Just returned from 9 nights at this lovely site.
Be prepared for traffic on Norfolk's roads, we found bottlenecks at every roundabout and generally slow moving traffic through the whole area from Peterborough to Hunstanton to Norwich! Probably just peak season holiday traffic but seemed to be every day/ all day! This was fine once we got used to it and allowed for it!
Once on site beware some pitches are sloping! the shop sells levelling wedges if you get caught out.
The 2 toilet blocks were clean enough and well appointed, only queuing for showers briefly at peak times.
Nice walks through the woods, we walked to Sandringham House although couldn't follow the directions given by the site on their literature - sort of found our own way following the wide grass verges of the roads. The grounds of Sandringham were beautiful and the museum very interesting but we felt the house was disappointing, very small number of rooms open and the most interesting bit being the photo exhibition of The Queen through her reign. Nice gift shop, plant shop and refreshments available at the car park (don't have to have ticket to visit these!)
We ventured to Hunstanton and much preferred the lighthouse beach at the far end (Old Town) than the commercialised south beach.
We went to Norwich - too far for a day trip in my opinion but a very nice city - they appear to be rubbish at signposting their park and rides though so beware.
A much better day was a bus trip to Kings Lynn. Catch the bus just opposite site entrance and within half an hour you are at the bus station. Nice shopping and lovely waterside area. Hourly buses and less than £10 return for a family of 4!
The Feathers Pub in Dersingham is worth a visit with a great garden.
All in all very quiet and well maintained site, despite it's size.

Just returned after a week here. Site is situated well on the Sandringham Estate within comfortable walking distance to the house and gardens - 30 to 45 mins. There's a very nice Social Club an easy walk from the site at Babbingley. You can expect a very friendly welcome here and a relaxing evening with a drink or two.
Facilities are all you would expect from a Caravan Club site. Wardens are friendly and approachable, although slightly hampered by the latest Caravan Club dictate about the positioning of vans on pitches. Given pitches are generous, seems overly officious to require all vans to be parked in the same way - makes me wonder whether customer service is considered at all when setting this kind of rule.
Otherwise a very pleasant stay.

Nice site, very busy over the bank holiday weekend. Nice area for walking and sight seeing. Extremely helpful staff.
Well that was a quick potted overview about our experience. We were going to stay for 4 nights but it was fully booked. We had planned to visit Sandringham House which I have to say was very good value for money and a lovely place to visit. Well recommended. There are some excellent walks in close proximity to the site.
We drove round the coast to the caravan club site at Incleboro near Cromer, another good site

Visited during half term which was also Halloween. Site generally entering into spirit with trick or treat and competitions for the children.
Almost all of the site was hardstanding which was appreciated at this time of the year
Facilities were good particularly when we realised that the shower block closest to the reception was the most up to date and provided hot showers with good pressure.
Location was fine but during the week we were looking to tour a lot of the N Norfolk coast and realised that something more central, perhaps near Fakenham, would have been more convenient.
We have two dogs and whilst we were aware of the problems with seasonal canine illness before arriving. It was suggested when walking the dogs in the forest that they be kept on the lead and their face and paws washed following the walk. This was a little frustrating for both me and the pooches who love to charge about.
All in all very good.

Very spacious pitches can be found on this Caravan Club site situated on the edge of Sandringham Estate. The actual Sandringham ‘house’ is actually 2 miles from the site – so not within easy walking distance?
BUT a major problem exists within Sandringham Estate to dog owners between mid-August – November with Seasonal Canine Illness (CSI) that proves fatal to dogs if not treated immediately by a Vet.
The Animal Health Organisation (AHO) is aware of this problem, since 2009. The AHO do not know what is causing the CSI but suspect this may be bacterial and acknowledge other wildlife (wood pigeons) have also been found dead with no established reasons in this area.
Look at the official Sandringham web site and follow he link to AHO and the CSI problem in this area. Having had concerns I contacted the AHO and they state (quote) that ‘dead wood pigeons are the problem of the Institute of Zoology. The IoZ have conducted post mortem examinations on these birds, and so far have not found anything conclusive. The AHO is working with a collaborative group called WILDCOMS (Wildlife Disease & Contaminant Monitoring and Surveillance network). The reasoning behind this collaborating is that if anything unusual is reported to WILDCOMS in the areas we are investigating they will inform the AHO. At the moment, the AHO haven’t had any reports from them’.
The Caravan Club has been maintaining a low key approach to these problems.
Ignoring the CSI problem (!), plenty of good walks (without dogs!) in the area, cycling routes (avoid unexpected falling dead pigeons from trees!), this is a very good location with an open spacious site.

What a lovely site. For those of you that have been it is very similar in layout and surrounding wooded areas to Clumber Park. Super, big, mainly level pitches, mostly hard standing.
The lower toilet block is very modern with wet room style shower cubicles which seemed more spacious than other club site toilets.
A little road noise but this was no big deal. The site is a ten minute drive into Kings Lynn and 20 minutes into Hunstanton (seaside town). Be sure to visit Wells and take a day boat trip on the broads from Wroxham, also Norwich, which is beautifully historic, fashionable and vibrant city.
We spotted several deer in the forest which was lovely. Bit of a problem with midges, so if you are affected by bites, pack a zapper.
We will definitely return.

Just spent a week at Sandringham, superb, could not fault it, the site wardens, and location all brill the site was easy to find plenty to do and see.
If its beaches and space you look for, its in abundance. If its peace and quiet no problem The shop between the caravan club site and the camping and caravan club site was well stocked and not too expensive.
The woods were great for taking the dog a walk. All the facilities were clean, and well kept. As I said the wardens were friendly, helpful and unobtrusive, all in all an excellent week

Great site in a great setting.
You get all the facilities of a good caravan club site. The site is very well laid out with spacious pitches, we have a couple of small kids and pitched near the play park which was great. The pitches are hardstanding and not all are perfectly level but this wasn't a problem and because the site isn't level it makes it more picturesque.
The facility blocks were very clean and well maintained. We made use of the family room which was an added bonus.
From the site you can walk through Sandringham estate. We shall certainly be returning here.

We stayed at this site for a long weekend over the Mayday weekend. Lovely site in a lovely location with lots of walks available direct from site, but too many rules. We arrived at 11. 40 which I admit was before the 12noon arrival but rather than being allowed to sit and wait we where sent away.
All caravans have to be pitched a certain way, even if the ground is sodden and turning your unit around would make more sense and reserving of pitches is not allowed.
Facilities where clean but again in the toilet blocks there where many do's and don'ts.
The shop in the woods stocked a variety of items and souvenirs.

This is a well maintained site. Surrounded by woodland, nevertheless, the site receives a lot of sun and is very attractive.
A 2 mile easy walk takes you straight to the Estate visitor's centre and as motorhome users, we welcomed the fact that the No 11 bus stops right outside of the entrance.
From here, we visited Kings Lynn and Hunstanton. Kings Lynn has all the usual shops and a small historic area. Hunstanton is a very traditional Victorian seaside resort.
The fish and chip van visits three times a week and there is a shop within walking distance in the neighbouring woods.
Wildlife abounds in the area and despite what other reviews have said, we heard very little road noise - you will probably hear more if you stay close to the play area but as we had no children with us, we stayed at the opposite side to this.
There are 2 large toilet blocks up to the usual CC standards and the reception sells milk and daily newspapers.
We would definitely use this site again but take the bikes next time as once off the main road, the lanes are very quiet.
