A last minute thing, so glad we managed to get away for 1 night.
The kids had so much fun running around and playing in the park.
The field was clean and so loads of space. The pub atmosphere was a lovely buzz.
I would definitely book and come again.

Lovely place in the heart of the new forest.
Good food and children's play area in garden. Landlady and landlord very friendly and helpful. Service was a bit slow on the Saturday afternoon due to new way the pub was trying a new way of serving.
Would defo go back very soon when we can

Nice campsite behind the pub.
Owners very friendly and helpful. Lots of problems with the electrics which they struggled to solve.
Very expensive for a field with water and electric.

Traveling prelockdown the site was very quiet, only us there we camped in the carpark as the field was too wet. The hosts Mel and her husband couldn't have been more helpful.
Considering the lack of customers the menu on offer for meals was extensive. We had a really nice lunch and a lovely meal in the evening Mel even lit the fire for us.
Pub is right on the new forest with open views, we took the first turning off the motorway and were very concerned by the 6'6" wide restriction signs the motorhome being considerably wider, but luckily it was fine might have been an issue if we had met oncoming traffic as single track so would advise using the second exit coming from portsmouth direction.
Would definitely stay there again.
Only downside was the traffic noise from motorway.

A good size field behind the pub with EHU in the middle. We had plenty of space and enjoyed green hedges and trees and blue skies.
Cars could be heard travelling in the distance but it wasn't over bearing.
The pub gave 10% discount at the bar and we were offered use of the toilets etc if there were staff around.
Located directly in the New Forest with immediate access to superb walks and cycling.

Very friendly reception from Mel. Easy entrance, nice laid back band outside on Sunday pm.
Limited beer selection, food decent pub food.
Cycling paradise.
Only small criticism chemical disposal point needed a really good deep clean.
Recommend for hospitality and location. Decent pubs all around for a different aspect.

Great campsite, basic, but all you need. Wi-fi didn't work, not a problem for us but if you have kids that rely on it!
Great outdoor play area. Toilets are in the pub. Very accommodating management.

I liked this campsite because it was Very nice fairly flat campsite With electric hook up, water, chemical disposal point.
Great pub attached to campsite With friendly staff and owners and excellent food and you get 10% of food and drinks when you show the card you are given. Would recommend this campsite.
The campsite is in in new forest and there is a great walk into the forest across from the pub.
It’s very quiet around the site and there are horses, cows in the new forest opposite the pub.
