I stayed here in the middle of August when it was full of families celebrating the end of Covid lockdown. As a result, it was quite noisy with a radio in every other tent and loud talking late at night. I had expected this, so did not spoil my stay.
The campsite is well located for Bakewell and the rest of the Peak District, the pitches are generously sized, and the facilities are generally good. My ( very minor ) complaint is that the disabled facilities were scarcely adequate.
The shower cubicle was difficult to get in and out of easily, and there was nowhere to sit down. This is a minor issue, and overall I’m happy to recommend this site.
Another small issue is that the well stocked shop promised by the campsite was a couple of shelves with little on them.
Not really a problem when there is a large Aldi only a mile away, but make sure you bring everything with you.
Stay here if you want safe family fun. Don’t stay here if you want peace and quiet in high season.

The location is excellent for Bakewell but we were disappointed with the site.
The pitches are far too close. We found some visitors very noisy sitting outside until 1 in morning thankfully not near us. Kids screaming until 11. 00pm.
The skips for rubbish were overflowing.
Only 2 showers working in the ladies. A third said it had been vandalised. Didn’t have a long wait but black mould on grout and corners needed a good scrub.
Enjoyed the pizza from the van but overall despite its location won’t be rushing back.

The park is excellent, great size pitches. The facilities are spotless and the location to Bakewell just a short 20 min walk.
On site there is a secure dog walking area. Chatsworth houe and other attractions a short drive away.
Can't wait to return.

Beautiful campsite overlooking some very scenic views of the countryside.
Toilets were very clean and the campsite was lovely and peaceful every evening. We also had some lovely friendly ducks over to visit our pitch every so often.
Very close to Bakewell town centre which is within walking distance.
Would definitely rate this place 10/10. Will be coming back next year for sure!

Excellent location within walking distance of Bakewell and Ashford in the Water. Good clean facilities and friendly staff.
Some of the pitches have good views but many, like ours, just had a view of other caravans and a tall hedgerow.
The pitches are adequately sized but with little or no separation so lack any privacy. Caravan and awning have to be pitched on the chopped stone hard stand and the tow car goes on the grass. My pitch was level but a bit too close to the units opposite.
I didn’t use the bar area which looked popular. My 10 year old daughter really enjoyed the playground.
