We visited the first May Bank Holiday 2018 and loved this clean and tidy site, The beautiful weather certainly helped.
Everything was very clean and tidy, with hard standing pitches enclosed by hedges. The green areas (tents and non-elec hookups was very well looked after and, and the loos & showers were spotless.
The staff were very friendly and the cafe food was excellent. We had take-away pizzas one night and breakfast on our last morning. Dogs are allowed in the cafe, and you can take your own wine or beer in the evenings.
There is a lovely dog walk, marred slightly by the mud after a lot of rain the previous week.
It is possible to walk to the pub but we drove because of the mud, and the fishing lake area was virtually impassable even with walking boots. A board walk may be an idea. It’s certainly not suitable for buggies and wheelchairs. Apart from the whole site was beautiful and peaceful
Will definitely return.

2nd visit to this site and as we were late booking for the Whit week holiday we were pleased to get a hardstanding pitch with EH. Again we would not normally go away during school holidays however we tacked it onto the end of 19 days away along the coast so that we could sequentially invite our daughters and respective grandchildren to visit.
The site was packed, however the facilities were always clean and whilst there were children playing until sundown (9-9. 30-ish) the moment it went dark it suddenly went quiet so no complaints there.
The main reason for leaving a second review is to compliment the owner upon the introduction of the 'Pitch 25' restaurant. We had freshly cooked pizza's, freshly cooked pie's, the service was friendly and the food was always piping hot. We tried he breakfast once and left quite full, quality was excellent.
They also allow you to take your own alcoholic beverages which is welcome difference. We didn't take any to the breakfast meal. Honestly, we couldn't recommend it more.
If I could make a recommendation it would be to extend the opening hours to all day however I understand that they may want to test the response before they commit to additional staffing that may require. More than happy to recommend this site to others, no doubt we will be back in the not too distant future.

On one of the fully serviced pitches, initial problem as it was on a corner our water hose wasn't long enough to park van as they wanted. A quick call to office and warden was going to lend us hose but found it was in use so agreed that we could park as we wanted which ended up being across gravel. Lovely private pitch with great facilities (one post between two pitches).
Cafe Pitch 25 was great especially second week as site filled up. Lovely coffees cakes and breakfasts. We tried the fresh baked bread which was great and had a pizza one night. Papers easy to order and waiting each morning.
Facilities were spotless although no iron in the laundry. Site kept immaculate lots of loo and bin stations and fantastic long dog walk (though they need to be on lead so make sure you have a long extender).
Altogether a fantastic site with really lovely people. We arrived and left on a Sunday which was good as there was a very long road up to the site which was perfectly alright for vans but had a quarry on it and some days 2 or 3 lorries thundered past so don't know how that would have been with van on back.
Lots to do in area recommend Lymington very dog friendly and Avon Hurst country park off the A31.

We have just returned from a beautiful weekend at Hill Cottage Farm. We were on one of the new hardstanding pitches in the grass area of the site. Plenty of room for our Go Pod with rear awning and car. Site was pretty full but the facilities were always clean.
For the bank holiday there was a different promotion everyday at the Pitch 25 Café. We would thoroughly recommend this site for families as they have a good play area.
Anything that needed fixing was dealt with promptly, eg loose loo seat. Reception sells a few essentials and ice cream and you can order a daily paper. New loo and shower block being built in grass field 2019.

Found we had a two week slot available leading up to the Bank holiday, and this was my second call. The very helpful owners managed to get us in for 5 days on a fully serviced hardstanding pitch.
Access is easy from the end of the M27 despite being a little narrow through Fordingbridge and the directions made it easy to find.
We were directed to our pitch immediately upon arrival and although it was at the end of the site and I had to do a 180 degree turn with the van on the back the owner helped out and I didn't even have to use the mover.
Not a time of year when we would generally go away I was expecting the facilities to be overrun however, although we used the shower in the van I never saw a queue in the showers or toilets on my visits there.
Shower and toilets always looked as if they had just been cleaned and although they did specify a closing time for cleaning I think they kept a close eye on their condition and never let them look anything but clean and tidy.
The camping field(s) looked almost level and appeared that most had EHU.
A number of pubs within easy driving distance and if you wanted to walk through the woods there was a pub in Alderholt 20 mins away.
Can't fault this site and pleased to give it 10 stars. Would definitely use it again

Good clean site but was very busy at the weekends, quiet in the week. Facilities were kept beautifully clean.
The only slight problem that I came across was the toilet block in the camping field had no showers and 3 steep metal steps to get in and out, as I use a stick I found it a little difficult and the main block is quite a trek from the tent area where the easy access/family room was.
Great site for groups and families but not really for me

Well it looks as though I'm the first this year to leave a review with a touring caravan. We have been to this site before and a wonderful site it is too, Showers and toilets are very clean and well maintained As a previous poster has said with a mobile home pitches not quite level but hey ho easy enough to level up.
Met by the site owner who helped us square onto our pitch and always a greeting when we met on site. We did travel around a lot so not too much time spent on site but was very quiet while we were there. The office do hold a few essentials so you wouldn't be be stuck.
All in all a very nice clean friendly site we look forward to another visit in the future. Just one other thing, if you aim to visit this site when you get Alderholt ignore the sat nav as it sends you down the back of a Public House and its a beggar to get back onto a busy road

Great site. No road noise, yet easy access. All the facilities you would want. Hard standing pitch was not quite level, but would certainly never bother a caravan. Hedges between all hard pitches give adequate privacy but of course there are no views. If you want country you can walk around the LARGE field adjoining the site, with its ponds or walk through the woods to the village.
The showers and toilets ere well maintained and clean. Plenty of hot water, yes you do have to press the usual button. The spray heads are not going to drench you but are all you need. The site was busy being half term but we never had to queue. The WiFi works but is slow as you might expect, but only £1 a night. 3G signal seemed good.
There were plenty of kids but we were not bothered by any late night noise. Lyndhurst, Brockenhurst, Lymington, Milford on Sea and Highcliff all an easy drive.

Took my grandchildren to this site for a 2 night stay.
They loved it. Nice play area where they met up with other children staying on the site, and a good games room where we spent time in the evenings, containing a Pool table, Table Tennis table, a Foosball table and plenty of boxed games.
Surprisingly, we were the only ones using it in the evenings.
Beautifully kept site and very quiet.
Shower blocks were well kept.
Lots of places to visit within a few miles of the site.
There is an information room on site with plenty of leaflets.

Beautiful site run by friendly, helpful people, located in a beautiful part of the country.
We visited a number of attractions located within the new forest and also some of the coastal towns all within a maximum of 30 minutes drive.
Plenty of good local pubs providing value for money food. For all other food needs there is a small Co-op supermarket located in the village.
