Just spent 3 nights at this very pleasant site. A tad expensive for winter (newbies at motorhoming so we need to look at joining a 'club'). Hardstanding and grass pitches were all very well laid out. All facilities were close by and kept clean. Very good security for the whole site. Beware the security guard and dog if you wander off the main paths though! Booking in was quick, friendly and very informative. An excellent small supermarket and takeaways 5 minute walk away. Lovely beach 1-2 minutes walk. We cycled along the front promenade up to Chapel Point (roughly 6 miles) which was very enjoyable. With all the chalet sites we saw I expect the place will be heaving in summer! Bus stop up by the shop cost 60p into Skegness centre. A site to revisit especially as it's open all year.

We have just spent 11 days at this site and would have extended this if there had been a vacant pitch. The site is so clean and tidy, Easy to find and has good access, On arrival booking in is quick and you are informed of the facilities and the location of your pitch. There are two areas of grass pitches and an area of hard standing, Most grass are level, And the hard standing is flat and well laid out with tarmac access roads. You MUST use rock pegs nothing else will go in ! !. Toilets and showers are excellent and always spotless, There are also three 'family' shower \ toilet rooms, These are fantastic if you have young children. There is a laundry on site and a hairdressers, But that's it. There is a good mini mart close by that sells everything you need and this also includes a deli. And meat counter. The site also has direct access onto a good clean beach and is near to a good bus route, But the town centre is walkable and a good flat promenade along the seafront takes you into ingoldmells. I will definitely be going back and recommend this site. Sorry to say but a lot of sites in this area are rough and pack 'em in with poor facilities. This site is so different, Well up to caravan club standards and makes for a pleasurable holiday at a good price

June 2005 Very nice site, up to usual CC standards. Level site with decent sized pitches. Toilet / shower blocks very clean. Site security good as gates locked late evening, key provided for access. Good play area, and two minutes walk to a sandy beach. Highly recommended.

September 2004 This site is good value, we found it was within easy walking distance of the Town Centre level ground walking... The Site was clean and well maintained, usual facilities of shower block, toilets etc in clean condition.. swimmimg pool, fish and chip shop, Club House with entertainment nightly, childrens play area, dogs allowed there is a large supermarket about 10-15 mins walk away... But just as reasonable to eat out in Skegness.. Bus stop just outside the camp entrance if you don't feel like walking also plenty of taxi's cheap.. Can recommend this site and would definately visit again..

July 2004 What a lovely site. Wardens very helpful. Situated by the beach with its own direct access. Security of a high standard. Both hard standings and grass pitches. The site does accept tents. Nice childrens play area. Toilets very clean, not enough of them though. There were three family rooms with shower, toilet and washbasins and disabled washrooms. The site is well worth a visit. The static park next door has (which is part of the same site) has a small pool (extra charge) very clean. Good supermarket a walk away, plus other gift shops. No dog walk on site but we managed by taking the dog along the prom and then down a small lane behind the golf course. The beach directly infront of the site beach access gate is a dog free zone. but a few hundred yards along you can take your dog on the beach.

July 2004 Just returned from a fantastic 3 nights break at Skegness Sands. The site is lovely and really well laid out. Very nice clean shower blocks, as well as separate family shower rooms.
My 5 year old daughter spent all of her time on the playground which is well located within eyes view of the grass pitches. Even my 18 month old baby could have a play.
The location is perfect, we easily walked into Skegness (about 30 mins) and the other way into Ingoldmills/Fantasy Island (about 20 mins), or there are loads of busses into Skegness and Ingoldmills which drop you off just up the road from site.
There are a quite a few takeways, a good shop and a few bars within 5 minutes walk. Dunes bar provided good family entertainment which my daughter loved.
But the best thing about the location of this site, which has already been mentioned, is that you can get directly onto the beach – fantastic.
The site was expensive we paid £22.50 a night because we are not members of the caravan club (extra £5 a night). Plus it would have cost us another £8 to go swimming in the site pool!
Despite this we will defiantly be returning.

We went to Skegness for the Bank Holiday, having never been there with the van ever! Stayed on the CC site at Skegness Sands. The site was fully booked and is apparently so most weekends in the summer. We were lucky to ring on spec. and get a pitch for Saturday and Sunday (someone hadn't turned up the Friday they were booked for). Mr & Mrs Williamson, the site wardens were extremely helpful - Melv had forgotten to put the electricity cable in the van and they loaned us theirs!
The site is laid out very well, spotlessly clean as were the toilets and shower blocks (heated). Toilet blocks had showers in them and curtained off wash basin cublicles. There were also separate (huge) shower rooms and a disabled block.
The site is adjacent to the promenade at the north end. We had a key for the site gate - on to the prom and down on the sandy beach. Near enough to pop back to the van and fetch a cuppa! Our grandchildren (2 & 3) were in their element with this and the kiddies playground on site. The play area is on a separate part of the site away from the road.
There are hardstandings for m/c also. Price was £10.50 night inc elec. Note: only eco friendly groundsheets allowed. Thoroughly enjoyed the weekend and will be going back there again.
