Stayed for 3 nights on this site - it was our first visit but we won't be returning.
We have been caravanning for over 2 years and have stayed at many sites, but never one where we have felt so hemmed in. The units on the opposite side, facing us, were so close, it felt very claustrophobic. The pitches were gravel hardstandings and were simply far too small for the units on them. We only have a four berth single axle caravan (not long by any standards) and even pitching our caravan as far back as possible (2 inches away from a tree) the jockey wheel protruded into the driveway.
We were escorted to our pitch by a member of staff but felt this was not out of courtesy, but more of a necessity because nearly all the units had to be un-hoooked from the car and physically man-handled into position. Some 'mature' caravanner's might have difficulty with this unless they had a motor mover fitted. The caravan adjacent to us, was escorted to it's pitch and the warden had to pull an enormous branch out of the way, so that the caravan could be sited as far back as possible and then the branch was released and was left pressing against the side of the caravan. Again, the unit seemed too large for the pitch and it's jockey wheel stuck out into the driveway.
The section we were in was full with caravans on both sides and the driveway between them was like a slalom course as every jockey wheel extended far beyond the hardstanding. Cars driving through had to dodge and weave between the jockey wheels in order to pass between them. We found this most unsatisfactory.
Driving off was another issue. At this time, we had no caravan facing us, but the area was so compact that having hooked up, OH then had to undertake a 10 point turn in order to pull away. Caravans in the middle of the section would have greater difficulty - they would have to hook-up, pull the caravan forward, then un-hook the caravan and push it to face the other direction before hook-ing it up a second time in order to drive away.
This was one of the most expensive sites we have stayed on. We normally pay about £15 - £18 per night and have stayed on some fantastic 5* sites for that price. This site charged us £23.00 a night. I did query the cost when we booked in because I thought we had been overcharged but the man assured me it was correct & I felt a bit too intimated to pursue it. Our neighbour also said that he had been overcharged - he had been quoted £19.50 a night but was charged £23.00 a night when asked to pay his invoice. On our return home, I e-mailed Arosa about 4 or 5 times to query their charges but have received no reply.
We won't be visiting this site again.

This was our first family camping trip with children aged 2 and 3. A last minute decision booked the night before. Chose the site because of its proximity to Scarborough - short journey with excellent park and ride system. £21.50 a night.
Very happy with the experience. Big field, not too busy. Plenty of space for the children to run around.
Toilets and sinks very clean, showers slightly sandy underfoot but nothing flip flops couldn't solve! Washing up area good.
Great play area for the children, they loved it.
Didn't use club so cant comment on that.
Seamer has everything you need - a couple of shops and restaurants and a good chippy.

This was our very first site with our touring van in July 2006. The site owners were superb, setting us up and returning every now and again to check on us.
Loved it so much took the van up there for the Summer of 2007 so we could return each weekend. Rates very reasonable for unattended van.
Hoped to do the same this year but circumstances dictated otherwise.
Nice clean toilet block with seats in front of big, well lit mirrors, much appreciated when drying hair.
Nice little club which I liked as I didn't have to drive back after a late night out.
Lots of people who stay for the Summer and longer, all very friendly.
Good for all local seaside venues and the country side.
Hoping to go up soon.

We have just returned from our first family camping experience. We stayed just one night at the Arosa, and were really impressed. Our tent was pitched in a large flat field at the end of the site, near to a children's play area. The kids (ranging 3 to 8 years) were impressed with the play area, and the grown ups were happy with the facilities (clean toilets, decent shower area, and 'utility' room). The icing on the cake was the small club house - friendly staff, Sky TV, and a decent cooked breakfast. We will be returning for a longer stay very soon!

Spent bank holiday weekend on this site. Facilities were ok and clean although only 4 showers each for men and women. Did not use club house so cannot comment on it.
Staff were very helpful and friendly.
My main concern was it felt a bit like sardines as the pitches are a bit cramped and there are lots of them!
Good location for exploring the Scarborough area.

Have just returned from this campsite. We have had a fantastic time! Mainly because of the weather . The camp was busy but well maintained, there was always loo roll in the toilets and they were kept clean.
The club house on sight was very good and the people friendly .It is a very child friendly camp and the park was ok.
The camp is ideal if you want to use as a base but the children would become bored if you stayed on camp the whole time.
It is good value for money and good for exploring the surrounding area(only about 3 miles away from Scarborough)I would go back again, if only to use as a good base.

We visited Arosa for May bank holiday 2/05-04/05 and were more than happy with the on site facilities. The toilets where cleaned constantly throughout our stay and the showers where hot, clean and FREE!
All staff where exceptionally friendly and you could definitly feel a family atmosphere here!
There is an onsite club house which had a quiz night and karaoke - although we didnt attend as no dogs where allowed! Good feedback all round though!
Would definitly visit again!

We booked this site, because we left booking for easter late and couldn`t get into anywhere else. We booked it for 4 days Thursday to the Monday, The pitch we got was in the new section and just been laid with large gravel, Which wasn`t too kind to the car or the caravan. When we arrived we were helped by the staff to push the caravan back which was nice, We were right next to the park so the kids could play and we could keep on eye on them. Now the bad bits - I think the site wasn`t ready for easter, because everyones electric kept triping through the 4 days we spent there, The club house reminded of something out of the 80`s. I found the site and staff strange, probably cause its family run, and were use to havens, more comercial sites.
Would we go back?
No

We are quite new to camping after having had a static for years. We found this caravan park on this website and thought we would try it as it had some good reveiws. From the minute we entered the site to when we left we were made to feel very very welcome. Richard who runs the site couldnt do enough for us. Also Neil and Sharon the owners went out of there way to make sure everyone had a good time. We were going for 3 nights but stayed 4. The facilities are lovely and clean and tidy. Plenty of toilets, showers and washbasons which were spotless at all times. The clubhouse was nice and friendly and served lovely meals. All in all a perfect site for us. The site is just a short walk to a lovely village. My friends visited us and we have both now booked in again for 2 weeks in november. This is where you will find us when we want to get away. Thanks to all the staff there for making us feel welcome. We were dissapointed when we had to go home.

We visited this site for 12 days in the school holidays. I can honestly say this site is the friendliest we have ever been to. They could not do enough for us including dropping everything to look for my two year old who did a runner in a rare second I took my eye off him. My other son who is seven was often invited directly into the owners home to play with their son's toys and trampoline. Both my children loved this site so much so we have booked to go back in the October holidays. I felt at home. At no time did I ever go to the toilet and find no toilet roll, the showers were lovely and warm, not too hot not too cold, perfect. The facilities were clean and kept up to date at all times. The club is fantastic not clicky like some, all people were treated the same. There was bingo, karaoke and quiz nights. Sharon the owner gets all the girls up then men in karaoke competitions. They were very friendly and didn't throw a Hissy fit when my 2 year old ran behind the bar like some would. So if you want a a central site not right on the sea but close enough to go to Scarborough, Filey and others this is the site to visit. Local amenities are all in walking distance and the fish shop is lovely. It also has Wi-fi if you need to take your laptop although it does not reach the far areas of the site, but it did go as far back as 6 pitches (3rd enclosure) back where I was.
