This site is in a great location and is really easy to find. We went during the February halfterm week and travelled to the site when there was quite a lot of snow on the ground. We had to go to the veg prep areas to get fresh water for the first couple of days due to the low temperatures, but this didn't detract from the quality of the site at all.
The shop that serves the site as well as the nearby C&CC site was closed until March so preplanning was needed to make sure we didn't run out of essentials. The nearest other shop is a Budgens in Dersingham, about a 10 minute drive.
There are 2 toiles blocks and as you'd expect from the CC they were both spotless.
Lots to do in the area, pity that most of it was closed as we were visiting so early in the season.
Kings Lynn is only 6 miles away, there is a bus stop right outside the entrance to the site. There you'll find all the usual high street stores. They even have a February half-term fun fair, which apparently is an annual event. Hunstanton is also just a few miles up the road if you fancy a trip to the seaside, but again most of the entertainements were shut.
Plenty of woodland walks around the site, you can walk to Sandringham House, but again it was closed, it opens in April. There is a children's play area but nowhere for them to fly a kite or play a ball game.
Would visit again, but will make it later in the season to take advantage of the local amenities etc

We had a week here in October 2011 got lucky with the weather and so had some welcome Autumn sunshine, we had read some of the previous comments about the sign’s and staff here yes there was a few extra sign’s but not a problem as they seemed to be common sense! and as for the staff we found them all very pleasant and helpful and as we had left the dogs at home (attended) we had a long chat with one of the male wardens about the problem of dogs getting sick certain time of year even so we did notice a number of dogs on site (hope they are all ok) In our experience the site was clean and tidy usual CC standard very quiet and we would use it again.

Beautiful wooded landscaped site. Obviously very popular even in the low-ish season of end September.
Very impressed with reception and check in process and guide to various pitches with the invitation to make my selection, sun/shade/facilities etc. - I've never stayed at any multistar hotel which approached this level of personal attention! I witnessed this for other arrivals as well.
Visiting fish & chip van available on the one night I was there (twice a week apparently); shop close by; clean washblocks with lots of hot water in basins and showers etc - for a single camper like me all important supply boxes are ticked.
I seek tranquillity when I camp and I found the road roar from the adjacent highways really intrusive (though acceptable with earplugs) and not really compatible with the sylvan visual nature of the site
The three washblocks are set quite a long way apart on this very large site and I was not told at check in that my nearest one was closed. This was nearly very embarrassing.
I will undoubtedly return to this fabulous site, but will ensure I have serious ear care in place.

Just got back from this site and I am a little upset. We have just started caravanning and this is the first proper site we have stopped at and I think we have been spoiled, from now on I will expect every site to meet their standards and I don't think that will happen.
I cannot really fault the site at all. It was very very clean all round. I read a lot about 'do`s and don't`s' on the site in previous posts and to be honest they are the normal ones which you would expect any site of this standard to have.
Staff were really nice, including the site workers who always had a 'good morning' for you as you walk past. Bins and waste area cleaned every morning, showers and toilets very clean.
Pitches were very clean and well laid out. The woodland surrounding was gorgeous to walk in.
We will definitely be returning here again and I can assure anyone who is thinking of visiting the site you will love it.

In the boundaries of sandringham estate, the caravan club site is a well kept well laid out site.
The play area is very nice and has a section for smaller children. The rest is the usual excellent cc standard. The toilets are clean and warm the wardens friendly and the pitches large and well laid out.
There is a small supermarket nearby as well as a chippy.
I would recommend it to a friend as there is plenty to do in the vicinity, visit sandringham, Hunstanton, kings Lynn, or a trip to wells next the sea.
The site itself is set in woodland and is a good distance from any main roads, though access is easy, so road noise is non existent. A short walk through the woods is a well stocked shop shared between the cc and c&cc club sites.

Site was very quiet and there were plenty of pitches to choose from which was handy as it gave me the opportunity to find a sheltered spot slightly out of the wind. Site is well maintained but as other have said there is an abundance of 'don't do' signs which combined with the security gates made it fell a bit unfriendly. Facilities very clean and plenty of hot water. As it was wintertime the shop in the woods was closed so I did my shopping in Budgens in nearby Dersingham. There are miles of walks though the forest and it is a nice stroll along the many tracks to Sandringham visitors centre. The house itself was closed to the public as HRH was in residence, in fact she attended church at nearby West Newton which is close to the site. Snettisham beach is great for birding but wrap up well in the winter as it is bleak when the wind blows.
Overall I prefer the relaxed atmosphere of the C&CC site nearby but the hardstandings of the CC site make life easier when the ground is soft. CC site also has a communal aerial system for those that like their TV in an area that has poor reception.

