Unfortunately the weather had not been brilliant in the days before our arrival. As a consequence the ground was somewhat waterlogged.
But the site is well looked after and in a nice quiet location at the edge of a picturesque Sussex village.
We enjoyed the short window of sunshine we had and walked the dog around the extended grounds.
Catch the weather right and this site should be an ideal location to holiday in the rural idyll.
Apart from flights of wood pigeons flying over we were also treated to the roar of Merlin engines as the site sits in the flight path of sorties from Farnborough to Beachy Head.
The owners were chilled as were the residents. We will return.

Lovely setting, fantastic views over the fields
Large pitches but grass a bit boggy
Peaceful break with a great pub just a walk down the road, beautiful food and good music at weekends

Lovely campsite in a quiet village in East Sussex with one field for tents & one for caravans & campervan. There's a great pub close by which is easy to walk to, as well as being easily accessible for walking across the beautiful South Downs.
We took our campervan & had a great weekend away. The site was well kept, the toilets clean, with drinking water available as well as a washing up section.
The owner was friendly & easily connectable.
We would definitely stay there again.

A lovely campsite in a beautiful location. Limited facilities ( no showers ) however the toilets were very clean. We were in the field with no electric, lovely and flat and pitches not marked so it was good to be able to pick your spot.
Located on the outskirts of a beautiful village ( Chiddingly ) with a fantastic local pub ( The Six Bells ) a 5 minute walk.
The Weald Way is on the doorstep if walking is on the agenda, less than a couple of miles is another beautiful village ( East Hoathly ), again with a fabulous traditional pub ( Kings Head ).
We didn't meet Andy the owner however spoke on the phone and he was very accommodating and quick to reply to my email booking request and the price per night was excellent value for money.
We will definitely be back for the weekend in the not too distant future.

Met my brothers and sister in laws for a get together.
Andy was great, very helpful.
Good walks to the pubs around the area.
Lovely site in country side.
We will all be coming back, perfect for us with our dogs.

Very basic quiet site. Loved the toilets (strange I know!), little wooden hut, even had a baby rabbit visit when I went to the loo! Andy couldn’t have been more helpful.
Nice pub with good food within a 5 minute walk. If you want a nice quiet site and go back to nature this is definitely the place to stay.
Our daughter is only 8 months so didn’t need anything, it you have older children there are no facilities on site so they will have to amuse themselves.

Serendipitous stay over Whitsuntide with glorious weather enhancing this idyllic simple site.
New to this location but so much to recommend the village and surrounding hamlets.
Live music and great food at the village pub and dog walks a plenty from the site so that no motor travel needed but a homage to Hastings could not be denied.
Will be returning soon please
