What a find. Polborder is wonderful site and one that I would be happy to recommend to others.
Site is level, well kept and pitch facilities are nice. Hook-up, hard standing water etc. The toilets and showers are clean and spacious. A key is distributed on arrival that allows 24 hour entry.
Owners are very pleasant people, I get the feeling that nothing would be too much trouble.
Location is good with easy access by car to The Monkey Sanctuary (an interesting day out!). There is a pub/restaurant in walking distance but that is it. Travel to Looe really requires a car/ taxi.
Hope to return soon.

Having visited many sites, this is by far the best! We had a fabulous week this August and were made to feel welcome immediately. The picthes are spacious and private, the showers & toilets are oustanding, the shop is like aladdin's cave. If you couldn't see it, they'd find it for you.
The laundry, washing up area, bins, water pipes etc were excellent and also the grounds. Many shrubs were placed to enhance the area. When we arrived, our ehu didn't work and they checked it for us and hired us on that did work (phew) for £7 a good price we thought in our predicament. Then our main tent light broke and they had a new bulb, finally the hair straighteners stopped working and they had a fuse! Not our week electrically, but every problem was sorted. Thank you!
The campsite owners are friendly and helpful. They run a relaxed but efficient site with the aim to keep visitors happy. The small but well stocked play area was used by other children and even though we were close, it didn't get rowdy. A lovely quiet site in the evening.
No matter what time we wanted a shower, we never had to queue. Always clean and fresh. You have a shower block key which is a great idea. A) it stops children running in and out as part of a game b) it maintains camp safety day and night.
This is a first class site and we intend to visit again.
Follw the advice about avoiding seaton when arriving as it is a narrow road. The Grannary is well worth a visit. The surroundings, food and staff are wonderful.
Places to visit. Looe, Polperro, Fowey and many more.

This was our second visit to this site and won't be our last, the site is well laid out, benefits from a modern (recently refurbed) toilet / shower block, has washing and laundry facilities, a children's play area and on site shop. Is set in beautiful peaceful surrounding's and is owned by a really warm, friendly and helpful couple
The site is within walking distance of looe, polperro is only a short drive away as is the local 'morrisons' if you gotta shop,
Other local places of interest are a monkey sanctuary, walking distance from site, a really nice restaurant 'the granery' again walking distance from site. A little further afield is the rugged coastal area of whitsands bay.
In short polborder house camping park is a top notch little site well worth a visit which my wife and I can highly recommend

We rented a static which was very clean and well presented and situated on a spacious pitch. My two dogs were welcome too and without being charged a surcharge. There isn't a dedicated dog walk but the lanes surrounding the campsite are quiet and there's always the coastal footpath, a few minutes drive away.
This campsite is small and quiet and seems to be popular with caravanners although I did see a few tents. The showers and loos are very modern and plush and very clean.
Situated a few minutes drive from Looe amongst farmland, if you want a peaceful holiday, this is the place. A few minutes walk from the site takes you to the Granary restaurant which serves good food and wine - very convenient.
There is a tiny play area for tots but not other facilities for older kids or teenagers and this suited us just fine! I would say in holiday season, you would have to book as the site was very popular and there wasn't many vacant pitches during our stay.
Highly recommended.

Visited this site as a couple.
The site is absolutely immaculate!
The facilities never looked they had even been used before. The showers and toilets really did put a few hotels I have stayed in to shame. Even when the site was quite busy and it had been raining.
The owners could not be friendlier.
It is an easy drive into Looe and Polpero and we had a few walks on the coastal path which is quite easy to access down the single track road.
Also upon arrival we received a discount voucher the Grannary Restaurant round the corner. Which I would recommend for anyone who enjoys good honest local food well cooked in a nice setting.
Overall a fantastic site for us.

An excellent site! Would definitely recommend this site to anyone going to the Looe region at Cornwall.
We visited during the winter months of Dec 2009, and was greeted by the friendly and helpful couple running the site. I was told on booking that the toilet block was under refurbishment during our stay, and was surprised that the site owner opened up the toilet and shower designated for the disabled for us to use. This might be due to us being the only visitors on site.
We would definitely go back and perhaps stay longer on our next visit.
Only point of advice is call the site owner and get the EXACT direction to the site before starting your journey or follow the direction given on the website (best print out a copy). We set the post code on Tom Tom, and was brought through some single track lanes not fit for a normal car and a caravan.

Lovely clean, well looked after site. Very friendly owners. Made use of the picnic tables that were freely available for use (good idea as we don't have a lot of space inside our van).
Used the Granary restaurant, good food, large portions.
Walked along the coastal path for quite a few miles, fantastic views but can be demanding in places if you are not a 'walker'.
Would use this site again as it is local to some friends in Looe.

We stayed at this site recently just in a tent, and it was really lovely. The owners were helpful and very friendly. The site was wonderfully clean, and the facilities there were in good repair and condition. There was a small shop that was open at selected time, but they opened up for new arrivals.
The local coastal village of Seaton, that we would recommend driving to rather than walking, has a lovely cafe on the front, which served great food too.
Only problem was we couldn't stay another night :-)

Site is located up a very narrow lane, which can cause problems if towing and meeting something large coming in the opposite direction. Found this site to be mainly catered for Caravans, most of which are permanently pitched.
Childs play area is small and only suited for 3-8 year old children, nothing for older children to occupy themselves, and space is limited as owners use every inch for pitches.
Facilities were cleaned once per day, and weren’t cleaned thoroughly, there was only 4 showers (free hot showers).
Overall, This campsite doesn’t seem to be very child friendly and not suitable for large tents; so I wouldn’t want to be staying here again.

Good points: The campsite was very nicely landscaped and clean. Owners very friendly and helpful. Music playing in the shower was uplifting in the mornings. Pretty quiet apart from the odd car going past.
Bad points: Facilities basic - clean but toilets extremely small and I am a small person! and no soap dispensers in the toilets. The facilities in my opinion are average, my expectations were high after reading the site is 4 star rated and especially after paying a higher rate per night. Our pitch turned out to be next to the road which disappointed me.
