Stayed at this site at Easter great welcome and owners helpful with a sense of humour.
Good location if you like walking we did the coast path both ways with our 8 and 10 year olds and walked into Looe one day.
The toilets were spotless and modern, the shop stocked the essentials and the site was well laid out with good sized pitch we had hard standing which was useful as it did rain a bit.
Had a good meal at the restaurant down the road which was in walking distance.
Road to the site a bit narrow but no major issues, our van is 6. 5 m long.
Would we go again absolutely yes.

If you want a top quality, quiet and fantastically well kept site look no further. We were touring around the area and stopped in just for one night. Due to the idyllic surroundings, quality of the site and brilliant owners we changed all our plans to stay an additional night.
The showers and toilet block would not be out of place in a five star hotel. The pitches and hardstandings are very generous in size and immaculately kept along with the whole site. The lane to the site is narrow but no problem with care. One of the best sites we have ever stayed on and brilliant value for money - thanks for our stay.

We wanted to get away for a quite off season break and phone up the day before we wanted to go. The response was very helpful and welcoming. We found the place easily - last little way the road was quite tight be not an issue for a medium sized MH. The welcome was excellent. Good pitches and facilities were of a very high standard indeed. It is a bit out of town but we walked to the coast path and along it each day and really enjoyed the stay. From the coast it can be a bit 'uphill' to get back but it was our choice to walk. We would go back again definitely

Brill site! The loos/shower room had a key to get in which was great. They were so clean and it was so nice to walk in even on your own and have the radio on in the background. They have free hairdryers and showers Washing up facilities were outside and undercover with hot water.
If you go into Millendreath there are coastal walks to Seaton Around 2 1/2 miles, Then walk back on the Seaton to Polporder via Keveral walk. That was more flatter and lovely. Be careful though on the narrow roads. (ask the owners for the map 'Welcome to Bucklawren' that they gave to me. It is really helpful)
There is also a walk once again fron Millendreath to the right signposted into Looe. Which is a lovely fishing village. You can walk into Polperro and then get the bus back but go into the tourist info and get the bus timetable in case it has changed.

We stayed for 3 nights in August, we would have stayed longer but it was very popular and fully booked. A lovely peaceful site with fantastic views and helpful and friendly owners.
The facilities were great - modern and clean.
A short drive into Looe itself with the beach/shops/cafes and restaurants. The area had everything we needed for us and our 2 small children.
Fresh bread baked on site each morning and newspapers could be ordered. We also took the short 5 min walk down the lane to the Granary which is a lovely restaurant. Couldn't fault the site and will be booking to go back again!

Stayed at Polborder twice during 2011.
Easily the best campsite I have stayed at. Although a little off the beaten track, the location is quiet and this is also the very nature of the site. Takes no more than 10 minutes to get to looe and a fish and chip shop 'Coddy shack' 2 minutes drive away offers the best fish and chips I've tasted.
Since this isn't a massive site it is calm and relaxing.
The owners are very helpful and friendly and it is clear they take pride in their site.
The toilet block is super clean, you could literally eat your dinner off the floor!
I fully enjoyed my time at the site and would definitely recommend and consider this in the future. A gem in Cornwall!

We stayed here for just short of a week and we loved the camp site so much so we are going back this year. The owners are fab so helpful and pleasant. They booked us taxies and advices us on places to go which was really useful.
Only bad thing is the trek into Looe it's self, but this can't be helped, plus there are no campsites nearer and it is very peaceful.
Excellent facilities, we asked for more light in the ladies and we got straight away, really clean camp site, one of the best by far :)
Could possibly have more recycling bins!

Very nice site, well maintained with pleasant and helpful owners. The site is basically split into two areas, the upper field has five static caravans and numerous tourers, while the lower field appears to have some seasonal pitches, and is mainly occupied by tents. The toilets and showers are extremely clean and modern, but the lighting is quite poor.
Dogs are allowed on leads, but there were three roaming in the lower field, making it difficult for us to leave ours out on a tether. Access to the site is a little tight, pitch sizes are quite good with nice hedges enclosing two pitches at a time. Not far from Looe in a car, but too far for is to walk.
In summary, a lovingly maintained site, but our feeling is it is overpriced for the facilities offered, costing £34 a night for 4 adults. Granted the toilets and showers here are immaculate, but not sure they justify the extra cost.

What a beautiful little site!
We are still on our Easter weekend visit to the site and it is (almost) perfect.
The site is fairly small with around 30 odd pitches but this, in my opinion, is a bonus. The facilities are very good and spotlessly clean. The welcome we were given on arrival was very cheery and the couple that run the site are extremely accommodating, helpful and friendly. The grass areas are immaculately kept and the pitches are pretty big to boot, although most are on a slight slant (but not too much to worry about).
The site is in a very rural area about 4 miles outside Looe itself and because of this it is very quiet indeed at night time. The lanes leading to the site are fairly narrow country lanes but as long as you are careful it is easy to get to (there are some pretty large campers and caravans here at the moment.
Looe is a 5 minute drive from the site so pretty easy to access although you would have to be a fairly hardened walker to walk there and back as there are some pretty steep hills on the way!
The rates are competitive and the on site shop stocks all of the essentials (they even asked if we wanted newspapers in the mornings).
There is a small play area for children and the pitch 'fields' are plenty big enough for the little ones to cycle around and play ball games etc.
My only criticism of the site would be that the extremely modern and well kept toilet/shower blocks are a little dark inside. There are ceiling downlighters in there but my wife found it a little difficult to put on make-up etc, and when you go in there on a bright sunny day it can take a moment for your eyes to adjust.
A lovely site all round and well recommended by us, we will certainly come back again

Long weekend; 1st visit but will definitely be returning. Family of 4: 2 boys aged 9 and 11 and 1 dog. Very friendly welcome, willing to help with any problems. Level site, immaculately kept, quiet and relaxing position. Toilet/shower block very clean, warm and roomy. Bit tricky navigating some lanes in the area with Motorhome but plenty of local places to visit. Enjoyed Looe, Seaton, Polpero, Foye and only short drive to Liskeard with big supermarkets etc. Ideal position for exploring area and can't wait for next visit. Would recommend.
