We stayed at Stanah for one night to be near our parent's static van so they could come and see their new tent in action. We paid £21 (twenty one!) for the night with electric.
We had booked an electric pitch only to be told on arrival there wasn't one available, however we were then told that there was one if we were ok with being in the corner, which was fine.
We had some great banter with a few of the other campers, which really made the stay there enjoyable.
For the price I found the toilet and shower facilities fairly dated but were kept clean, however did hear stories of no hot water and a shower that like to eat the tokens. (for a cost of £21 a night, you would of thought showers would of been free not extra tokens to buy).
The site seems to cater more for caravans wanting peace and quiet and the tent field an after thought.
Very expensive for the little and outdated facilities available but pleasant all the same.

On arrival there was nobody at reception but it wasn't long until the owner arrived, very pleasant and helpful and told us the showers take 30p tokens, showed us to our pitch which was a nice little spot in the corner of the site,
Electricity pillion is an eye sore but apart from the slight noise its not a massive deal but defo does spoil the tenting area ever so slightly.
Day 1 had very little hot water or hand wash but this was quickly sorted.
2 showers in for each sex, these were clean as were the toilets but could do with being updated.
If we return to blackpool I would go back but would like to try other sites in the area first.

We have just got back from our first visit, and have left our caravan there for permanent storage so we can go again n again. It is a lovely site very well run and organised, clean and tidy. Brilliant for children of all ages and there is so much to do. We don't even have our own transport and everything is in reachable distance. We have been camping for few years now and this is by far the best campsite we have ever stayed on. Everyone was so helpful and friendly and the owner is lovely. 110% recommend this campsite

Visited this site, and found it very handy for the blackpool coast,
Warden was very helpful as we booked at last minute, but it seemed nothing was too much for them,
Toilets was always clean and plentiful,
Some very nice walks, close by
We will be using this site again,
Not too far away is an excellent play area looks like it has just been built or refurbished, but they have made a good safe job of it,
Overall this is a well run small site that will definitely be seeing us again in the not too distant future.

Friendly staff but site was unappealing to us as there were not enough temporary pitches most being taken up with semi permanent tourers. So we were stuck in the middle with no grass for our dog to lay on, also not really close enough to walk to anywhere and not on a bus route. Your own transport necessary to get anywhere significant.
The toilets and showers were adequate nothing special but hot water was readily available on our visit. No pub or shops within a reasonable walking distance. What looked like a nice nature walk close by but we didn't have the time

Our first time camping was a fab experience all helped by doreen the camp site owner what a lovely lady. Toilets, showers and laundry all cleaned daily. Site clean.
Excellent for family's with young children very safe kids park. Definitely will be returning look forward to next visit. Local pub bay horse excellent food and value 2 for 1 and friendly staff.
Although a little more than a mile away walk bit far for young children, take away delivered to site lovely also reasonable. Chip shop in village also lovely !

Campsite was quite hard to find, tucked away behind a housing scheme, but once we found it we were delighted with the facilities which were more than adequate for touring.
The proprietor was pleasant and helpful. As it was the week prior to a bank holiday we had the tenting area to ourselves but we did enjoyed the peace and quiet.
There was a huge pylon running over the tenting area but this was not noticeable after a few hours. Most of the pitches were on a slight slope but we found a lovely spot with electric hook up on the flattest part of the site.
I would use this site again and recommend it to anyone looking for a nice quiet time.

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to Doreen she made are stay amazing, we were the only young people there and she made us feel very welcome, even had a moan at a lady pissing behind our tent lol. Doreen was very helpful even drew us a map, she was constantly cleaning due to the lack of respect from other visitors who treated the toilet block like rubbish I wouldn't like to see any of their houses! the site was lovely and peaceful and have already booked for a longer stay next year just hope people read this a respect the facilities so Doreen doesnt have to clean behind adults.
