Nice quiet campsite with hardstanding and grass ehu for motorhome and campervans.

Tent field and non ehu in separate field where there are 2basic toilets.

Which is a 2mins walk from ehu site. No lights etc at night so a bit scary unless you have a torch.

6 bells pub 5mins walk from campsite lovely meals family plus accepts dogs on kead.

Would stay again at this site

Lovely quiet site. Owner Andrew, very nice bloke. Really nice area, plenty of dog walks, on site and in surrounding area.

Very nice pub, Six Bells, just up road.

We found toilet block smelly and not very private, but were spotless.

Site entrance not well marked, when approaching from A 22, local shops non existent, apart from local cafe/ shop.

We will visit again

 Positives

Great ice cream.

Lovely nature trail.

Really smart, reasonably priced crazy golf course.

Beautiful field of sunflowers to sit in.

Easy to find as signposted off the road as Heaven Farm.

Negatives

We were a group of 4 families and only given 2 pitches which given that only the edge of the field is almost flat meant our tents were quite cramped.

The road next to the camping field is noisy.

Nice to have flushing toilets but long way from the pitches.

Neighbour had a VERY noisy party on the Friday night and police were on site at one of the permanent caravans on Saturday morning.

Enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

This site is in a beautiful, quiet location with excellent walks very close by.

The site is well kept and the owner is very friendly and helpful.

There is an excellent pub, The Six Bells, just down the road or The Gun is about a 2 miles very pleasant, easy walk away.

We will return.

I’d known of this site for many years and always meant to spend some weekends there, as I’m a big fan of the nearby Six Bells. After not having used my caravan for a year and a half and being desperate to escape for a while, I booked a week - and absolutely loved my stay.

I don’t want to say what I really think about this site, for purely selfish reasons, but I booked an extra three nights at the end of my stay.

It’s quiet, relaxed and friendly, as is Andy the owner. I found him to be both helpful and flexible. You do need to make use of your on-board facilities, which I haven’t done in the past, but as a 71 year old I didn’t find this any problem.

There are excellent dog walks in the immediate vicinity of the site, though a walk to the Village Shop, about a mile away, turned into a day out by the time I’d had a couple of pints on the return leg.

I don’t think this site would be a good choice for families, but for adult solos or couples, with or without dogs, I would wholeheartedly recommend it.

I was reluctant to post too positive a review, as I don’t want it to become difficult to book, in future, but I loved my stay and so did my collie!

Good, basic, campsite with minimal but adequate facilities.

In a quiet location near a pub.

Field quite soft when we visited but there had been recent torrential rain so that’s not surprising.

With only one negative point, covering the entire stay, from me, this has to be the highest of recommendations.

Quiet, disturbed by the odd tractor working the hay, it is an ideal base to explore this part of the Southern Coastline and towns.

Lewes, Tunbridge Wells, Uckfield, and the jewel in the Crown, Eastbourne.

Splendid walks over Beachy Head, to Severn Sisters, or just meandering around the towns.

OK the weather was too much for the Dog ( HOT)!

Beautiful setting overlooking fields set in an idyllic village with the lovely 6 bells pub which served great food and friendly staff.

Staff at campsite lovely and very laidback.

Grass a bit boggy and not much for my 10 year old son so a little play area would help.

Would definitely use again especially with other adults
