We called on spec and were lucky to be given a hardstanding pitch at the back of the facilities with a wonderful panoramic view. The young lady in the reception / shop was very helpful but we had difficulties finding the pitch she directed us to as they were not numbered.
We were most impressed with the spotless facilities, including heated toilet/shower block with privacy cubicles, a well equipped laundry with ironing facilities and an indoor washing up area with 2 microwaves and freezers for campers freezer blocks.
There is a small play area, a comfortable TV room, a well-stocked information room and a games room. The lane down to the site is very narrow, as other reviewers have mentioned but it caused no problems for our coach built motorhome.
The coastal path runs right through the site, but it is difficult to cycle out anywhere, which is something we like to do, so we moved on after 2 nights.
A well run site in a stunning location, which we would recommend.

Best site for views and bird watching, we had a hard standing pitch close to the site facilities, these were spotless, this was our fourth and last site in Wales after 14 days of hot sunny weather and the best so far.
We had Peregrine falcons flying around the cliffs when we were there. Very well run site and very friendly owners and staff. We will be back next year.

Arrived at about 1330 hrs and thought oh my god how am I gonna get down this road but I did. Just that if anyone comes the other way your in for it.
When you get over the rise and see the view its the best ever. What views.
The booking in was a breeze by Tim and he took me to my pitch and it was all down to me and the wife from there on and we were up and running in a couple of hours. Awning up the lot.
Went for a recce and there is a small shop for those essentials and they have some alcohol if you run out.
Toilets are simply spotless as are the shower and sink areas.
There is a wash room and laundry room so all in all its got everything you need.
No kids there when I was there so that was a blessing.
Would highly recommend this site.
Try the Indian restaurant in Fishguard its very nice.

We have just returned from five night holiday. This site is great for a number of reasons.
Firstly is it's location. It is perched up on the cliffs overlooking the sea, with Fishguard to the right and Dinas Head to the left, and the coastal path runs right through the site. The views are spectacular an the walk from the site to Dinas Head are just breathtaking.
We visited out of season so we were the only occupied touring caravan on the field which meant we could spread out as much as we wanted. Even so it is obvious that the pitches are generously sized, with each pitch having it's own EHU and water. There are also a couple of chemical toilet disposal points around the site so you don't have to walk too far.
The toilets/showers blocks are some of the best I have seen in this country. They are new, clean, and warm. There is a laundry room and an indoor area for washing dishes which was also equipped with a microwave and freezers.
The site is very well maintained. The lane leading up to the site is single track and fairly long, although there are passing places my heart was in my mouth when arriving and leaving with our van that we wouldn't meet someone else (reversing is not our strong point).
The area is lovely. The scenery on the coast is fabulous and some of the beaches seem to go on for ever.
This is an area of the UK that was never really on my radar of places to go.Its is now!

This campsite is at the end of a long lane, which we had to reverse into a passing place on, which was fun as new owners of our van. It was well worth it though. What a stunning location! I was impressed with the organisation. I booked less than a week before we turned up, and had the receipt and detail, in colour directions turn up amongst other things, virtually the next day. Upon check in I was handed a colour map of the site with my pitch marked on and directions on it. I was very impressed.
The facilities on site are excellent and spotless. There were only 4 ladies showers, of the push button variety, but they were fairly spacious. They could do with a few more hooks for towels / clothes though, to get round this most people seemed to place their clothes over the top of the doors. There was also a sink in a cubicle - perfect if you want a quick wash. There were lots of other facilities, but we didn't use them as we were in our van, but they looked good. We successfully used our tv for the first time - the analogue signal had been partially turned off, so BBC One, ITV and SC4 are available on analogue, and only the BBC channels are on digital. This will change on 16 Sept apparently, when all the analogue will be turned off.
If exploring this area again, I'd definitely stay here again.

Lovely site, with exceptional facilities - spotless showers and washing facilities complete with microwaves and freezer.
Not too big and plenty to do nearby and lovely views across the bay. Can recommend a walk around Dinas Head nearby and Newport village/beach which had a great butcher and nice cafes. St. Davids a nicer town than Fishguard though.

What a fantastic site! This has got to be the best site for views I have ever been to. You are right on the cliff so have far reaching views of the sea, you can even watch the ferries to Ireland come and go. The facilities are spotless, with plenty of showers and toilets. There is a small play area for children but can't really comment on it as I didn't have children with me. The owners are very friendly and are always around for a chat. Our tent pitch was lovely, very flat and we had plenty of room, in fact all the tent pitches are marked out so there should be no problem with overcrowding. The whole site is immaculately kept and all the wild flowers around make it a lovely site. There is a substantial amount of tourist leaflets and info available in a separate room and also a tv lounge and games room. The shop is well stocked and not too expensive. All in all a great site, very well managed with nice staff and I can thoroughly recommend it.

This is a stunning holiday site.
We were given a friendly welcome and helpful advice during our stay. There is an on site shop which is reasonably well stocked.
The views are fantastic and all pitches have a sea view.
There is something for everyone here, owned statics, statics for hire, seasons pitches, tourers, campervans, motorhomes & tents.
Cyclists & walkers using the coastal path ( which passes through the site ) and stopping overnight are well catered for with a TV lounge which is warm and friendly with a great supply of board games.
The TV & mobile phone reception was very good.
This site is a great place to meet international visitors to the UK.
The showers, loos and washing up facilities are warm with constant hot water and lovely shell type tiling giving a great holiday feel to the site.
This site is a must, don't miss it.

Now this has to be possibly the best campsite in Wales! That's if you want peace, tranquillity and views to die for. I had just come up from a few nights on the Gower Coast, what an extreme.
The site is immaculate, the facilities are very new and impeccably clean. The TV room looks like your favourite aunties living room. So if your a little homesick & need to catch up on your favourite TV soap then its just like being at home! There's also a games room with a pool table and arcade machine for the kids, or a small playground outside.
The scenery from the site is breathtaking, so is the walk or bike ride back up the hill to the main road. If you are on a mountain bike then its well worth the trip back down, great fun.
All in all Fishguard Bay is a superb retreat for a little rest. Thanks for such a wicked stay.

We stayed here on the last night of a long weekend in April. It was difficult to leave as the sun was shining and the the views were magnificent.
The road on to the site could be a little tricky for towing caravans or larger motorhomes. We didn't have a problem in our standard-sized van though.
As it was April it was really quiet. We found a spot looking back towards Fishguard with the back of the van backed up to the cliff edge and the hedgerow. This way we would wake up and look out of the window to the view.
The facilities looked very new, and as a result were very clean and spacious. There was literally no-one else in them on my morning visit. There's also a shop on site which looked well stocked.
I would definitely recommend this site, though I can imagine it being busy in peak times.
