Just called by on the off chance looking for an overnight stay on our way further north. I telephoned en-route to ask if they had availability and the staff member I spoke to was very polite and welcoming, he explained that the site would be closed when we arrived but they would leave our pitch details on the noticeboard and the toilet keys on the EHU bollard.
As promised, we arrived, found out pitch and settled for the evening. Our pitch was just large enough for a van, awning and a car but as we have a motorhome we had plenty of room.
I honestly cannot comment on the facilities as we didn't use any as we were away after breakfast the next day.
On a personal level, I wouldn't visit the site again but for no other reason than this is a family friendly site with lots of kids, dogs and such, all of which were no problem at all and everything was quiet from early in the evening.
The site did seem a little packed in and very functional as opposed to the more country/forest locations I prefer but it is designed for a particular market, I am just not that market.
The price was a bit on the expensive side as the clientèle and general feel of the site this weekend was a little 'rough around the edges' but as it is high season I suppose I should expect £23 a night for a campervan with 2 adults

We were at skegness sands for 4 nights on hard stand, toilets & showers were very clean, pitches large, on trying to put up awning found out needed rock pegs you will need heavy hammer to put them in.
Staff friendly office has all you need to find out whats on localy. There is a small spar outside site tesco & morrisons in skegness, bus stop at main road every 10 mins bothways.
There is a small playpark, entry to prom is by a gate you get key when you book in, Go left on prom takes you to 2 pubs with entertainment. Very good site will return.

Absolutely love this site! The office staff are great, friendly and accommodating. If you need to arrive after opening hours, instructions are clearly given on the office window and relevant keys left on your electric bollard. There are plenty of hardstanding pitches, which are the only ones in use during the winter and not so many grass but they are nearer to the sea front. There is also a small children's play area here, which for visitors with young children would be great as you can see the play area from your pitch. The hardstanding pitches are huge though and yes, when the site is busier it can seem a bit like a car park but we love the location and the area for walks and evenings out with our dogs (most of the pubs in the area are dog friendly and serve food). The showers are spotless with lots of hot water and the block is actually warm, which is what you need in January!

We had a 3 night stay here during Feb half term (although my children's half term was a week earlier than most). Quick and friendly booking process and pitch was allocated to us on arrival. Only the hard standing area is used during this time of year but the pitch was spacious and all are only a short distance to the toilets / showers. These we clean throughout the stay and although only 2 showers in the gents there was never a queue. Due to the cold wet and windy weather everywhere was very quiet. There is a gate access to the promenade from the site. Along the promenade (left out of site) there is a couple of dog and child friendly pubs and also a couple just up the road (Royal Oak and Seathorne Arms). Will probably return during a warmer month where we can make more of what the area has to offer.

We have used this site before so the booking and payment was a painless but expensive (for the time of year) formality, we arrived amongst the big freeze but received a warm welcome as usual, only hard standing pitches are used during winter and we had the choice of many for our five night stay.
The facilities are to a good standard but the bad weather has taken its toll, so the laundry was not available, but the hairdresser's was open as normal.
There are some local shops, pubs and takeaways within walking distance and the best and cheep est pub (the beachcomber) is a nice walk along the promenade, dogs allowed inside and good food menu too!
We did walk our dogs into town which took around 45 min for the two mile along the promenade.
The site did not get very busy but it can be a bit like a car park when it does, the ducks roam around and if you feed them they visit you regularly.
Overall a good site with plenty to do any time of year and well worth another visit.

Agree with the flies situation on the previous post, when we arrived the area was swarming with them, was not like that up were the statics were which puzzled me. This rarely change throughout my stay, so we never went out of the van & fly screens were always down as weather was nice.Shame really.
Site has easy access from main road and reception is easy to find,we stayed on hard standing pitch that was really close to my neighbours pitch, we are parked back to back so my door was 6 feet from next door behind.
There are super pitches & grass available, the grass pitches on the hill have the best views, but only if you face the sea,all other vans are looking straight at the miners convalescence home next door which is not a pretty site.
The on site swimming pool was open but at a charge of £3.50 I thought is was very steep, can't see why they cant incorporate something in the pitch fee for free use like most sites. Hence why it was empty for my whole stay on the site.
Toilet block was cleaned daily & showers were good & hot, area is well worth a visit, 2 supermarkets in skegness, morrisons & tesco to chose from all left at the top of the road when exiting the site.

We booked a week on this site, and had great weather, but the flies were awful and only disappeared when the wind got up. The site is quite large, divided into 2 sections of tourers and statics. The facilities were cleaned regularly, (I saw the cleaners at least once a day on site)
We had a lovely pitch,on hardstanding, however the ground was extremely hard, making it difficult to hammer in tent pegs for the awning. We managed, but saw a lot of people give up!
The site has its own access via a gate to the promenade, a nice walk on a evening with the dog (only when the flies weren't around!)
Beach nearby, and plenty to do in the area. Fantasy Island is a must see, a large market set below a fun park, there are plenty of bargains to be had here. Skegness is good for a day out, and the stock cars is a fantastic experience for all (well behaved dogs are allowed in there too). Word of advice if you go to stock cars, take your own chairs!
There are a couple of pubs near to the site, we tried the Oak, food was nice and cheap, and dogs welcome. The site does not have a shop, but just a few minutes walk is a convenience store that sells everything you need. Lots of takeways close by too if you don't fancy cooking.
We would come back to this site we had a great week here.

Stayed here for long weekend. Parents visited and subsequently booked a weeks stay.
I agree with previous review, I don't think facilities need updating - warm, large and clean. Also large family rooms for showering which is excellent for me with my two young girls.
Small children's play area but also gate out onto sea front and beach. You need a key for this and another for the shower/toilets which can be inconvenient if there are more than one of you using bathrooms/going for walks etc as only 1 key supplied for each.
Not terribly dog friendly although dogs are allowed. Signs everywhere telling you not to allow dog to foul park (which can be difficult when Fido is desperate and you have to walk out of site!). Of course, all responsible dog owners clean up after their pets but this site scares the hell out of you just in case your dog has an accident!
Nicely situated between Skegness/Ingoldmells with its glitzy sea-side attractions, but quiet enough to relax.
Bit on the expensive side as you pay for site plus occupants, plus awning, plus dogs etc but well kept. Launderette on site plus hairdressers. No shop, but very reasonable shop on corner of road - ten mins walk away.
Also has indoor pool but not open til Whitsun so cannot comment on price as not included in site tariff. Reasonable size but no inflatables/toys allowed according to sign.
Staff OK but have stayed twice this year out of season and although you can ask to stay til after departure time (11am so better than most)we have been turned down both times. This is a shame as we tend arrive late on a Friday evening and like to make the most of a weekend. For this reason we would probably return to this site for breaks longer than a two-night stay and without our pooches!

We revisited this site for our first trip out for 2010 mainly because it is so close to 6 pubs if the weather was bad. We had a lovely weekend with wonderful sunny weather - but still managed to visit all 6 pubs!
This time of year the grass area is closed but all the hard standing sites were full. All the damaged grass where the awnings had been the previous year has been replaced. Lovely clean site and facilities, don't see any reason that they need updating as in the previous review.

Being brave we decided to venture out despite the poor weather. It seems we were in a minority as there were only 2 other vans on the site.
It certainly turned out to be a quiet break as we never saw anyone during our stay. The facilities were basic but functional although in need of updating.
Overall, the site was adequate without being over appealing.
