Just returned home from a 11 night stay, lovely site, flat and all grass pitches, feels very continental, showers and toilets always clean and lovely hot showers. This is a gem of a site, quiet and peaceful, lovely walk along river to Abergavenny, plenty of nice shops and cafes in the area. Visited Cardiff and other surrounding areas as the site is very central. The owners were very helpful and the site is a credit to them. I would love to visit again as this is one of the most calming and best sites that we have stayed on. Plenty of room for the kids to play. Do not hesitate to book this site as you will not be disappointed. Thank you Mr and Mrs Davies for such a gem of a site and a very relaxing holiday.

Staying here over weekend 23 July. Great site with lovely river walk to Abergavenny. However if you are looking for a quiet site this is not your best choice. It's the noisiest site we have ever stayed at. There are also lots of 'permanent ' caravans with awnings and decking which are used weekends only and these owners have no respect for others staying on site. It is just one big party.
The owners also need to operate more supervision on the 6 metre rule between units. We had a guy and his caravan pull up at 0730 am on the Friday morning and parked the van right next to us, secure the van and then vanish for 36 hours. He and 2 car loads then showed up at 2200 hours on the Saturday night and parked their cars almost under our 'van awning. They then proceeded to start unloading the cars with absolutely no regard for anyone around.
This us a beautiful and reasonably priced site but I would never use it again in the high season. It's like a free for all and the people who visit their 'weekend caravans' have no time or respect for others who genuinely want to visit this lovely area. Such a shame but a bit more owner supervision and input would make it so much better.
It's now 2300 hours on the Saturday night and it's like sitting amongst a busy bar - if you need an early night and decent nights sleep you won't get it here! More input from the owners please !

This is a pretty, well-maintained campsite in a nice location. This site is mainly used by caravanners, with many ‘permanent pitches’ for owners visiting at weekends. We were one of only two tents in the field! There was a rally going on when we visited, so all of the centre pitches were coned off. We were able to choose out of the perimeter pitches available. Lovely shower/toilet block.
Despite the busy main road, this is in a nice rural area. Lots of noisy birdsong early on a morning, which woke us up.
We walked from this site to the Sugarloaf mountain. Quite a hike and we were almost attacked by two huge dogs on the way – would recommend driving to the Sugarloaf car park and walking from there.
Lovely big pub just down the road (The Lamb and Flag). Would return here. Quite good value.

We stayed for two nights instead of one because it was such a lovely campground. The facilities were impeccably clean and I appreciated the fact that you could leave your toiletries on a bench instead of the floor as with so many campgrounds we stayed at. The site was level and it was easy to pitch the tent. Also it was nice and quiet on the campground itself and it was an easy drive to Brecon and the NP Visitor Center for our daytrip. I would definitely stay there again!

My partner and myself just returned from this campsite and we had a great time. The pitches are very generous and flat, the facilities are of a very high standard and the location is ideal. We walked into Aberrgavenny through the back lane and caught a bus back which stopped right outside the campsite entrance. I cannot recommend this campsite enough.

We have been staying here for about 10 years. We use non electric so stay in the big field. The site is spotless. The showers are clean and hot. Abergavenny is about 2 miles away, with waitrose, tescos, iceland, butchers, b&m bargains, wilkinsons, argos and everything else. You can walk up sugarloaf from accross the road to the entrance to the site. Brecon or hereford are not far away, and the site is in the middle of the black mountains and the brecon beacons.

Quiet site with pleasant views. The worst aspect was that they had mowed the grass and left the cuttings so it was traipsed into the motorhome. Shower block good with very spacious shower cubicles. Nice walks from the campsite with some dog-friendly stiles. Quite a few empty statics and caravans which seemed to be permanently stored there. Easy water-fill and emptying for motorhome. Good chemical disposal point. Reception could have offered better opening hours and a shop for basics (such as milk, bread etc) would have been useful. However, they were relaxed about arrival time when we got there later than expected and were welcoming.

We visited this site as a group of four tents and were a bit apprehensive as we ideally like to camp in the less commercial sites. Had we had to go into the large field with all the caravans, I would have been disappointed, but there is a good sized field for campers and we were able to group up in one of the corners and it was very private and natural.
Didn't really notice the road noise. The facilities were excellent.
In my view, with the wonderful landscape of the Brecon Beacons just over the hill, I would have preferred to be in amongst it. But that said, this site is in a lovely spot and I would definitely recommend it.
