What a fantastic site. Friendly wardens, well laid out site, lovely mix of pitches. Right next door to the country park with acres of space to explore, and what a beach awaits at the end, it goes on for miles. Site even when full, didn't feel cramped. Lovely and peaceful majority of time, bit noisy at weekends with lots of children about. Kids need to be told by the parents, not to hare around the site roads on their bikes. Would I go back again. Most definitely.

We have just spent two nights at Pembrey. This is our second visit to the site (we live overseas and don't get back to the UK that often) and we made a special effort to return as we were so impressed the first time. Once more, we were not disappointed. We had a really friendly and efficient welcome. Though quite busy, we still found a lovely spacious pitch, level and quite secluded. The toilet/shower facilities are excellent, similarly washing up area and laundry. A nice touch was the visits from the baker and milkman. Then there's the location. With our two dogs we walked through the lovely country park, across the dunes and on to the most beautiful beach - perfect. We'll definitely be back next time we visit South Wales.

Our only disappointment was having to leave.
This is a fantastic site for those families who enjoy the outdoors and dog owners like ourselves who like to walk straight out of the site for a great walk and not have to drive to find a walk.
Pembrey caravan club site is great, the facilities are clean and of the usual standard for caravan club sites. The grounds are very well maintained, and the pitches are huge. The wardens are very welcoming and informative we requested to move pitches to a sunnier position which the wardens were only too happy to help us with.
The country park is situated right next to the site. It has miles of well signposted trails, woodland walks and the beach is a mere fifteen minuet walk, the allocated 'dog' beach will not disappoint with its wide expanse of beach as far as the eye can see.
I rarely commit to returning to a place as there is so much of our beautiful country to see, but we will return to Pembrey as it is a perfect place for a great touring holiday, relaxing, but with plenty of activities to do, and lovely long walks. Its perfect for families and dog walkers.

First time visit to this site and will definitely return. From arrival to departure the everything was spot on. The wardens couldn't do enough for you and were always around doing work and passing the time of day with you. Toilets and showers were spotless whenever you went there and the pitch and surrounding areas were spotless to. The country park is literally a short walk away but beware I would advise you to walk in otherwise its a £5 fee to take the car. There are ample places to visit in the area and for cyclists your right on the coastal path. Pay a visit you won't be disappointed

We have had another fantastic holiday, this year the wardens were fantastic, always very helpful and very friendly made our holiday more relaxing. The showers and toilets were always clean and tidy they even used to go in at night and clean them again. The beach is fantastic, the toboggan run, the skiing was great for kids not too far away from several supermarkets, and great Indian just up the road and they delivered to the site can't wait to book again for next year

We stayed at this site from 23 to 27 July 2014, during the heatwave. The wardens gave us a very warm welcome and showed us which pitches were free, and where all the facilities were. We chose a grass pitch as it was so dry. We had been to Pembrey Country Park as day visitors and wanted to stay for longer - we weren't disappointed!
The site itself was always immaculate. It was lovely to see children riding bikes and scooters round the site, with enough space round the vans to play and not be a nuisance. The wardens were always around, but very unobtrusive. They never interfered, just let you get on with your holiday which is always good.
My children didn't use the play area as they are a little old for that so we pitched further away from it.
We found having to have a key for facilities a little unusual, plus the fact that there are 7 privacy cubicles and only 4 (or 5)showers. I never saw more than 2 cubicles being used, but did have to queue for a shower - perhaps more showers and less cubicles would be better? (and hence 9/10), but understand that this is necessary due to the closeness of the country park and the fact there only seems to one main loo block on the said park.
Each morning a milkman would come round, followed by a bakers van, and there was also an ice cream van one evening, which was a lovely touch.
The park was great, as was the stunning beach, but it was so hot we had to retreat from the sand and return in the evening.
We enjoyed all the facilities the park had to offer - the kids learnt to ski, my daughter had a riding lesson and my hubby enjoyed cycling and the toboggan ride. I was quite happy to lie back and enjoy the whole thing!
The town of Kidwelly is just up the road with a large Co-op for food. There is also the castle which is worth a visit. As we've stayed in the area before, we only left the site for food shopping and a meal one night. I had looked in the info centre for restaurants and was overwhelmed with the choice so asked the wardens. They recommended the Cornish Arms in Burry Port. From the outside it looks like an old boozer, but if you want excellent fish, a very extensive menu, great service and prices, this is the place to come!
We've already decided that we want a week here in 2015, and are planning accordingly.

This is a large site very well maintained with excellent toilet / shower facilities and friendly wardens
It is situated in pembrey country park which is a superb place for cycling or walking ! The site is approx 1 mile from the beach which has miles of golden sand but also lots & lots of large jellyfish !
There is a small cafe / bar situated at the entrance to the adjacent camping field
The nearest small town is Burry Port (a couple of miles away) which has a few pubs, chippy & a co-op store
The National cycle route no 4 runs close to the site which is a brilliant safe off road path -we cycled all the way to Llanelli 18 Mile round trip and found a weatherspoons for mid way refreshments
We would definitely recommend this site and hope to return soon

Stayed at pembrey for a 2 night stay over the weekend. Great pitches, hardstanding and grass. Simple approach. As always the site was spotless, water hot, toilets very clean and wardens very helpful and polite. Our grandchildren enjoyed the horse riding in the country park, also the tabbogan ride. Lots of walks through the park and the beach. Nothing was too much trouble. We all enjoyed a great weekend yet again at pembrey

What a lovely site we only had 2 nights and so wish we could have stayed longer. The wardens couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful. We loved the cycling and followed the track along to Llanelli, also all around the country park. What a beautiful area.
Liked being able select our own pitch, found it a very relaxed site. All usual cc standard. Wifi not available when we were there. Tv reception was fine.
Look forward to returning!
