What a fantastic site. It was very easy to get to and well signposted. The loo block was very clean and tidy, and staff were very friendly and helpful, even when I managed to trip the lecky at 8pm!
There is so much to do in the park for all - lazing about for the adults while the kids hare down the toboggan run, run about in the adventure playground, build sandcastles on the beach, play crazy golf, all sorts of things.
My girls especially enjoyed the ski slope and the pony trekking. They said, 'it was utterly awesome, there was a ski slope, a toboggan run and we went to the beach everyday. It was well cool, go there!'

We stayed here 2nd week in August. Compared to other sites I found this one cramped. This is the noisiest site we have ever stayed on; I met a number of people in the wash up area who agreed. It seemed quite natural for kids to be playing until 11. 00pm, trundling up and down the roads on scooters, bikes with stabilisers etc and shouting.
The children's park area was fairly basic, there was no field to play any ball games. My 6 yr old got slapped in the face and punched in the stomach by a 4 yr old boy when she wondered into 'his' empty den. Suggest you stay away from the pitches close to roads if you want a bit of peace.
I feel there could be more facilities, when the main toilet block was closed there was quite a queue for the remaining 2 toilets. Cleanliness remained reasonable around this busy time.
As for the park, it is everything that other reviewers have said. There is a great cycle track all the way to Llanelli, much of the path is so smooth it would be great for roller blading.

First visit to this site and were treated with a warm welcome by the wardens on our arrival. Site is in a great location with the country park adjacent to it. Direct access available to trails and forest walks which we all enjoyed.
Beach 5-10 min cycle ride through the forest, or you can take your car in and park for a fee. Site is beautifully maintained and clean and spotless, with a good mix of hard standing and grass pitches.
I suspect the toilet block to be busy in school holidays, but never had to queue when we were there. Baby room was great has a small bath with shower and toddler sized loo also spotless.
Playground was well used and suggest those looking for a quieter holiday to choose a pitch away from here. Main towns llanelli for retail parks/big supermarkets. Swansea for indoor waterpark and indoor playcentre. But in good weather could stay on site in park and not use car at all! All in all very impressive site will definitely go back next yr

This was our third visit to this magnificent site and though it has been 10 years since the last visit it was well worth the wait,
The site itself was in pristine condition a tribute to the hard working staff,
We were lucky with the weather so we did not leave the site during our visit except for cycling the numerous cycle tracks adjacent to the site and the Pembrey National Park is always a great attraction,
Tradesmen call on a daily basis so if you don't mind doing without the daily paper the site is practically self sufficient,
There is a fish and chip shop 10 minutes walk away which we found to be of good quality and value, all in all this site ticks all the boxes and we can't understand why we waited so long to re visit definitely 10 out of 10.

Just returned from another lovely weekend at this beautiful site. It's fairly local to us so we usually try to visit about 2-3 times a year as our young daughter loves the play-park.
Firstly I must congratulate the Wardens for keeping the site in a tip-top and lovely clean condition. Also, they always make you feel super welcome which starts the holiday on the right note every time.
On a recent visit, I asked the wardens for the nearest accessory shop and explained that I had foolishly forgotten our caravan step (not a good idea with a five year old daughter in and out of the van constantly), they kindly allowed me to borrow a step for the duration of our holiday and saved me an hour round-trip to the local dealer. Thankyou!
As I said earlier, the site is immaculate as are the toilets and showers, and there is plenty to do in the surrounding country park (especially if you are the walking/cycling type).
If I had to rate it out of 10? it gets a big fat 10!

Having visited Clumber and Ferry Meadows country parks we were looking forward to Pembrey and we weren't disappointed.
It had the high standards of a caravan club site with friendly staff and lovely clean facilities. The pitches were surrounded by woodland, which did make the TV reception poor, but provided lots of varied dog walks.
The ski centre with toboggan run was a huge hit with the boys (12 & 10) & being able to walk to the dog friendly beach was an added bonus.
There is also a horse riding centre next door which offers lessons and treks and a new 'Go Ape' adventure centre is also within the woodland.
The site shop/reception on site only had basic provisions but a milkman and baker visit week days and provide milk, orange juice, eggs, bread, cakes, croissants, drinks and cereals.
This is a well kept & positioned site, we definitely plan to re-visit.

Just returned from this great site in the second week of the school holidays. Having read the various reviews we wonder if we actually went to the same site. We never had any problems with the number of showers or toilets, the site was spotless and quiet for the school holidays perhaps we were lucky.
Our only negative comment relates to the need to have a key to use the toilet and shower block, this meant that our young daughter could not go to the toilet unaccompanied as she was too short to reach the lock.
The Country Park is fantastic and never used the car from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Yes there is noise from the planes but never considered it to be a problem. We are booked in again for the October half term and our kids cannot wait to go back, having had their ”Best holiday ever.

Just spent 4 nights here, the last two with our grandchildren. We will be returning.
Typical caravan club site, but I would say one of their better sites, well laid out, clean spacious pitches. The toilet block, all be it the only one never seemed to be full and was always spotlessly clean and toastie warm. The wardens were helpful. Small children's play area on site, my only moan would be that there wasn't a play area for toddlers
The site is just outside the main gates of Pendine Country Park which has lots to do for everyone. Great cycling and walking for adults, the place and caravan site is teeming with widlife and birdlife.
The Millennium cycle path is within a few hundred yards of the camp gates, from here the Celtic trail runs across Wales with cycle tracks and detours to suit all abilities.
There is a shop in Pendine wich seemed to have a little of everything, 5 mins by car 10 mins by bike. Furter into Bury Port there was a well stocked supermarket. We had a great meal in the Neptune in Bury Port on our first day and another good meal in the Ship Aground in Pendine layer in the week. Be aware that during the winter the opening times are limited with most pubs shut by 2pm. There is a great fish and chip shop in Bury Port, we bought great cod and chips and ate it at one of the picnic sites on the millennium path while watching a stunning autumn sunset.
The RAF practice low flying over Pendine during the week so aircraft noise can be an issue, we were more impressed by the free ariel acrobatic show than annoyed. The weekends were quiet.
A stunning site with plenty to do if you appreciate the outdoors, However I could see it could be tedious if you don't like cracking scenery, out door 'things' and need a shop within 200 yards to survive. Most people on site seemed to enjoying themselves and clearly many return again and again

We have been using this site for 15 years and have always found it spotless and up to caravan club usual standard. We go there specifically to walk dogs on the beach which you have always been able to do at pembrey end, only 2 miles but not enough for some people it would seem On entering the park be careful not to see the sign the size of a small house, directing you to the ski slope and 2 cafe's the one is just up the road opposite the 18 hole pitch & putt golf course, just brilliant.

Good location for a large country park good for walking, cycling.
A few points the cc need to address.4 showers each in mens & ladies with 2 further ones each a little harder to find in the annex as it is called is just not enough for the size of site.
Low flying jets are a real pain from tues to fri, seem to fly in a large circle all day going right over the site
All in all a average cc site, some pitches were a bit cramped & one we will not be returning to after leaving 4 days early on a 2 week holiday.
