Our first trip to this site but we will definitely be back.

Upon arrival we were told to choose our own pitch. Choice of both hardstanding and grass. Pitches were large and well spaced out.

On-site shop sold basic essentials and the staff were friendly. The wardens in particular were very helpful and informative with any questions we had.

There are two toilet blocks on site, but due to recent flooding because of bad weather, one of them was closed. This was a minor inconvenience and didn't cause much of a problem.

The children's play areas were well kept and the overall state of the site was in excellent condition.

Noticed a few pubs in the village although didn't go to these. The Spar in the village was open late and the local fish and chips were excellent and are recommended.

Scarborough is approx 10 minute drive away with Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay both within 30 minutes.

This was our first visit to this site, but it's not going to be our last, we've already booked 2 weekends in for 2011!

We were greeted by some very friendly and helpful wardens and asked to choose our own pitch. The pitches are very large and as has been mentioned before for a large site the layout makes it feel much smaller than it is.

The shower/toilet facilities as always with Caravan Club sites were immaculate. There are several play areas for kids, ours loved the large field with the bigger play area. There is a small games room with 2 pool tables, each morning the warden came a gave our kids a free game of pool if they were there early enough, which they thought was fantastic.

Wardens were really helpful and friendly even giving us tips on restaurants to eat in.

The site is ideally located to go into Scarborough. There is a spar, petrol station, fish shop and pubs in the village.

Great site.

This site is situated in an ideal location for exploring the North Yorkshire moors and coastline. The site was easy to find and is laid out nicely with spacious pitches both on grass and hardstanding.

On site there is a large play field, two play areas for young and older children, a room with two pool tables and a table tennis table and a dog walk, the shop sold essentials.

The site was full during our stay but the facilities were kept spotlessly clean due to the hard work of the excellent wardens. There is a petrol station, spar shop and Post Office in the village and although we didn't visit the local pubs or the chip shop by all accounts they were very good.

Public transport is in walking distance from the site for trips into Scarborough or Pickering, don't miss the North Yorkshire steam railway when visiting the area, York, Whitby, Filey and Bempton Cliffs RSPB reserve are also worth visiting. We hope to visit this great site again soon.

Greeted by friendly staff, able to choose own pitch, Staff helpful in suggesting could drive right round site first to see different areas. Site split into different areas, so doesn't feel big. Too quiet for our 8 year old BH week. Quite a few younger children on small playground, but playground for older children largely deserted. 'Games room' is really just a pool room. Signs saying monitored by CCTV due to previous vandalism & pool cues from reception, £5 deposit required!

Shower blocks clean, but quite dated. Never had to queue.

Nice village. Cayton Bay and Danes Dyke nice on a sunny day. Whitby is really nice.

Our first visit to this site, but it won't be our last. Lovely site, well laid out, the secluded pitch grouping makes it feel so much smaller than it actually is.

We have 2 dogs and this site has wonderful dog walks beyond the dog walking area which is small, but adequate for quick toilet visits. A pity that a small number of dog owners don't feel it is necessary to clean up after their pets for some reason, which is not the wardens fault.

There is a large playing field with a miniature assault course for the kids, and a small games room. I think there are other small playgrounds around the site too. The sinks & showers are well appointed.

I recommend the trip over the North Yorks moors to Whitby. Breath taking scenery & whitby is busy, but full of character. The little cobbled streets remind me of York.

Nearby Thornton Le Dale is a quaint little well-kept village with lovely shops & cafes. We got good meat from the local butcher for our bbq from here.

We spent a day in nearby Dalby forest. A must for cyclists & walkers.

The local chippy at east Ayton was good. From the information in the well-appointed tourist information room, there are plenty of good quality eateries in the area. I recommend you check out all the info in the Tourist info room which is extensive.

Most has been said about this site, some hard standings some grass areas, because of the layout it feels smaller than it is.

The facilities are the usual good club standards and the shop sells essentials. There's a large children's play area and a small games room, with play equipment for the smaller ones dotted around the site.

There is a dog walk which can be extended by following the footpath behind the van storage area where there are lovely views, this takes you on a circular down nearly into the village and back to the site. There is also the forge valley nearby, which can be reached from the end of the dog walk with a steep decent, or across the fields, where you can walk for miles along the river.

There is a free bus from the site which runs into Scarborough on Tues and Sat nights for people who want to go to the summer show, and you can get money off vouchers for sea life in the office.

There is a regular bus route from the village into Scarborough but there is also a moors bus which will take you further afield.

The village has two pubs, the Forge Valley (pub) has regular jazz and folk nights.

The Deniston arms does home cooked food and boy do you get a lot we couldn't manage it all and that's a first for us.

Never did see the chippy open.

New Spa shop which sells fuel is in the village, this is open til late.

It was very quiet, though full, during our stay but it was still out of the busy season.

First visit here. Really very impressed. Lovely location and very well laid out site. Good sized pitches and plenty of landscaping / shrubs and trees to break the site into attractive areas rather than a plain open space. Although fairly large for a club site and despite being full all of our visit it never felt like it because of the thoughtful design.

Two toilet blocks were as is usual on club sites immaculately maintained. Only slight complaint is that the shower cubicles are a little smaller than in some of the newer toilet blocks. Huge playing field for kids with a clubhouse that has 2 pool tables and a table tennis table. There is also a small kiddie park elsewhere on the site.

Dog walk is pretty good. It's L shaped but I think they could pinch a little bit from the large playing field to make the long narrow bit of the L a bit wider. It's only about 10 foot and to be fair they could make it at least another 10 or 20 feet wider without detracting from the very large play area.

A new Spar has opened in the village and it's realy handy, good range, cash machines, petrol station, even a post office. The chippy is quite good but closes pretty early (8 pm most nights)

This site is now one of our favourites and we will definitely return

Lovely Site, all wardens were very pleasant, friendly and helpful. A special mention for Terry who was always willing to give you his time and advice. Facilities very good, staff always busy keeping site to a very high standard. Lovely and peaceful, plenty of space, grass and trees a very relaxing location.

West Ayton a short walk away, if you cut through the village you will find a pleasant area where the ducks and ducklings hang out, take a wee bit bread for them.

The village has 2 pubs, the Forge had quiz night, and a folk night very good.

A chippy in village for take away or posh fish restaurant if you prefer your chippy on a plate.

Spar at the petrol garage good for all supplies, Morrisons a few miles away, Tesco in Scarborough.

We visited Scarborough,Filey was very nice and we also went to Goathland which was also good. I recommend visiting this Site.

We visited this lovely site over the May Bank Holiday weekend, and although it was nearly full, it didn't feel busy. The site facilities are excellent, the showers were very clean and we never had to queue.

There is a great field for the kids to play on with a games room complete with pool tables and table tennis.

The site is a short drive from Scarborough and within walking distance to a small village which has a fish and chip shop and SPAR.

The site wardens were really friendly and welcoming. We will definitely visit this site again, as there is so much to do in the surrounding area.

Just spent a few days here for the first time. It's a lovely site with plenty of space between pitches. The toilets / showers are up to the usual standard expected of CC sites but the shop is better stocked than some. The site is convenient for both Scarborough and Filey.

A special mention must go to the wardens who were both very friendly and helpful.
