The touring field was ok but with lots of service water on the hard stands, some places where quite bad,
Toilet and shower blocks where very very dirty, in fact they need pulling down and rebuilding to a decent standard. Lots of people where complaining, One evening My hubby went in the gents for a shower and in one of the cubicles someone had used it as a toilet!
When my hubby went back the morning after at about 9am the toilets and showers where still in the same bad state as the night before, we went home a day earlier
I would never go back to this site ever again!
I have give this a 4 out of 10 of overall rating only due to the dirtiness of the toilet and shower blocks,
Otherwise everything thing else not to bad!

Our family have been here 4 times this year with our touring caravan. We like the location because it is easy to get to and once we are pitched up we don't like to travel far. The pitches are not very wide and we went in school hols and when it rained the mud getting trailed into caravan was unbelievable. This is the only down side for us. However The grassy touring area is great for the kids to play on in the good weather. All amenities are good, although the toilet block could do with getting a upgrade as its very basic and can be dirty in high season. Staff are helpful, and the shows and kids entertainment are good. All in all its a lovely site, clean and well run. Well worth £50 pound for a school holiday for 5 days touring pitch.

We stopped here because, having intended to travel as far as York (from Inverness) on the first day of our holiday, due to strong winds, and the resulting enforced detours, we were too tired to go any further south. We were really pleased with this site, and particularly the price of £9. With all the facilities offered here, this is a great bargain. We had a very nice meal in the restaurant, although the football on the many tv screens wasn't to our taste, we enjoyed our evening in the bar. The site is nicely set out, with spacious pitches, and tarred paths to the main areas of activity. Although we were just over-nighting, we were impressed with the many activities on offer, especially the horse-riding, daisy bikes and indoor pool.
A great holiday for anyone with kids, providing they can circumnavigate the games machines on the way to the restaurant.
Very nice.

Booked 4 nights at this site. No touring office open when we arrived but did have a list on the window of names and allocated pitches. Eventually found pitch and set up caravan before going to reception to collect passes etc. Reception staff pleasant and welcoming. Decided to go to the entertainment complex that evening. The evening started at 5pm with bingo sales. Following bingo we had to sit through hours of young children's entertainment before anything remotely for adults came on. I am a parent and love doing things with the family (one reason we bought the caravan), but why on earth don't the entertainments staff put children's stuff on first at 5pm for say 2 hours and then think about older children and adults. My child of 12 was mortified at having to watch Rory the Tiger etc but was too tired to stay up to watch something he may have enjoyed.
The food on site is expensive. The touring section of this park is large and there is plenty of space, however the toilets and showers are dirty and full of mud, I feel for the cleaners who have to spend time cleaning up dirty nappies, toilet roll on the floor and just general untidiness before they can get on with cleaning the toilet.
We happened to be there when the grass was cut, and what a mess, it trailed in everywhere and the strimmer made surrounding awnings a nice green colour, much to the dismay of the owners.
Having used all my negatives on to the positive. The surrounding area is lovely and visit Alnwick Castle and Gardens well worth the money. Bambourgh Castle is worth a visit also and Seahouses is a quaint little seaside town with traditional fish and chips.

We hated everything about this site. I must admit we didn't really know what a Haven Park was and it was a big shock to us. We are a retired Australian couple touring around the UK. We chose this site as we wanted to visit Holy Island.
The site is mainly statics and the touring pitches were out the back. They are small pitches and overlooked on all sides. The toilet/shower block was dirty and the water was only just warm. The whole site was dirty with rubbish everywhere.
It was school holidays when we were there so I guess it is hard to keep clean with the volume of people. It is ideal for families with children that like 'manufactured' entertainment.
We did eat out at the Mash and Barrel. The food was quite good and the prices reasonable but it was very busy and noisy.
We did walk across the causeway to Holy Island and had a really nice day seeing all the sites.
We would not return here or any other Haven Park again. Far too noisy and dirty for us.

We stayed at Haggerston Castle for 7 nights, in our campervan, on an all service pitch with awning space. Price was £120 which we felt was excellent value for money.
The site is easily accessible just off the A1. The touring area was also well signposted and easy to find. No wait at all for check in, with pleasant and friendly staff and useful written information/maps. The touring area is a short walk from the main entertainment area. It was quiet at night, which suited us.
There are two toilet blocks on the touring site, each with toilets, showers, washing up area and chemical waste disposal. They were clean, plenty of hot water and perfectly adequate for our needs.
Our boys aged 7 and 5 loved the activities. We bought an 18 activity pass at booking which was well worth it. Loads for kids to do, swimming pool was always clean - sometimes a bit chilly - and we went there every day. Some of the activities they did were: swimming, turbo paddlers, aqua gliders, swimming lessons, inflatable fun pool sessions, archery, fencing, football, tennis, circus skills, wildlife walk, bike riding, golf, pony trekking and arts and crafts. The golf and the pony trekking were extra and not included in the passes. However, we did not allow them to play on the slot machines, a rule which they respected so we were more than happy to treat them.
Staff were friendly and helpful, and appeared to be working hard to clean, maintain and run the site.
One change that we would like to see is less noise in the area with the slot machines that you have to walk through to get to the swimming pool etc.
In conclusion, we had a great week and would happily go back.

