Happy to agree with previous complimentary reviews, so in order to avoid repetition, I’ll just add some details.
Site is surprisingly quiet and secluded considering its proximity to industry and town.
Pitching area is well sheltered, level, well drained, well lit at night and has perfect pegging conditions.
Facilities are very good. (Access is with key - £10 returnable deposit. ) Showers are free, cubicles spacious, and push buttons properly adjusted to give suitable shower time!
Very family friendly with pleasant play area and opportunity for children to ride their bikes / scooters.
Very dog friendly with no charge for dogs. Nice dog walk on footpaths that go round the outside of the site.
Lidl store and seafront is an easy walk. You go out the back gate (combination needed to get back in) follow footpath up uneven steps, turn right over railway bridge and you will see Lidl. Seafront is another 200M - 300M in front of you.
To sum up: An extremely well kept and pleasant site.

Well I have forgotten how many years we have been coming to Peewit but as usual made very welcome.
Since last year the satellite system has been installed well worth the £1 a night as there are only certain spots that you can get tv from an aerial.
The Docks are not a problem noise wise if you don't listen for them you wont hear them.
I have never been to a Privately owned site like Peewit that put so much on for entertainment these people really consider the people who come here for their holiday.

First visit to site - will definitely be going again. The staff are very friendly. The site is well maintained and the toilets & showers are clean, with piped music. The pitches are good. The site is in easy walking/cycling distance to the beach.
The dock viewing area is excellent, spent many hours watching the huge container ships coming in to unload - thanks to staff for printing off schedules for us.
Paper delivered on site so you can order your daily paper. Icecreams and chocolate on sale in shop.
Plenty of literature on places to visit and the staff were very knowledgeable on where to go and which were best fish and chip shops etc. To say you are near the docks, there is not a lot of noise.
Excellent will definitely be going back again.

Yes did enjoy the music whilst using the excellent shower facilities. The site is sandwiched between the town and docks and can't say any noise from docks bothered me.
Thought the staff at the park very friendly. 15 walk to the seafront by turning left outside the site entrance road, there is also a Chinese take-away in this direction as well as an hourly bus service(77) to Ipswitch, however the easiest way to the town is using the rear footpath which leads directly to the new Lidl and then to the town, the code for the gate on the return can be obtained from reception.
Paid £16/night for two with ehu. Sky dishes were being installed during our visit.

Have visited this site for a few years now and was made welcome from the first telephone call I ever made.
Each year there is a little change to the site and this year as said before the music in the toilets (brilliant ).
This year also saw the new showers excellent change. I will just as soon as I get the school holiday dates book for next year
Nothing is too much trouble for the staff here they will go out of there way to help.
Im really looking forwarsd to 2011.See you all again then.

This was our first outing after having bought our folding caravan.
We thought this to be a lovely site everyone friendly and helpful. Listening to the owls calling was an absolute wow!
Apart from shop facilities which could be much better everything else was fine. First class shower and toilet facilities we just loved 'Classic Gold' playing in the shower and toilet block just as we do at home.
Obviously being new to camping we want to visit other sites but will definitely return probably again and again.

Peewit Park is a very clean, quiet, friendly place and everyone is very nice and helpful. The toilets / shower block are immaculate and well kept, together with the rest of the park. Everyone is very nice and helpful.
It is only a short 15 min walk to the main seafront. This is the ideal place if you are after a quiet / peaceful break. We will certainly go back for more weekends away.

Have stayed here several times, but this time left it until the last minute and luckily was fitted in. Arrived Friday night to be welcomed as usual by the very friendly wardens, preparing for a table top sale on Saturday morning.
Had a mid field plot but lots of room. Cost £80 for the three nights (bank holiday)plus £10 deposit for the toilet. Everything really clean and tidy, bit thrown this time by the constant music in the toilet block - think this is a waste and the fact that the lights are on the whole time. For a David Bellamy park this is surprising and also the recycling banks I don't think are sufficient to handle the mix that you have.
However, again, everybody very friendly, peace and quiet at night - was amazed when people said about the noise from the docks, you would have to be sitting listening for it. Shop which sells papers and general groceries less than 10 minute walk.
Beach with brilliant walks right into Felixstowe or other way to docks only 10 minutes away, about 15 minutes walk into town - variety of cafes etc. all prices, cinema, tesco local, everything you could want really.
There is a railway station tucked away, don't think there is anything you couldn't buy here - just don't be too fussy. Lots of cycle rides on flat ground, lots of walking - maps available from tourist information on sea front in the town - well worth a visit. Now a Lidl in town with excellent parking even for big motorhomes or caravans.
The customer service in most of the shops here is excellent, there is a big market most Sundays (if the weather is not too bad) and it is worth checking out the theatre etc. To see what else is happening. Felixstowe looks at first like somewhere there is nothing to do, don't you believe it - worth a visit, Peewit is the best site there, looked at them all.

It was a lovely site, and great value for money. The showers and toilets were always clean, the shower cubicles a little small, but there is one big one which I used when I needed to shower the children. Had a few nightmares with the washroom key though, due to my children misplacing it!
You can hear the port noise, but nothing that bothers you, its quite a relaxing noise really.
The staff were extremely helpful, and whilst we were there there was a little fete that we all enjoyed very much.
The beach is a 10 minute walk away for an adult, but for a dawdling toddler more like 20 minutes.
We enjoyed our holiday very much, we were pitched right near the park which we all thought was great, we will definitely be visiting again.

Only stopped one hour. Set up caravan and porch awning then heavy pile driving started from Felixstowe docks which is very close. The ground shook and I shook and I was told that it only goes on for a few hours a day but as I was looking forward to a few relaxing days I decided to leave. The site staff were very understanding and from what I saw of the site it looked good. When the construction at Felixstowe docks is complete it will probably be a nice place to visit but check first.