Excellent facilities as you would expext on a CC site. Enclosed wash up facilities on the main toilet block, the other one had ' open ' wash up area ( bit chilly! ) Lots and lots of Do Not signs, even Do Not Walk On The Grass, No ball games seemed rather anti social, where were children supposed to play?
TV reception wasn't great but we never purchased a £12.50 lead and it was okay, mobiles and internet reception not very good at all - not surprising being in a forest,
we stayed on the Lynwood field and the pitches were very well defined and extremely spacious and we never heard any traffic from the A149,
probably best to leave the sites phone number with anyone who may need to contact you while you are away, I wouldn't trust the mobile phone system in an emergency.
Fish and Chip van on Mon. Weds. And Fri. Was excellent. All in all a great site and we would go again.

Lovely area and lovely site. Our Motorhome was in a pitch that backed almost into the surrounding woods, great for just sitting and looking. A bit worrying when the wind got up but absolutely no worries of impending danger.
Excellent facilities, very well managed.Staff very helpful and friendly. Some say there are too many rules, we were not aware of any 'rule' that didn't make perfect sense. Would choose different pitch next time as we were shaded from the high trees but it didn't cause a problem.
Lovely woods to walk in, a well stocked shop is also to be found in the middle of the woods which was handy. Bus stops right outside the site to go to Sandringham House, glad we took the bus as it would have been a long walk. Worth a stay, looking forward to going again soon.

The site is up to the usual CC standards and the play areas are open and cater for all age groups.
There is a little store that sells all you could need. It’s an independent outlet next to the C&CC site, so there is a short gentle uphill walk involved through the woods, but it’s a nice walk; the shop prices are more painful but expected considering the location! Sadly the kissing gate at the start of the path leading to the shop won’t let your average pushchair through, although the path could be a challenge for some pushchairs.
The local area is excellent for walking and cycling. There are wooded paths and quiet roads which go in various directions, including Sandringham House which you can easily reach by bike once you’ve navigate a good hill – not a problem for your average cyclist, but my wife had our daughters bike linked by the tag-a-long and had to walk some of the hill.
Sandringham House and its gardens are as you would expect. There are more paths to cycle and walk plus a pleasure drive. The pleasure drive has loads of secluded places to pull off and have a picnic. There is loads of parking near the house, we even managed to park our 24ft motorhome for the day with no difficulty; plus it’s free. The children’s play area was surprisingly poor, but according to the press article I’ve since read, a little boy has wrote to the Queen and she is going to do something about it.
Wolferton is within cycling distance and has a nature reserve (Dersingham Bog) before you reach the village. Wolferton has some of the prettiest houses I’ve ever seen, especially the ones which used to be the railway station; they still have the original platforms as their gardens. Apparently, the station was very popular with the royals in years gone by.
There are loads of nature reserves in the area that are worth a visit. We went to one, Marsh Side I think, which had a path down to the beach (Sadly closed for upgrade during our visit). Again parking was fine for the motorhome, plus there was a small café and toilets.
We also visited Wells-Next-The-Sea, which I think could be the best beach in the area and, unlike Hunstanton, had suitable parking (no height restriction!). Wells had a mini railway, swings, harbour for crab fishing (which appeared very popular), small selection of shops and the beach.
We also visited Bircham Windmill. We felt the price to go up in the mill was a bit too much, but unless you spend money in the shop or café, everything else is free and worth an hours visit to see the mill, selection of animals and small children’s play area. Their home made cakes are well worth a visit – the best fresh doughnuts we’ve ever had. Again, plenty of parking, but access to the overflow field could pose a problem for the larger motorhome, so get there early.
We would be happy to stay at the CC site again, but probably wont as I think we’ve visited everything in the area that we would want to see.

A very nice site with the toilet facilities up to the usual club standard. The play area was mostly closed apart from a small slide and roundabout and a seesaw. I found this difficult to explain to my granddaughter as no reason was given (This was one of the reasons I booked this site).
There seemed to be more rules on this site than others I have visited, one being that motor caravans could not use a hose to fill their water tanks because someone may trip over the hose?.
The surrounding area is very nice,we spent most of our time on the beach at Old Hunstanton parking behind the La Strange Hotel £3.50 for the day. There is a very nice cafe next to the lifeboat station too.We went to Holt and took a ride on the steam train to Sheringham which is a very nice day out.