Just returned from this site went on a super pitch this gives you loads of room with water and electric. Touring reception not open did not see a warden although security came round.
Nice site but toilets not cleaned very often showers good and as previous review now shower curtains fitted, although it seemed parents let there kids play in them.
Another down side is that kids play area is through the bar. Needs one in normal area and it may prevent playing in toilets.
The swimming pool is great but showers hot and no control to turn them down. Prices expensive on site, would possible go back but not in school holidays and tell them not to cut the grass near the awning as now my awning bedroom is covered in grass stains

We stayed here during the May bank holiday weekend. Getting to the site couldn't be easier it is signposted straight off the A1 just before you get to Berwick on Tweed.
There is a small hut where you collect your documents next to one of the toilet block. Booking in was straight forward and the staff seemed pleasant enough.
The park was clean and level with the majority of pitches being hard standing. There are 2 toilet blocks which were clean and warm, and 1 main water and waste point, although you can collect water from any of the unused super pitches, of which there were many.
The park is set in a forested area and is about 500 yards through the static caravan site to the main entertainment complex, which is typical haven, the staff were sickly sweet with the kids and the entertainment was plentiful.
Just away from the entertainment area is a stables which you can go for short ride on horses, they looked well set up and also had some shetland ponies there so the little ones could have a go, the minimum age is 3. I'm not sure if this is one of the haven attractions, as it is on the map but not promoted anywhere.
Additionally just up from the stables is a small establishment which does mug painting, there are als bouncy castles outside and a paint ball target practice area, a bit of a strange mix of attractions but I'm sure they're good at taking your money off you.
Beer & food prices were average to slightly expensive. Your nearest option out of the park was Berwick which is about 7 mile away, but we stayed clear, being bank holiday weekend it tends to get very congested.
All in all a good site with amenities close by. I would recommend for families with small kids.

We stayed here for three days from the 20th of May in our folding camper with awning. We had a large site with electric and water. The drain on our site was not in use so I made use of the one next door.
The facilities were good at most of my visits but they should clean them more often as there were lots of touring caravans and some people leave the toilets and dish wash areas in poor condition.
We were the only camper/trailer tent. The shop was well stocked, ok for basic requirements but pricey.
There are lots of things to do for families and some pleasant walks around the lakes. Lots of ducks for kids to see and feed. Too much to list so look at their website.
The main room had good entertainment but was packed, hard to find a table and long queue for bar. About 10 minutes to get served, Friday night. Can't be good at bank holidays.
The other room was nice and quiet with plenty of tables. The swimming pool area was very good. Lots of nice places to visit within easy reach of the campsite, see their website. We only paid £38 for 3 days. 5 adults and 2 little children.

After reading some of the reviews I was apprehensive to say the least about this site! We booked 6 nights over Easter for a fab price on an all service pitch.
The all service pitches were fine, they were concrete and water some had waste, they were spaced out more than the smaller pitches and it was pleasant.
The showers/toilets were dirty at times but that was due to the dirty people who left them in that state! The site couldn't keep up with cleaning them, they were fine most of time and the site was full.
This site is a very big busy commercial site so if your looking for peace & quiet don't go here! If however, you have children to entertain then its perfect.
The pool complex is the best I have seen on any Haven site and very clean. The outdoor decking area is also pleasant and the sites facilities were good.
The only gripe I would say is the main clubhouse is small for the size of site, people go in there at 5pm to get seats! The pub area is huge and quieter with the usual TVs and pub grub / leather chairs.
The kids playground is also very good. My children went horseriding on site it was good value at £15 for 2hours they got a photo with that and really enjoyed it.
The area is stunning the beach at Spittal is lovely with free parking and a play area on the prom. Berwick is a typial town with shops, we did the castle wall walk around the harbour which was nice. Holy Island and Lindesfarne is closeby and worth a visit and we did Hogwarts Alnwick Castle complete with Hagrid and the characters from Harry Potter (loved it!)
We were pleasantly surprised with this area, it is quiet in comparison to Devon/Cornwall the traffic is great, parking is either free of very cheap for the day, the coastline is stunning and as good as Devon.
We would definitely visit this area again and would come back to this site due to the facilities. We were lucky with the weather as the sun shone the whole time but beware of the east breeze its cooler on this coast than other places so take your fleeces!
There is also a huge outdoor shop a couple of miles away that sells caravan stuff/camping etc and gas and Tescos/Asda close at Berwick which is approx 4 miles away, the shop on site sells everything and not bad prices.
I would recommend this site for its pool facilities, don't expect the touring area to be 5star as it isnt but it was excellent value for money and we loved it.
