Lovely campsite, toilets always clean and tidy, water was accessible from the toilet block or wash block. Was located in a field in the middle of residents who did not like any other visitors, not one of the said good morning or took the time to notice you was there, was told that we were not aloud in one and others at all after 11 no matter how quiet we were, was complained that the tv was to loud whist watching x factor, I was asked exactly when my children slept even though the two youngest 4 and 8 was sleeping every night by 10. 30. Even if we were given a free night to stay, we would have still packed up and left!

Stayed for 2 nights as a base for walking Sugar Loaf. Ideally located for the purpose. Access from the main road is clear.
The site was busy on the 2nd night. There are a number of seasonal pitches and these became occupied with weekenders. There was some noise (music etc. ) however, this stopped at 9. 00 p. M. The road noise, as mentioned in a previous review, dies down in the evening and is not an issue.
The toilet facilities are smart and clean.
Dog walking from the site is good as there is a quiet lane adjacent.
The towns of Abergavenny and Crickhowell are close and offer shopping and 'mooching' opportunities.

Spent a week at this site and loved every minute. Very relaxing, warm greeting when arrived and told we could select any vacant pitch, just make sure the jockey wheel was on a numbered flag. Given receipt and left to get on with it. Not an issue for us as there was lots of information in the wash up area by the ladies facilities. Both ladies and gents facilities were very clean and ample for the size of the park. Shower pressure and temperature very good. Sockets for hair dryers if you need them (free). No specific children's area but lots of space to play games, we had a badminton set and had no problem with space. Large dog field and lovely walk down the lane (out of gate left corner of site) to stile on right just before church on left. This takes you to the river turn left and if you walk far enough you will reach Abergavenny town (about 20/30 mins). The town is lovely with a good variety of shops and a Tesco Metro. Turning left out of site will take you to Crickhowell a small town with local shops, even a butchers (novel these days) the meat is excellent. Some lovely pubs with tasty food. All in all a beautiful area and site. We would certainly return if there weren't so many places in GB that I hadn't seen. Would definitely recommend it. (Oh and if you go in July/Aug they have a abundance of cherry trees full of fruit and they don't mind you picking as many as you like).

My husband and I stayed for two nights in our hired motorhome. The site was easy to find, well signposted and reception welcoming - even though we were early arriving, no problem at all.
Whilst the site appears very full - most of the caravans there appear to be weekenders only, so we were mid-week, so practically had the place to ourselves.
Perfectly level pitch which was a joy - literally park and done!
The toilet, shower and kitchen/laundry rooms are all first class. Spotlessly clean and all in working order. Free showers and plenty of hot water.
The site is just off the A40 and we were concerned it may be noisy. But during the day you can hear the traffic, but not so it disturbs you and at night in the motorhome, no problem at all.
We cycled into Abergavenny and managed to find a nice quiet lane route behind the Site as the A40 is horrid to cycle on. We walked from the Site up Sugar Loaf Mountain and the printed instructions in the reception area were spot on!

What a lovely site just come back from a fab weekend there. Toilets very fresh and clean, well maintained site. Warm welcome on arrival. Long term residents very nice and friendly. Very child friendly, what can I say can't wait to go back take a visit you'll enjoy highly recommend. Near town of Abergavenny, lovely public house near by. Beautiful surroundings. If you have a dog there's a dog walking area. If your going with friends they site you tougher, nothing is to much trouble for owners, very safe site.

Pyscodlyn caravan and tent holiday park is a lovely quiet holiday park. Surroundings are very picturesque. There were six of us camping this year 2015 and had a wonderful time. The facilities are good toilets and shower blocks are modern and kept clean and stocked. The washing up room is clean which also contains a washing machine and dryer. Plenty of local walks. Although we had no children there were plenty and seemed to be enjoying themselves. Recommend

Stayed here for 3 nights, arrived when reception (the farm house) was actually closed but were still greeted warmly and after paying were told we could choose any pitch we liked.
The site was well laid out with spacious pitches. There were separate mens and ladies toilet/shower blocks which were modern and clean.
There was a very handy gate at the rear of the site which enabled you to walk or cycle into Abergavenny without going onto the main road for the majority of the way.
There were also some well signed walks directly from the site. The scenery was spectacular.
No play area so not suitable for children.

Arrived 8pm on the bank holiday Fri. Had originally booked non ehu but on arrival ehu points had become available, we upgrade and were promptly driven round the site on golf buggy to choose our pitch, actually twice to be sure we were happy. Pitch we chose we thought we may require an extension which was duely supplied. Site is a nice size and well kept, toilets and showers clean and smart. Separate men's and women's blocks, with washing up facilities in both blocks.
The site as mentioned in other reviews is excellently positioned for walking to the sugar loaf and also for cycling along the Monmouthshire/Brecon canal towpath.
All in all great site would definitely be back either as over night stop or for longer period.

Lovely small friendly campsite. Well kept grounds and looked like new facilities which were always clean and tidy. Staff were happy to advise on places to go. And even lent me an OS map.
In a good location for exploring and walking. We walked up the Sugar loaf on our first day. Then visited grwyne fawr reservoir as suggested by a resident of one of the farm houses on sugar loaf. Highly recommend this walk. 3 mile gentle climb to the reservoir with beautiful scenery and a stream you can paddle in by the car park at the bottom.
A little way towards cricklehowel from the campsite is a great pub called The Bell, great home cooked food and friendly staff.
We had a wonderful week here and will definitely visit again.
Thank you.

The site is in the perfect location if you wish to climb Sugarloaf mountain, which is what I did on my stay. The friendly and helpful staff even gave me a print out of the instructions on how to get to the mountain from the camp site.
The site was very clean and tidy, with separate male and female facilities, all in good working order.
The separate field for the tents was nice and flat with well cut grass.
I would definitely recommend this site to anyone wanting to walk up Sugarloaf or any of the other beautiful walks in the area.
