What a cracking little camp site! We camped here on the recommendation of some friends and we weren’t disappointed. This is a very well kept site, the grass is neatly trimmed, and the toilet block is immaculate. As we camped in March we were glad of the heating in the toilet/shower block and the showers have a good pressure. There is a dishwashing area, elsan disposal, and laundry facilities. There is also a small shop but this does not open until 1st April. It is best to book as the site only use the 4 hard standing pitches during the winter. The site owners are really friendly and helpful, and they have a leaflet of walks from the site available. We walked into Looe from the site (about 3 miles ish), and some of us had a taxi back as it is all up hill on the way back. There is also a nice walk to Seaton. We will definitely return to this site.

My wife and I have just returned from a short break at this site and I feel moved to write a review. It is probably the best small site that we have stayed on in 30 years of camping/caravanning. The owners have created such a beautiful, peaceful little haven in this corner of Cornwall. We were greeted by the owner and she truly could not have been more hospitable. The facilities are of a very high standard and kept spotlessly clean and warm. This is a small site and I very much hope that it will remain so, we shall certainly be returning. Thank you both very much for making our short stay so enjoyable. All the best for the future and we look forward to seeing you again. Max and Shirley Danby.

We stayed at this site for 8 nights in August, we arrived in a torrential down pour after what felt like a few days driving and were met by the owners who had keys, information and pitch all ready and waiting upon which I then loaded up with water and reversed into the gutter on the toilet block :-) The owner came out and helped me put it back together and said don't worry, get pitched up and get a good sleep.
We had two teenagers with us who spent the week going to the beach, biking around and generally exploring the area which is quiet and lovely but with Looe only 45 minutes walk or 20 min bike ride away then crab fishing kept them busy.
The owner and his wife were fantastic all week, keeping the lads updated with places to go, putting food on a tab and looking out for them.
This site is the cleanest and best we have been to ever, the shower and toilet block is like a 5 star hotel which is cleaned every day immaculately all the facilities are kept on top form daily, grass and hedges cut, its just perfect with amazing walks all around.
Hook ups and hard standing plots, all kept spotless and clean.
Beaches nearby, walks, if you have a car go to Looe and Fowey which are close by get some crab fishing in as well.
I would go back again and again with no concerns, we are very particular when it comes to sites they have to have great facilities, quiet no idiots allowed and be in a good place to get and out about and this one has it all.
Cant praise it enough and it made our week in Cornwall awesome.
Go there if you are heading to Cornwall a definite must visit site.

I fell in love with this campsite as soon as myself and my partner stepped foot on it. I said ready to book for next year? before we had even set up! The nicest and most well looked after site I have ever visited, and we do a lot of camping.
We stayed in our tent without hook-up and was very hot weather, however the owners were very accommodating at freezing our ice blocks for us.
The toilets were immaculate! The site was very peaceful. Can't wait to go again, planning a visit for September 2014 in the caravan now.

We have just returned from a 10 night stay at this beautifully maintained site. The toilet/shower facilities are modern and kept exceptionally clean, the site shop has got everything you could need. The site owners are very helpful and friendly. There are lots of things to do and places to visit in the area. Its one of the most peaceful camp sites we've ever been on. All in all the site is a credit to it's owners hard work and we will be returning.

Just returned from a long weekend and I cannot speak highly enough about Polborder and its owners, from the friendly welcome to the help we were given when we had problems with our van they just cannot be faulted.
The site is exceptionally well kept with all the pitches are fairly level and there are several hard standings, the facilities block is modern, heated and spotlessly clean.
We were given a map which showed all the walks in the local area and although a lot of the Coast Path is currently closed due to landslips there are still plenty of path's and lanes available, Looe takes approximately 1 hour 20 minutes and Seaton 30 minutes where there is a Cafe and pub, you can walk along the beach to Downderry as long as the tide isn't too high!
We're definitely looking forward to our next visit!

Have just stayed at this site for a week with our caravan our friends also stayed as well. What a great site great pitches and lovely views weather was mixed but that is the same were ever you go.
The owners were lovely people nothing was to much trouble the showers and toilets were lovely and clean all the time.
Will definitely be going back there, can recommend the granary to eat the sunday carvery was the best we've ever had.
It's not to far to go into Looe, we visited the Eden project well worth a visit and also St Issac, be warned it's a killer walk back to the car park not for the faint hearted but well worth a visit.

Once again an excellent stay at Polborder. Facilities second to none, owners second to none, location superbly tranquil.
The shop is small but more than adequate. It has everything you may need like tea, coffee, milk bread, newspapers and much more. Even down to a water pump when ours packed up on the first night of our first visit, and at very reasonable prices.
The approach road is a little tight for a large outfit, but hey, it's Cornwall, most sites are tight to get into, and this one is well worth the effort.
Can't wait for July 2013 as we've booked a 2 week stay. It's a good base for visiting any part of Cornwall.

This has got to be one of the best campsites we have stayed on. Level (well as near as you will get on a campsite on a hill) well maintained. The owners are so friendly. Fresh baked bread every day. Very clean facilities. A small shop on site. Quiet campsite. No football allowed - a real bonus if you want a quiet holiday. Our only disappointment was out of the owners control and that was the weather - it rained almost solidly for 5 days. But the ground showed no signs of flooding and the wash block was cleaned at least twice a day. The owners deserve to be full all season. Would deff go back if in Cornwall.

Quite possibly one of the nicest sites you will stay at. It a smallish site meaning not a lot of children running around. However, the site has been beautifully laid out. Nice pitches separated by well looked after trees/boarders. The plots have been well looked after. The toilets here are definitely the nicest we have ever seen on a campsite. Very 'designer' furnishings. Only problem with toilets was light was bit too dark - could cope, but better lighting would have been better. We paid £19. 50 a night which was well worth it. Can walk to Looe, but takes about 50mins on the coastal path - taxi was £9 each way and a lot easier than the walk! Reception was really nice and v helpful. Only problem with site was that our pitch was on a slight dip (about 4%) and unfortunately it knocked out fridge out as the gases moved around (our fault though as we didn't have the bits to level the motorhome wheels out) The site was down a bit of a single-track lane but lots of passing points. We met a car coming the other way and no worries with them pulling over. Would deff stay here again (not much for children here though. Means its quiet though!)
