My husband and I (and our cat!) stayed at this site as we wanted somewhere close to home (Leeds) to try out our new campervan for one night. The site is basic but clean, with good views and adequate space for setting up camp.

There is a narrow, potholed path leading to the site, which is not a problem if you drive slowly and there is no oncoming traffic. We stayed during a quiet weekend so we did not meet anyone coming the other way.

The warden was friendly and welcoming and gave us a guide sheet with the rules of the site, all of which seemed reasonable, ie Keeping the noise down at night, 5mph max speed etc. He drove around the site every once in a while, which I personally did not feel was a problem but my husband thought it was a bit unnecessary. We were warned on arrival before we paid that electric hook-up can only be used for low powered items such as lighting and definitely no heaters.

As we stayed for less than 24 hours we did not use the laundry facilities or shower. The showers are unisex and it looks as though there is very little space in each cubicle to change but room to change in a communal area if you're not shy! The toilets are in the same block and are quite spacious so you could just pop on a bath robe and change in there with some privacy. The toilets were clean and well stocked with toilet roll and paper towels, although there were very few people using them when we stayed.

The fresh farm eggs were delicious! All different sizes and colours in one box. I wish we had bought more to bring home!

We don't have children but for those who do, there is a playground in the middle of the motorhomes / caravan field so it would be easy to keep an eye on them.

It's about a half hour walk downhill into Baildon village, where there is a smallish Coop and newsagent. There are also a couple of restaurants/takeaways but we didn't try them as we were trying out our own facilities. The walk back was challenging as it was windy and exposed walking up the steep hill to the site. If on foot do make sure you have comfortable shoes and a hat/scarf/earmuffs to protect you from earache if it is windy!

We cant believe that this site has gone from our absolute favourite to one we will never visit again.

We were told £15 no matter whether a motorhome or tent our daughter was charged £19 per night for a tent with no electric.

We asked if we could use an awning we were charged £15 per night by the owner then the warden came the next day and asked for another £5 per night very confusing.

We were then followed by the warden as we had walked into a private part of the site. A beautiful site is being ruined by complete pettiness.

We stayed at this caravan park last weekend on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd. We have not been here for a while and it is as lovely as ever.

It is a lovely park, friendly wardens, helpful owner, lovely clean toilets and beautiful views.

We walked for miles round and about with the dogs.

The breakfast at the cafe was really good, helpful young man in there.

We did have a bad night on the Friday as there was a loud party in the field below us, by the camping cabins, who were extremely loud and raucous until about two in the morning, when the owner had to go down and ask them to be quiet. The next night was not much quieter from them either, we will have to go mid week in future when it is a bit quieter!

We enjoyed our stay and will be back, hopefully without the loud people from over the Border!

All in all good site, bit of a bumpy road, but that is apparently an on going repair job.

The toilets are Unisex, but that did not bother us, they were lovely and clean, and free!

Stayed here over the May Spring Bank holiday weekend 2011. To say it's 'exposed' is an understatement! If you're planning on going to this site do check the wind reports before hand. Our van was rocking away - even saw two awnings wrecked while we were there. No fault of the site, but just thought ought to mention its very exposed.

This site has the potential to be a nice site but is let down by the amount of long term storage vans in the main camping area. They just look an eyesore and it feels as though you're staying in a compound, rather than on top of a moor with amazing views.

Can't really fault the toilets as they were ok, clean, if a bit dated. Didn't use 'communal' showers as others mentioned. Our big issue was the mains (EHU) on the site. Kept going off and stayed off over one complete night!

Warden/site owner tried all sorts to fix it, inc getting electrician. Had to run water heater/fridge etc off gas overnight and NO TV OMG! Bit poor for it to be off for so long really and no offer of refund for lack of supply.

This site was only ever a temporary spot for us to do some jobs on the van, rather than do them at home, so to be fair was ok. But had I travelled miles I'd be a little disappointed.

Sort out the EHU, and move the storage vans into one area away from the tourers, and this could be a lovely site.

We just spent a lovely long bank holiday weekend in a Camping Cabin at Dobrudden.

My Husband and I and our 2 young children had a very relaxing time and found the Cabin owner and Site wardens helpful and very friendly.

Once we made it up the track, quite bumpy, we found ourselves on the beautiful sunny moorland, very much worth it!

The cabins are very clean and sweet, and the beds a welcome comfort for a 'Camping' experience. Very handy to have plugs!

We found the site facilities well kept and clean and we enjoyed a fab breakfast at the cafe and a charity cake break on site sorted us out for lunch!

Great Value, fabulous settings, friendly people!

We have just returned from a long weekend and were very impressed with the location of this site. Ron the warden was extremely helpful and the cafe which opens at a weekend served an excellent breakfast.

The down side to the site was the unisex showers which I really couldn't get to grips with and also the level of cleanliness of the toilet block in general. Soap and toilet paper ran out over the weekend and they were not cleaned until the Monday morning as we were leaving.

This really let the site down but we would give it another go in the future as overall it was in an ideal spot and very good value for money at £10 a night for 2 of us.

This is a lovely place for camping with panoramic views and good camping ground. Very friendly and helpful wardens. Excellent breakfasts in the on site cafe (sadly on weekend mornings only) but well worth a visit or two.

The long rough track to the site is not a problem even in a very laden car, just take it slowly.

The shower block is the only negative in an otherwise idyllic site. The toilets were not maintained adequately during our stay, which in fairness I feel was probably only a temporary oversight. The toilet bowls and basins needed a thorough daily clean with toilet paper and soap properly replenished. The unisex showers are a considerable problem and our teenagers would not even consider venturing there. The problem is the communal changing area - as changing cannot be achieved within the shower cubicles. One solution would be to erect shower curtains as an extension to the cubicles or to have ladies only and gents only time slots for us sensitive souls who value our privacy. Hooks are needed on the shower doors also.

If the site can achieve a better shower block then I could not fault it. I will return to the site as the positives more than compensate for the awkward showering arrangement.

Lovely stay overall thank you. Good walking in all directions and plenty to do in the immediate vicinity.

Spent 2 days at dobrudden last month. What a lovely site, very friendly warden(peter), eager to help where he can. Weather was lovely which always helps. We enjoyed it that much we are going again this weekend and this time we are going with friends who are first time campers but I'm sure they are going to enjoy it.

The only downside is the peacocks who are very loud but you forget about them after a while.

Beautiful site and highly recommended.

Just got back form Dobrudden, we had a fabulous time, lovely views well kept campsite. The wardens were very helpul and made us feel very welcome. Very reasonably priced which makes a change these days as most campsites seem to have raised their prices. Cafe is really clean and does a good bacon sandwich.

If I was to find fault it would be with the showers, I don't mind unisex if you had somewhere to get changed but unfortunately there is not enough room in the cubicle so you do have to quickly throw your clothes on and hope no one comes in. But despite this had a lovely time and will definitely go back.

Great campsite, like the idea that families are separated from other campers e.g. couples or parties of teens. We live local and only came to try our new tent out but will be back, lovely to see the chickens, ducks and cat wondering around the site!

If you enjoy walking and looking at beautiful scenery this is the place for you although I am sure it can be wild on the moors if it isn't a lovely summers evening!

The toilets are locked and you are given a key on arrival. As we arrived late we borrowed our son's key so no hardship although had we been on our own I am sure we would have been given a key and made to pay when we arrived although we were left to put our tent up and pay the following day before we departed. Once you have unpacked your car you need to park it outside the site in a small car park.
