One of the most friendly, accommodating sites I have been to. It is small but well organised surrounded by farm land, offers excellent dog walks. Good size pitches and easy walks around the area. Basic clean amenities and the site offered everything you would need to have a chilled family holiday.

Do you know this site is so tidy & probably one of the best I've been on for years. It's just down from from Abergaveny, a well kept family run site.
On site the facilities are very good & the sites, sounds & views are really close by. We went on a round trip via Merthr to Brecon (went to Pen-y-fan) & Crickhowell.
You can stockup at Waitrose is only 10 mins by car
Had a really great visit & will definitely be back

Wow what a little beauty, set down from the main road a couple of miles out of Abergavenny, this great little site is a must, clean & green, this well kept family run site is beautiful.
Facilities are good, toilet / showers always clean, plenty of hot water and because the site is quite small, not far to walk to.
There are a number of very well kept static and season caravans on site which are a credit to there owners, all this makes this site all the more lovely.
A great walk down by the river into the town which has everything you could need, check the information area for directions. We only stayed 3 days, wish it was longer.

Just back from a long weekend here with the children. The site is just outside Abergavenny and just as their website says, immediately after the phone box.
The site is downhill from the road so you wouldn't actually know that it was there. As others have said, there was a bit of road noise from the A40 but certainly not enough to disturb anyone (and probably no noisier than my own road)
The toilets and showers were always clean. The gents looks more modern than the ladies but both were fine, very clean. They are a fair distance apart but as it's not a massive site, you are never that far from either.
The washing up facilities were some of the best that I have seen - in 2 sep rooms with plentiful and piping hot water.
There is a racetrack shaped circular road around the site which lots of children (and adults) were using for their bikes. There didn't seem to be any one way system but there was loads of space for passing other cars (or even the ice cream van which visited on the nights that we stayed.
There are lots of tourers on site who are pitched there with little patios, solar lights etc. They were very friendly and helpful and I got the sense that they all look out for one another.
I'd go back and may do this year.
There was a pub up the road called the Lamb and Flag which looked nice but was a bit too far to walk for us as the children are young.

We had a lovely time at this peaceful and clean site. There is a separate grass camping field for those not wanting electric hook and as the ground was dry and it was early in the season we parked in there, we had the whole field to ourselves - bliss.
The facilities were good and the local walks beautiful and accessible direct from the campsite. The gents and ladies shower blocks are rather far apart but not an issue for us. We booked ahead and we received a friendly welcome when we arrived and would definitely use the site again.

We went to this site over the Easter bank holiday in a tent with our 2 dogs. It was cold. Met up with the in-laws who took their motorhome and 3 dogs. We were given pitches near to the dog exercise field. The pitches were nice and level and the facilities were always clean and were cleaned regularly. The owners were very helpful. The in-laws had to get their help to tow their motorhome from the pitch as they had sunk in the soft ground. After placing some wood under the wheels all was fine. There were plenty of walks accessible straight from the campsite. We followed the river into Abergavenny and found a nice pub for some lunch. We will definitely return, although next time we will hopefully have a caravan. The only minor negatives for the site are that it is close to the A40, so road noise could be a problem in summer. It was not a problem for us. The other minor negative (and I am being picky) is that the electric hook up is only 10A. Had it been 16A, then I may have been able to use an extra heater which may have made a difference.

Just had 5 days at pyscodlyn. Weather good and bad. Nice clean showers toilets. Friendly place, owners great. Getting in and out of site a bit panicy. Lots to see, heritage ctr, mine pit, steam railway, walk up sugar mountain, abergavenny lovely town, shops great for ladys, pubs great for me, markets lots to see, the pub flag&lamb nice meals, but pricey drinks only had a few. But overall cracking place to go to, what ever the weather

Just spent a couple of nights here over the weekend. We walked directly from here up Sugar Loaf and back down again, roughly a 6 mile hike.
We were camped in the tent field, which is nice and flat. With tents around the edge it leaves space in the centre for playing games.
The toilet/shower facilities were great hot water all day long. Washing up rooms were clean and well equipped.
Great little camp site will definitely be back.

We just had 3 nights here with our son and our friends. The field for tents is great as our son is only 2 and a half and he can't get out as he can't see the exit. The staff are really relaxed and pleasant.
The field is really well looked after and as long as you're not fussed about electric hook up - there's plenty of room.
The ladies showers and toilets are tired and not at their cleanest to be honest. There are 3 toilets and showers and a good clean is needed at the very least - but could do with a basic refresh. That's the only thing letting this site down for me.
Nice site apart from the toilets.

Camping in the field near the cows and working farm was no issue for us, owners friendly and helpful - although a bit more info about the site would be helpful, dog exercise field is found by the gate - far left at the back of the caravan field. Only one rubbish bin on site - but did do recycling.
New building for gents - ladies was looking a bit tired! 3 showers in each, and for a bank holiday - only had to wait about 10 mins.
Camping in Wales + Bank Holiday = rain! Didn't dampen our spirits though, and we had a lovely weekend at this site. We took a country walk/plod into Abergavenny, took us near an hour.
Their website said it was fully booked - but there was plenty of room and they hadn't packed the field with tents at all. Well drained field, friendly site - not strict with rules, relaxing break!
