Went here 1-3 of July. We have been here before and it is what it is - cheap and cheerful. One of our party had some dog mess on their pitch and wanted the grass cutting which was all attended to in a timely manner but it would have been better if the grass on all the pitches had been cut.
The staff were very good. The park is fairly basic but it kept the kids entertained. There are electric and non-electric pitches.
The toilets and showers were clean but could generally do with an overhaul and a bit more attention to cleaning. There is a bar and there was some evening entertainment but we didn't go.
The waste skip could have done with emptying as well as rubbish was overspilling. Like I say - this is cheap and cheerful and could do with some investment which I guess will come in time.
Don't be expecting great things but it's ideal for an East coast base.

Booked this campsite at the last minute. As it was just after the bank holiday weekend we did not really expect much because they had space for tent with electric. But was pleasantly surprised.
The toilets were clean but dated, the camping field was great for the kids to play football and other games on as it is very spacious. You get to choose your own pitch and the staff are very helpful and friendly.
There is a small club on site with things going off on most nights and they also do food. The kids playground is not brilliant for little ones as it has got some damage to some of the equipment. It seems to be a very quiet site for what I have seen.
There is a morrisons supermarket nearby a village shop a few pubs a fish shop and I believe there is a bus into scarborough also. There is park and ride not too far away for scarborough.
I will definitely be going back for a few weekends away and for the price a night they charge it is a bargain.
By the way if you are on the camping field expect to woken up by the cockerel from about 3 am.

First time we booked a non Haven campsite and were pleasantly surprised.
Staff bent over backwards to help. Our electric cable was too short so they lent us one for the duration of our stay.
Toilets although dated were very clean. However no way to regulate the temp of the showers and they were too hot for my 6 year old daughter.
Didn't visit the club on site as we prefer to stay in our tent however did have a quick look in and was clean and spacious.
Games room however looked as if a bomb had gone off in it. Pool table was in bits. Would not recommend sending your children in here alone.
Playground was good. Kept my daughter busy for hours.
Will definitely ( if unable to book haven ) return here.

We went for 4 nights to try our new tent out.
The staff was were friendly and helpful. The site was clean and tidy.
The toilets and showers could do with updating a bit but were keep clean.
The bar staff were friendly. There's a great little chippy down the road you must try.
We had a good long weekend and its not too far from morrison, scarborough, Cayton bay and filey.
If you want somewhere to relax and not too noisy its a good place to stay.

An old site in need of updating a lot, Was pleased we took our tent instead of our caravan as the pitches were small.
Kids park is poor and would only hope the owner would put a few speed bumps, if possible, just before the tent field as a few cars were speeding onto the field through the last stretch of road. Potentially dangerous for the many children playing around this area
Shower cubicles were tiny and dated. That said staff very friendly, superb food from the bar and a nice pint too at reasonable prices.
A major supermarket down the road is a added bonus.
Will come again (in a tent) hopefully next time it may be a bit updated.

We have visited the camp site for the past three years with the same group of friends which has been about 6 - 7 tents full of families and have always had a great time.
The location is close to Scarborough, Filey, etc. So during the day we venture out.
As we are a big crowd we can be quite noisy without meaning to be but we have never had any problem at Arosa as long as we have kept to the far end of the field.
The little club is great if the weather turns a bit nasty and there is a big Morrisions Supermarket just around the corner to stock up. We have also sampled the loacl pubs food which was excellent.
We will defo be back in 2011.

Visited this site for 2 nights. We are two families of 6 & 7, two cars each and had electric. Owing to the length of our van's we requested the field. We were not charged anymore for the extra cars OR for the fact that we had 2/3 people more than the standard pitch fee.
In short, the best words to describe this site is 'Cheap and Cheerful' £13 per unit per night! You can't afford to stay at home for that. Its handy for the top end of Scarborough too, if you have a parking disc its free! Where else can 13 people have 2 nights away for £52?? The site is old and could do with a revamp but its clean, has plenty of hot water. The staff are friendly but the entrance is VERY narrow. The clubhouse is small but entertainment is on a weekend (Bingo or Karaoke) and the beer is reasonable and 'grand' apparently. The field only has 6 elec pitches at the entrance end and the rest are non elec but as they are on the outside it leaves ample room for a kick about. They do have a play park for kids but ours enjoyed football instead. I can HIGHLY recommend the Chip Shop, its won Best in Scarborough for the 2nd year running! Can easily understand why and the wait is well worth it!(All are done fresh to order!) this is a 10 min walk into the pretty village.
Will definitely be back again next year!

The site was well situated for Scarborough town centre. The staff made it for us, great banter with the bar staff and owners as we were a big group but enjoyed the stay
If I was going to pick bad points, the showers were a bit old, not dirty at all, but could do with a revamp. The bar on site was really nice though and we enjoyed our stop.
Scarborough was nice, decent night out, lots of bars etc, we didn't see the beach as it rained despite being august!

Good points:
Nice and handy for Scarborough
Bad points:
When we arrived it was a serious struggle getting our van in the main entrance as it is so tight with trees and bushes, but when we did we were greeted by real friendly wardens. But then the fun begun.
We were shown to our pitch only to find that someone else had already taken it with a tent, this worked in our favour as we were pitched next door to our friends, but we only had about 10ft between us and an old scruffy motorhome next door it looked like it had not been on the road for years. Anyway when we looked across the Paddock field we stayed on we saw about 20 lads in tents ! These lads turned out superb very friendly and respected us having kids. The grass had not been cut for weeks and the views were of old dumped caravans and tractors.
The shower blocks were full of mould and had rusty old metal seats and we could not believe our eyes when we saw a rubbish tip next to the play ground. We took a walk around the site only to find more old dumped caravans and everyone hemmed in. The on site bar was dated and needed a serious clean. The Bin area was a complete disgrace just one skip over flowing. Saturday we decided to stick it out and stay for the kids sake but by Sat night we had lost it as more and more lads turned up in tents creating noise and even driving across the field at high speed and doing hand brake turns! I soon put a stop to that mark my words. Sunday we left first thing but then I thought I have left and not complained so I rang the owner who was very apologetic and after a while he did give us a full refund.

Got a last minute booking at this site, (everywhere else were full) so we were thinking the worst because we could get an electric pitch!
We were pleasantly surprised. The staff were great and very friendly and helpful. They showed us to our pitch and brought an electric extension in case it was needed to reach the stand, (which we did as it was nowhere near the pitch). We didn't pay on arrival, We were told to ''just go up an pay when we were ready, and to get set up first.'' This would be great for people after a long journey.
We were near the kids swings, which made it dodgy to get the car in and out to avoid the kids, but our pitch was a good size, some were smaller.
The toilets/ showers, and the bar were a bit dated, but kept clean.
