less personal touch than some sites, but all in all friendly and a very professional outfit. Booking was easy and pitch was labeled for us on arrival. The pitch was a bit of a squeeze, so maybe worth requesting a bigger pitch than your tent size.

A great location, not many rainy day activities nearby, but a very picturesque part of the world.

Spent a week here. It's a lovely well kept site. Owners/staff were all very friendly and helpful. A fantastic shop that sells camping equipment too. Showers basic. Had to keep on pushing button to get water, but they were hot. Not too busy even 1/2 term. Great views and lovely sunsets. On the coastal path. Basic play area. About a 3/4 mile very narrow drive to site. Just pray you don't meet a car and caravan! Good fishing not far away. The children loved it and the owner was really friendly and helpful. Whitesands a great beach with brilliant rock pools. Would return again if closer. 5hrs drive from oxford with a stop. RECOMMEND.
